Chapter XI

Rooftops

Minseok was leaning against the counter and staring at the large oven in front of him. It was early on monday morning and it was long before the morning rush would be coming in. It had been a long weekend with his sisters being home but he was lucky he had gotten through the worst of it. They knew Luhan was back and they promised they wouldn’t cause trouble but he knew better. This wasn’t the end of it with them. They would bring it up again soon. For now he enjoyed the silence of the kitchen. The cafe was empty and none of his employees came this early. Only he did, so he could make fresh new baked goods for the day.  It was the these cold mornings he spent in the warmth of the kitchen surrounded by the smells of cookies and breads that Minseok enjoyed the most. This is what he had dreamed of having all his life. A perfect place where he could share his love for food and coffee with others. People could have a brighter better day here and that gave Minseok so much hope. It made him happy because everyone else was happy.

The store phone started to ring and he picked up wondering who would call this early. “Hello, This is Brew for You Cafe. How can I help you.”

Thank god, I thought I was calling too early. This was my only free time today.”The woman on the line said happily.

“I’m here to help miss. So what can I do for you?” Minseok asked.

“Do you by any chance cater for morning events. A friend of mine suggested you. She said you guys are great for coffee and sweets.”

“Yes, we do cater! What kind of occasion are looking to have food for.” Minseok smiled and rushed to get a note pad.

“It’s an executive meeting. We have a bunch of big board members coming in from out of town and the meeting is in the morning. It’s going to be a week from now, next monday. Is that fine?”

“That’s fine, If you give me your email I can send you a full menu. Then you can email your exact order. I think that would be convenient.” Minseok suggested.

“That would be perfect! My name is Antonia Welsh. My email is [email protected].” Minseok wrote it down on the pad as she spoke.

“Ok, I’ll email you a little later today.” Minseok put the pad to the side.

“Sounds great, thank you so much!” She chirped and then hung up the phone. Minseok sighed and looked at the name written on the pad.

“This is gonna rock.” Minseok laughed.

Luhan growled as he walked into the office. He hated early mornings and it didn’t help that the business partners he went out with last night insisted on one too many rounds of drinks. He stopped at his secretary's desk.

“Did you order the catering for the meeting next week?” h=He asked her. Antonia looked up from her computer.

“I did! I got it from-”

“That’s great.” He sighed and walked into his office without hearing the rest of the sentence. She shrugged and went back to work.

Luhan sat down at his desk and immediately turned around to look at Minseok’s portrait. He leaned back and looked at it. He had been considering what Minseok had told him about not wanting everything. It made sense to him because Minseok had never been the one to say he wanted the world. Luhan had always found Minseok’s simple dreams charming. A happy family and a warm cafe that everyone wanted to visit. Luhan was the ambitious one of the two of them but it seems that Minseok had never realized that Luhan’s ambition was very real. It wasn't just idle dreaming to Luhan, they were real goals he had set for himself. He couldn’t understand what was so wrong about that. But maybe it wasn’t his ambition that Minseok disliked but what his ambition had made him. Hard and relentless...that couldn’t be it either though because Luhan had always been relentless, Minseok knew that. What was it then? Luhan knew there was something about he was missing.

“I hope you’re thinking hard about the board of directors meeting next week.” Victoria’s judgemental voice brought Luhan back to reality.

“If that will make you happy then yes I am.” Luhan spun around his chair to face the woman.

“It would make me very happy. Just so you know Jinah finally RSVPed to the meeting.” Victoria said looked down at the clipboard in her hands.

“Always the last person to answer.” Luhan sighed.

“Fashionably late she would call it.” Victoria chuckled. “That is all I have to tell you for today. I have to meet someone today for coffee so I will take my leave.” Victoria her heel and promptly left the office. Luhan sank lower in his chair and turned back to Minseok’s portrait.

“Another day, Love.”

Changmin walked out his door to go on his morning run but when he got outside he saw two people standing on his stoop.

“Hello, Yujin. Hello, Sohee. I didn’t know you two were in town.” He smiled at the two girls

“We just got here a couple days ago. We came for christmas this year.” Yujin smiled.

