“Here, eat this.” Kai handed you two pills of medicine prescribed by Doctor Lee after you managed to finish half of your porridge. Taking those pills from him, you then proceed to swallow them and gulped down a glass of water hurriedly.
“I need you to sleep with me today.” Kai grabbed the glass from you and placed his palm over your forehead. Hmm... still warm but better than before. He slightly nodded in ease.
“Why the heck would I do that?” You were confused. “You’re sick and I don’t want anything bad happens to you.” His impassive stare gave nothing away. Chortled, you replied. “The worse thing is going to happen is I will faint. But you never know because I’m asleep. Get it?” Your laugh stopped mid-air when Kai narrowed his eyes. “Your health is not a laughing matter.” Scowling, you crossed your arms. “Sheesh, okay. Learn to take a joke please.”
“Where are you going?” Kai eyed you whom exited the dining hall. Without looking back, you responded. “I’m going to watch TV and call my boss. It’s still early to sleep.” It was only half past eight. “I already called your boss. You have two days leave.” You stopped on your track and turned around. “How did you know my boss’ number?” You felt as if your privacy has been violated. Kai stared at you with hardened eyes, unfazed by your displease tone. “I know everything about you, Hana.” His deceptively soft voice made shivers ran down your spine. Holy . Did I just marry a psychopath? You blinked twice at him before making your way towards the TV room.
Nervously, you knocked on Kai’s door then poked your head through the door. Sitting on an L-shaped couch, he motioned you to come in. He is still doing his work at eleven? No wonder he is successful at a young age. You thought in amazement.
“Wait, are you sure you want to sleep with me?” You asked him. Kai cocked his head on one side with amusement. “I don’t want you to catch my fever or cough.” You added. Shutting down his Macbook, he stood up and went towards his king-size bed. “I don’t mind, as long as I know you’re okay.” You held out your hands. “Seriously, last chance to bail.” “Get in the bed, Hana.” He ordered yo
