Kris was astonished by Lara’s movement and unconsciously kept watching her from his room.

  When Lara succeeded on transforming quickly and turned around to smile brightly, Kris flied away from his room towards where Lara was.

  “O-oh.” exclaimed Lara, surprised to see Kris who suddenly came towards her.

  “Hi Kris...” she added.

  “That was brilliant!” complimented Kris. Lara smiled even wider hearing Kris’ compliment.

  “Thanks. Since when did you see me?” asked Lara curiously.

  “Almost since the beggining. Luhan told me.” answered Kris while gesturing to Luhan who was still inside Kris’s room. They could see him from the windows in Kris’ room. Luhan waved at them.

  “I could also hear your voice loud and clear since earlier.” added Kris.

  “Oh.. Is that so. Well then, Kris. Do you still haven’t change your opinion on continuing my training?” said Lara serious.

  “Are you sure you want to continue training your power?” said Kris, asking Lara instead of answering her.

  “Yes!” answered Lara firmly.

  “Through my observation the past few days, you’re improving more and more. So, the training surely won’t be a waste. Your ability is most likely prominent in defense rather than offense. We can train it to see how far it will be useful.” explained Kris, telling her his analysis about her ability.

  “Yes! That way is cool. I agree.” responded Lara passionately.

  “Well, even so we still have to discuss this with the others first. Especially Suho, Xiumin, Kai, Chen who previously opposed your training.” said Kris again.

  “Yeah, okay. Let’s go and discuss this with them. I’m sure they’ll agree.” answered Lara.

  They then decided to discuss it after having breakfast.

  “So guys, Lara asked me to continue her training just like our first plan. For your information, Lara trained with Chanyeol this morning and she was able to avoid Chanyeol’s attack easily. She even transformed again into a mermaid and dove into the swimming pool. Even after that, she able to transform back and flied again from inside the swimming pool.” explained Kris.

  “Yeah, I saw them too guys.” added Lay, supporting Kris’ explanation.

  “Woah. Was that for real?” asked Baekhyun mesmerized.

  “I wished I could see it too!” said Tao.

  “Yeah, it must be awesome.” exclaimed Sehun. While Suho, Kai, D.O, and Chen still not responding.

  “Guys, please!” asked Lara.

  “Let me continue the training. I want to do this!” she added.

  “Alright then, if that’s what you want.” responded Chen finally. Kai and D.O then nodded.           

  After being persuaded, Suho had also agreed.

  “But, anything that will harm or hurt Lara, I won’t approve it!” exclaimed Suho before finally said yes.       

  “Yes, okay! I will use this opportunity well. Thank you.” said Lara with cheerful smile.

  “Lara, I hope you’ll be able to traing your power well. Kris have prepared different kind of strategies to measure your defense ability. If you feel that Kris is too harsh, don’t hesitate to tell us okay?” said Luhan before her training began.

  Lara’s training finally began again. This time Lara trained with D.O who has the ability to control the nature. They did the training in the forest near Clarence family mansion.

  In the environment full of trees without any pools, ponds, or lakes, Kris wanted to see how Lara would avoid the attacks from D.O without transforming into mermaid or by flying because her movement would be very restricted considering a lot amount of trees in the forest.

  Besides D.O, Kris and Lara, the others weren’t involved in the training but they kept watching from a far. After Kris gave the signal, D.O started to attack Lara. Lara who was standing above the ground then startled by the attack. The ground beneath her was lifted and made her almost fell. Luckily she transformed quickly and flied to avoid falling. But, her body was colliding with the branches of the trees. She then decided to fly to one of the branch and stayed there for a while.

  But stayed still on the branch didn’t seem to be a good idea. D.O could easily control the branch where Lara stayed and tangled her. Reflexively, Lara flied to avoid it but again, she was colliding with the trees around her, limiting her fly distance. She couldn’t fly too high. The trees in the forest gave D.O a lot of advantages to attack her.

  Didn’t have much choice, Lara then jumped from branch to branch because her limitedness of flying. Eventhough she would fly once in a while if the distance between branches was too far. This training helped Lara improving her body reflexes too because D.O’s attack came from different directions.

  “Lara, it’s useless if you just move from branch to branch. All the things that connected with earth can be easily controlled by D.O, you have to find another way to avoid him because your movement is also limited.” shouted Kris trying to help Lara analyze the situation. Lara absorbed all Kris’ words and nodded.

  Lara finally tryied to find a gap between the branches and trees so she could get out from the forest and flied to the sky. When she succeeded, she flied hight enough then stealthily went back into the trees after anticipating D.O’s position. But this time, she didn’t set her foot on the ground nor stayed in one of the branches. She tried to hide between the trees while controlling her space movement to fly without doing a direct contact between the ground or the trees so D.O wouldn’t know her position.

  D.O started to get confused because he couldn’t see or sense Lara’s existence in the forest. He moved around and checked the trees or the ground to find Lara. Slowly but nimbly, Lara used the chance to change position and finally she succeeded on paralyzing D.O from the back.