“So what can I do for you two?” He asked, curious why they came to his home so early in the morning.

“We got news someone else also came back to town.” Sohee sighed.

“You mean Luhan.” Changmin frowned. He didn’t understand why they would bring that up. “I know he’s in town. Minseok had a big incident right before you got here. Junmyeon told me they got in to a big fight.”

“Yeah, we heard. We’ve also noticed that in recent day Minseok has been really upset.” Yujin began.

“We think the fight really took a toll on him. He’s not saying anything to us but we can tell.” Sohee continued.

“Really? None of the guys said anything so I guess you’re right. I wonder why he isn’t talking about it.” Changmin’s frown got deeper.

“You know, Minseok. He never wants to burden others. He’s so sweet like that.” Sohee smiled.

“He is.” Changmin smiled to himself.

“So the reason we came to you to tell you this is because we want you to take Minseok to this.” Yujin pulled out two tickets. “These are passes to a Coffee lovers festival in the city this week on Wednesday. We want you to take him to cheer him up.” Yujin explained.

“Why me?”

“Minseok really confides in you.” Sohee insisted.

“And we know you care about him. We just want someone that can cheer him up. Someone who is somewhat removed from the situation. Please do this for us.” Yujin pleaded. Changmin looked conflicted for minute but then he smiled.

“I can do that. I’ll go over the cafe and invite him today.”  Changmin took the passes from Yujin.

“Thank you so much, Changmin.” Sohee smiled brightly.

“Yeah, you’re great! We’ll let you go on your morning run. Thank you again.” Yujin stepped aside and waved good bye as Changmin jogged away.

“Mission accomplished!” Sohee cheered.

“Not quite yet. It’s going to take more than one date to get those two together. This is one of many battles in the war. But today we can rest easy. Let’s go.” Yujin grabbed Sohee’s arm and dragged her away down the street.

“Jongin, I got a call this morning to do a catering job next week. I’m going to be emailing with the lady who called to get her order. Just be ready to do a lot of baking this week.” Minseok said as the two worked behind the counter.

“Ok, I'll make sure we have enough ingredients and to replace any we’re out of.” Jongin nodded.

“Good.” minseok smiled. the door chimed and he looked up to welcome the customer and smiled when he saw who it was. “Changmin, good morning.” he greeted.

“Good morning, Minseok.” Changmin walked up to the counter.

“What can we get you?” Jongin asked.

“Nothing actually. I came in to ask Minseok about something.” Changmin said as he pulled out the tickets from his pocket. “Earlier this morning I got these ticket to a big coffee lovers fesitval in the city. I wanted to know if you wanted to go with me?” Changmin showed them to Minseok.

“Seriously! When is it?” Minseok asked.

“This Wednesday.”

“Oh no, I have to get ready for a cater job this week.” Minseok deflated immediately.

“Hey, don’t worry about it. I can handle this place for a day. Go have fun.” Jongin patted Minseok on the back.

“I don’t know.” Minseok pouted.

“I’m telling you everything will be fine.” Jongin insisted.

“Ok, I’ll go.” Minseok brightened up instantly.

“Awesome, I’ll pick you up at 9:00 am on Wednesday.” Changmin smiled and left the cafe. Minsoek and Jongin went back to work while someone at a table across the cafe smiled at their tablemate.

“Did you hear that?” Taeyeon looked at Tiffany.

“Of course I did. Damn Yujin and Sohee work fast.” Tiffany chuckled.

“We have to tell everyone about this.” Taeyeon took out her phone.

“Already ahead of you.” Tiffany waved her phone with an already sent message to Seohyun on the screen. Taeyeon giggled and started to text someone else.

At the hair Salon down the street Seohyun's phone went off next to her and her client. She picked it up and smiled at the message.

“This just in, Changmin just asked Minseok out on a date and he said yes.” Seohyun said out loud.

“No way!” the client who was sitting Seohyun’s chair gasped.

“That’s big news.” Shirley with her hair in the dryer sat forward.

“I’ve got to tell Bom.” Chaerin said putting her magazine down on the glass table and taking out her phone. That text reached Bom at mother’s boutique a street over. she ran to the front of the store right away.

“Dara, Cheondung you’ve got here this.” Bom went up to the siblings in the store.

“What?” Dara looked at her friend’s phone. “Minseok is going on a date with Changmin? Are they together now?”

"Good for them.” Cheondung looked impressed.

“For real?” Maria and Layla, the two workers laughed from behind the register.

“Really.” Bom nodded her head furiously. “Chaerin heard from Seohyun, who heard from Tiffany who was there when it happened.”

“I should tell the guys.” Cheondung pulled out his phone.

Back near the Cafe Joon took out his phone when it rang. He was standing next to Yifan, who was talking about the alterations he is planning to make to Joon’s bike. Joon smiled when he saw the text and nudged Yifan.

“Hey dude, hear this. Cheondung just said that he got news that Minseok and Changmin are going on a date this Wednesday.” Joon pointed to the text on his phone.

“Seriously?” Yifan grabbed the phone.

“Yup, He heard it from Bom who heard it from Chaerin, who heard it from Seohyun, who heard from Tiffany, who was there.” Joon explained pointing to the text.

“How do you know it’s true then?” Yifan looked unconvinced.

“If the info came from Tiffany then you know it’s good. She knows everything. She’s almost as good as Mrs. Rodriguez at digging up dirt.” Yifan looked more convinced after the other man said that.

“I’m surprised. I thought Minseok would never go out with anyone.” Yifan handed the phone back to Joon.

“He’s probably sick of being sad over his ex-boyfriend. Now, what did you say about new paint?” Joon looked back at the bike. Yifan wondered if it was that simple because Minseok didn’t seem so over Luhan last time he checked but he decided that it was a good thing. Never look a gift horse in the mouth he thought to himself before going back to the motorcycle in front of him.

Tuesday flew by and soon it was Wednesday morning and Minseok was getting ready for Changmin to pick him up. By now the whole apartment knew about his date and were sitting in the livingroom watching him run around. Yujin and Sohee had satisfied smiles on their faces while the other were mix between pleased and confused.

“So Minseok, Changmin just asked you out?” Junmyeon asked the man who was standing in the kitchen.

“Yeah, isn’t it great! I’ve wanted to go to this festival forever!” Minseok said happily.

“And you just said yes without hesitation.” Yifan asked carefully.

“Of course I hesitated.” Minseok laughed. They all leaned in.” Because of the catering job next week and the prep I had to do this week. Jongin said it was fine though.” Minseok explained further and they all just looked confused. Before they could ask another question there was a knock at the door. Kyungsoo got up to get and let Changmin inside.

“You ready to go?” Changmin asked Minseok as he came in.

“Of course! I’ll see you guys later today ok!” Minseok waved and went out the door with Changmin. There was still a stunned silence among the young men in the room.

“This is a good thing but I’m baffled.” Kyungsoo sighed.

“I guess we should just be happy.” Junmyeon stood and rolled his shoulder.

“Yeah, we should encourage him. Changmin’s a great guy. That’s what he needs.” Yifan nodded confidently and sat back in his seat.

“It’s for the best.” Kyungsoo nodded.

A soft snowfall fell over the city as Changmin and Minseok walked down the city streets to the hotel that was hosting the festival.

“I’m so excited! Companies introduce new coffee mixes at this festival. I’ve always wanted to go.” Minseok was practically hopping down the street.

“I knew you would like this, coffee prince.” Changmin laughed. They turned into the doors of the hotel and went up to the desk. They showed their passes and the women lead them to the ballroom. Minseok eyes were wide as he stepped into the busy room full of people. There were booths and tasting stations. All different cafes and companies were together in one place.

“Amazing.” Minseok whispered.

“Well, let’s go coffee prince.” Changmin pulled Minseok deeper into the convention. It was a couple hours later when the two finally sat down at a small table beside a cafe booth. Minseok sipped at a cup of cappuccino happily and Changmin couldn’t help but smile at him.

“What are you staring at?” Minseok laughed.

“You of course. I haven’t seen you this happy in weeks. There’s been a storm cloud haunting you for so long.” Changmin frowned. Minseok sat quiet for a second because Changmin was right. Minseok hadn’t been this happy in a long time. This was the first time he could get his mind off of...Luhan.

“I guess I have been pretty gloomy. I wonder if people can’t stand to be around me.” Minseok sighed.

“Nonsense, there is no one I would rather spend my time with.” Changmin Leaned his head on his hand and smiled at Minseok. Minseok couldn’t help but blush at the warm smile. He looked down at his cup. Then he felt Changmin’s hand come under his chin and lift up his face. “You know it’s not your fault right? It’s been rough for you and I know people understand that. Your friends especially.”

“I know that. I just feel bad.” Minseok looked away.

“Why?” Changmin frowned

“Because I feel like I’m bringing everyone down with me.’ Minseok sighed.

“The only reason any of us go down with you is because we don’t want you to be alone at the bottom. When a friend jumps in the hole with you it’s because they’ve been down there before and know the way out. Now smile for me again. You have a gorgeous smile, coffee prince.”

“You flatter me too much.” Minseok rolled his eyes.

“I can’t help it little prince you’re just too charming.” Changmin’s smile got bigger. Minseok sat back in his seat and fought the wide smile that was creeping on his face. He stood up and grabbed Changmin’s hand.

“Let’s talk a walk. I want some fresh air.” Minseok suggested.Changmin held Minseok’s hand tighter and pulled him closer.

“Lead the way.” Minseok hide his blush and turned toward the exit.

Luhan couldn't stop staring at the pictures. It was like all his nightmares had come true in this moment.

“How the did they do this? Are his sisters evil masterminds.” He slammed his hands on the desk. His P.I. flinched and took a step back.

“I hate you say, they looked pretty happy. They were talking non-stop.” He added and Luhan glared at him. “Hey don’t shoot the messenger.” He threw his hands up in innocence.

“I need to see him. I need to pull ahead in this race but I can’t until I figure out why he was so upset last time.” Luhan sat down in his chair defeated.

“I might be able to help?” The P.I. piped up.

“How?’ Luhan looked unconvinced.

“Hey, I have a life and I’m kind of a romance expert.”

“You?  The Lee Myungsoo who hasn’t been with someone in a year or two? You’re a romance expert.” Luhan laughed.

“Don’t knock it till you try it. So what is it that he said to you exactly?” Myunsoo pulled up a chair.

“He was going about how I can’t have everything and that he never wanted anything more than us. Also about how he is property and-”

“Stop right there I know exactly what’s going on here.” Myungsoo nodded

“What is it then.” Luhan folded his arms and sat back.

“It’s obvious he feels like just aother object you’re trying to own. I know that you will stop at nothing to get what you want. Wealth, fame, anything but this Minseok guys doesn’t want to be treated like all that. He doesn’t want to be another asset you think you can just have. He is person, he wants to be romanced and treated like a prince.” Myungsoo explained and Luhan sat shocked in his chair.

That was it. Why hadn’t he thought about that before. Minseok was scared that he was just another thing to Luhan. Luhan needed to let him know he wasn’t an object but a person that Luhan loved and cherished. He had been going about this all wrong. He had to stop trying to get Minseok back and start winning him back. He had to make Minseok fall in love with him and treat Minseok like the beautiful person he was.

“I never thought I would say this Myungsoo, but you’re a genius.” Luhan smiled.

“I know.” The P.I. looked smug.

“No get out. I have work to do.” Myungsoo immediately deflated.

“Yeah, yeah I’m out.” Myungsoo got up and left.

Luhan got back to work because once the board meeting next week was past he would set his new plan into motion.

It was monday morning and Minseok and Jongin were pulling into the underground parking lot under the office building. Minseok was practically vibrating in his seat.

“Calm down, everything's going great!” Jongin laughed seeing how nervous the older was. Minseok rolled his eyes and pulled into a parking spot. A young man came up to the van as they got out.

“Hi, I’m here to lead you guys up.” He smiled.

“Thanks, you don’t mind carrying something do you?” Minseok asked as he opened the back of the van.

“No I don’t mind.” He shook his head. Jongin nodded and handed him one of the coffee dispensers. The three carried the first wave of stuff to the elevator and rode it up to the top floors. The young man lead Jongin and Minseok to the room they would set up in. “These three worker here will be able to help you with the rest. he introduced three young men.

“Great! Jongin take them down and keep unloading the van. I’m going to take care of these coffee dispensers.” Minseok directed. Jongin nodded and lead the three guys down stairs.

“I’ll leave you too it then.” The first young man smiled and left. Minseok waved and then turned to the machines. he started to set up and was extremely concentrated on making sure everything was right. He had three special brews today that they had ordered and Minseok has to make sure they came out right. He had created these brews and he wanted them to like it.

“And the catering got here so everything is going according to the schedule.” Minseok heard voices entered the room. He quietly peeked over the machines and saw a young woman speaking to someone he couldn’t see. He voice sounded like the women he had spoken to on the phone so he assumed she was Antonia.

“Just make sure everything is ready for the directors.” The other person spoke. Minseok frowned because he knew that voice from somewhere but he could perfectly picture who it was. It was muffled and unclear.

“Is anyone in here?’ Antonia called. Minseok rounded the table and smiled at the young woman.

“I am! I’m Minseok, we talked on the phone. I’m the owner of the cafe.” He held out his hand as he walked over. Antonia smiled and shook his hand.

“Will everything be ready soon?” She asked looking at the machines.

“Yes, I sent my employees down with the helpers you gave us to get the rest of stuff out of the van. It shouldn’t take long to get everything set up.” Minseok assured.

“Great, I’ll be back in a few minutes. My boss might pop in again to just check the progress.” She mentioned.

“That’s fine, go ahead.” Minseok nodded and the young women walked out. Just then Jongin walked in leading the other three. “Great! Let’s get this moving.” Minseok jumped over to help.

Luhan walked down the hall with Victoria next to him. He was zoning out as she spoke, listing everything that was being done. He knew all this already, he had memorized that list long ago. He stopped and turned to her and she looked surprised.

“Can you go check on the conference room and make sure there are printouts of everyone’s presentations in the folders at their seats. I did have someone else handle that but I need you to check because I can always count on someone to something up.” Luhan sighed.

“You got it. boss” Victoria nodded and went back to the conference. Luhan turned back around and decided to check on the catering and then go to the tech team to check on the visual material and make sure it will go smoothly. He turned the corner to the room where the caterers were setting up. he heard music playing and thought they must have turned it on while getting ready. He realized he knew the song that was playing. He entered the room and was frozen when he saw who was inside. Dancing alone in the room was Minseok. Luhan remembered where he heard the song now and it was the day he got his driver's license and that night he took Minseok out and they drove out of the burrows on to the highways of Long Island and they blasted that song along the way. He took a step further inside and closed the door quietly behind him. He watched Minseok dance around the room, mouthing the words to the song as he got the room ready.

“Minseok.” He said in a quiet voice. Minseok stopped and turned to see Luhan standing there. The song faded out and it was quiet as the two of them stared at each other.

“What are you doing here?” Minseok asked.

“This is my company.” Luhan explained shortly.

“I didn’t know.” Minseok looked away and went back to work. Luhan walked into the room more and approached Minseok. Minseok just kept cleaning the table but Luhan took his hand and turned Minseok to face him.

“Antonia should have told me you were the one catering.” Luhan sighed.

“Why would that change anything? It’s work.” Minseok frowned.

“I would have told someone else to do this.” Luhan took the cloth from Minseok’s hand and put it on the table.

“This.” Minseok gestured to the room. “Is my job, why would someone else do it. I like doing this.” Minseok pouted. Luhan was about to answer but then he took a deep breath.

“Ok, that’s fine. I just would’ve liked to know you were here. Now that you are, there is something I want to talk to you about. Just talk that’s all.” Luhan looked desperate and Minseok was hesitant. Minseok wanted to give Luhan the chance. Minseok laughed at himself in his head. Of course he wanted to give Luhan a chance, when hasn’t he.

“Ok but-”

“Not now. I know.” Luhan reassured the other. “I'll have someone come get you when the meeting is over. They’ll bring you to my office. We can talk there.”

“That’s fine.” Minseok nodded. Luhan stepped away and smiled.

“Thank you for bringing such wonderful food to our meeting today.” Luhan thanked him and Minseok couldn’t help but blush.

“Uh, you’re welcome.” Minseok stood up straight.

“I’ll be seeing you then, Mr.Kim.” Luhan grinned and left the room. Minseok stood there completely frozen. He was furious with himself because no matter what he does Luhan still has the same affect on him. Luhan comes into the picture and Minseok goes from confident, independent adult to quiet, obedient child in seconds. It was infuriating. Now he had a meeting with Luhan and gods knows what will happen after their last encounter.

Luhan was the first to stand up when the long meeting was over. He was quick to move to the refreshment room. The other directors made their way slowly because of their conversations. Finally the room filled up and everyone was getting their coffee from Minseok who stood with a welcoming smile next to the machines. Luhan tried to keep his distance not wanting to let on they knew each other but he couldn’t keep his eyes off of the other young man.

“You have a thing for baristas?” Jinah slid in and whispered in Luhan’s ear. Luhan turned and glared at the designer.

“None of your business.” luhan huffed.

“Whatever.” Jinah laughed. She looked over at Minseok and frowned. Luhan was now distracted with a conversation so she decided to go over to the boy. “I’m sorry but do I know you? You look familiar.” Jinah smiled as she came up. Minseok looked shocked.

“Well, I don’t recall us meeting but I do have two sisters that do look quite a bit like me.” Minseok offered. Jinah stood silent for a second and then her face lit up.

“Are you Sohee and Yujin’s brother?” She gasped.

“Yes, I am actually.” minseok laughed.

“Sohee works at my store in LA.” Jinah pointed to herself excitedly.

“You must the gorgeous designer Sohee doesn’t stop talking about then.” Minseok smirked.

“Oh did she say that? Well I can’t argue with that.” Jinah flipped her hair.

“Why are you here Ms…” Minseok looked for her answer.

“Jinah just call me Jinah or Nana if you're comfortable.” She smiled.

“Well then, why are you here Ms.Jinah?” Minseok asked again.

“I’m the director of fashion and retail for Andromeda. My stores are my lines but they are technically Andromeda stores.” Jinah explained.

“I see! Well, if you ever want to come out to Queens Ms.Jinah don’t be afraid to come by my cafe.” Minseok handed her a card. “Friends and family always get a good deal.” Minseok winked.

“I absolutely will!” Jinah gasped and walked away in an even better mood. Luhan on the other hand, who had watched the whole conversation, was less than happy. He would have to reel that in though because he had to make his case to Minseok today and he couldn’t let being jealous get in the way of that. That wouldn’t stop him from getting something out of Jinah. He slinked over to the designer and pulled her aside.

“Can I help you?’ She frowned.

“What did you talk about with the Cafe owner?” Luhan asked trying to act like he didn’t know Minseok.

“Why do you care?” Jinah looked suspicious.

“I just want to know in case it had anything to do with being unhappy with the service.” Luhan said smoothly.

“Oh, well I recognized him from somewhere and it turns out his sister, who looks very similar to him, works at my main store in L.A. He was just being nice and inviting me to his cafe in Queens for discounted service as a friend of the family.” Jinah explained showing Luhan the card.

“That’s fine then.” Luhan smiled and the woman.

“Don’t worry Lu I won’t steal your little Coffee crush from you.” Jinah laughed.

“What? Who said-” Jinah put her finger to Luhan’s lips.

“Shhh, I know. You don’t need to say a word. See ya, Lu!” Jinah walked away , leaving Luhan dumbfounded.

It was later after the meeting that Minseok found himself being lead away to Luhan’s office. He told Jongin to wait, saying the boss simply wanted to thank him. Luckily Jongin had not seen Luhan at all and Minseok could hide it from him. Minseok watched the office doors close behind him and he took a deep breath. He looked around the the clean modern room and finally his eyes fell on the portrait behind Luhan’s desk. Minseok gulped and he felt every bone in his body scream for him to get the hell out of there but before he could the door opened again. Luhan walked in and went straight over to Minseok.

“I’m sorry for the wait.” Luhan smiled and took Minseok’s hand leading him over to the couch. They sat down and Luhan didn’t let go of Minseok’s hand.

“So, what was it you wanted to talk about it.” Minseok slipped his hand away. The corner of his eye kept getting caught on the portrait.

“I thought about what you said to me Minseok and I think understand what you were trying to tell me.” Luhan started slow. This really got Minseok’s attention because he hadn’t really thought Luhan would take what he said well. “Minseok I never meant for you to feel like an object.” Luhan looked Minseok in the eyes and Minseok felt something pierce his heart.

That was it, he got it. Minseok expected to come here and fight, not have Luhan understand where he was coming. It actually used to be that Luhan was the only one who understood him but recently it turned to the opposite and now it became alien for Luhan to actually know Minseok.

“You are a person and I never forgot that. I just forgot that a person can’t just be had. They need to be loved. I’ve said I love you Minseok but I haven’t treated you like that. I want the chance to love you again. I want you to feel loved. I want you to feel like more than a thing to be won.” Luhan took Minseok’s hands that were shaking. Minseok could hold himself together because suddenly in this moment it was like it had been three years ago. He saw the same light in Luhan’s eye as he did all those years ago. Luhan, the big CEO, was gone and now Minseok had his first love back.

“I don’t know what to say. You really thought about this.” Minseok said astonished. “I’ll be honest I hadn’t really expected you too.”

“I understand, I haven’t really given you much reason to believe I would. I’ve been a real jerk but I’m hoping you can forgive me.” Luhan smiled that perfect gleaming smile that made Minseok weak at the knees.

“I have always been open to forgiving you, Luhan. I just needed you to be open to understanding me. Seems like you’re starting to.” Minseok sighed.

“I am and now I want to ask you something...Kim Minseok would you go on a date with me? A first date.” Luhan added. Minseok couldn’t stop the soft smile that crept on his face.

“What kind of date?” Minseok looked down at their hands.

“It’s a surprise.” Luhan grinned.

“Oh really, you’re going to surprise me?” Minseok chuckled.

“Yes, and it’s going to be a great one. So how about you say yes.” Luhan leaned in and Minseok couldn’t explain how weak he was to that smile and those lips so close to him.

“Ok.” Minseok whispered.

“Good.” Luhan pulled away and Minseok could feel himself exhale a breath he didn’t know he was holding. Luhan stood up and helped Minseok. "I’ll pick you up from the station at 12 noon this coming Saturday.” Luhan lead Minseok to the door of his office.

“Luhan, I’m really happy you thought about what I said. I know I was harsh but I just wanted-”

“It’s fine. I needed you to do that. You’ve alway been my rock Minseok. Someone had to snap some sense into me.” Luhan laughed.

“Ok, I’m happy you aren’t mad.” Minseok sighed in relief.

"Mad? I could never be mad at you. I’ll see you soon Minseok.” Luhan opened the office door and Minseok walked out. Luhan waved good bye and slowly closed the door. Luhan couldn’t stop the smile on his face as he turned to the portrait on the wall. He walked over to his desk and picked up one of the photos of Minseok and Changmin together. He walked around the desk and slowly fed the picture into a shredder and once it was destroyed he sat done. “ He doesn’t stand a chance.” Luhan laughed.

Author's Note
Who doesn't love a new update! I mean I really hope you guys look foreword to my updates because I always look foreword to what you'll think. This one is really long but luckily I was able to pretty much get it done in one sitting. My recent update for Divination was not so easy. I rewrote that one like three times! I only do that so I can give you guys good quality work for both these stories I'm writing. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Please keep reading, subscribing, and commenting. Thank you for reading!

Chapter 16: I wondered why Eunsoo sounded familiar and then I remembered the lots of fanboys Xiumin has hahaha Jongdae is such a little boy... He looks like the jealous best friend who doesn't like to put his friendship in danger because his bff is dating someone (like he thinks his bff is going to forget him).
I'm talking-writting too much... Don't worry about updates, school is horrible sometimes but it'll be better, and for my part I can wait patiently for the chapters (this story is worth the wait). Also Luhan jealous (this time not being a bit psycho like last time) is going to be funny and who knows, maybe even romantic.
See you~