  Kris then gave Lara some time to rest before continue her next training while discussing about his next strategy.

  “So far, if we only judge it from her Krusnik ability, the most ability used is flying. We saw Lara transformed into Mermaid because she was in the right environment. But besides that, I’m still curious about the shield transformation when she protected herself from Xiumin’s attack that time.” exclaimed Kris to Suho, Luhan, and Xiumin.

  Hearing it, Xiumin felt a bad hunch.

  “Xiumin, it’s your turn next. I want to see the same shield transformation when you accidentaly attack Lara.” said Kris again.

  Xiumin sighed and nodded.

  “Alright.” he responded.

  Kris told Lara to prepare for her next training after she got enough rest time. Xiumin started with firing large size of ice block. Then after that, he started to increase his attacks. He shot it more often but change the ice size into smaller one. Because Lara’s flying position it made him hard to shoot a precise attack towards her and missed quiet a lot.

  Finally he changed his strategy and shot a small size of snowballs but with medium speed and shot it repeatedly. It worked out and a couple of snowballs hit Lara.

  “Lara, imagine if it weren’t a mere snowballs.” said Kris started to provoke Lara. She felt a little bit upset because the snowballs got to hit her eventhough she already tried her hardest to fly and avoid it. Still, there wasn’t much she could do with her Krusnik Nanomachine yet.

  Then Lara thought of something.

  “Xiumin, attack me just like what you did with Kai that time.” exclaimed Lara suddenly.

  “What?! But..” responded Xiumin after hearing Lara’s words.

  “Maybe the Nanomachine won’t react if there is no threat.” she said again.

  “No, wait Xiumin! Lara, I don’t think you’re ready for this. What if you get hurt?” said Suho worried.

  “Guys, I don’t want to waste more time. I want to control this power as soon as possibble. If some threat will do some impact to the Nanomachine, then I won’t hesitate to do it.” exclaimed Lara firmly. She had agreed and committed to continue her training.

  ‘I rather not do this halfhearted.’ she said inside her mind.

  Hearing Lara’s words, Xiumin, Suho, and the other were startled. Kris, Luhan and Chanyeol emitting a proud expression from their faces while the others still looked worried.

  “Getting hurt is a normal thing on training, right? I bet you guys often get hurt too. Moreover, why do you worry so much when you already have an expert healer?” said Lara again gesturing to Lay, trying to subside their worries.

  “Xiumin, let’s start.” said Lara again gently.

  Xiumin and Suho looked at each other. Suho finally nodded slowly.

  “Okay.” responded Xiumin shortly.

  Xiumin did a brief stretching and took a breath while closing his eyes.

  “Get ready, Lara.” said Xiumin again after opening his eyes. Lara nodded firmly.

  Then Xiumin started the attack. As a start, he only shot one attack. He used his frost power to make a small but thick ice crystal. After the first attack, he started to shoot a few shots. Lara still succeed to avoid it but hadn’t found another way to block the attacks. She got impatient over time.

  The more Lara succeed to avoid his attacks, the more Xiumin motivated to shoot more often. With each shots increasing over time, it diminished Lara’s focus. That’s when Xiumin’s attacks finally hit Lara. Lara blocked the attack with her hand when she no longer could avoit it with flying. A bruise appeared at where the attacks hit.

  Xiumin got stupified and stopped his attack while the others startled. But Lara didn’t budge at all, her face expression was unchanged too. Instead, she felt even more upset because she got hit and couldn’t avoid Xiumin’s attack.

  “I’m fine. This is nothing. Let’s continue!” she shouted with a serious expression.

  Xiumin nodded slowly while bitting his under lips.

  “Lara, at least let Lay heal you first!” asked Suho.

  “No, it’s better to heal it all together later than to stop the training every time I got hurt.” responded Lara while avoiding Xiumin who started to attack her again.

  “I don’t think this ice crsytal is not really effective. Why don’t you think of the other attack?” said Lara to Xiumin.           

  Xiumin shook his head.

  “If you can’t even avoid this attack then there will be no difference if I change the attack.” responded Xiumin disagree.

  Xiumin’s continuous attack made Lara felt overwhelm and it got harder for her to avoid it. The attacks kept hitting her and she kept blocking it with her hand, made her bruise worse. But because the ice crystal were dull the pain could still be tolerated.

  ‘Damn, he’s right. What should I do.’ said Lara after hearing Xiumin’s response.

  “I think, these attacks is not a big threat that could triggered the Nanomachine.” exclaimed Lara again while blocking the last attack with her hand.

  “Come on! Try to bleed me.” exclaimed Lara serious while looking at Xiumin.

  After exhaling, finally Xiumin agreed to attack the same attack as he did that time. In the end, Lara still couldn’t avoid the attacks and it made her bleed because the attack this time were made from a thin glaze of ice.

  “Stop this.” shouted Suho.

  “Lara, you're not ready.” he added, worried.

  “No, this is fine. I’m fine.” opposed Lara again.

  “I can still hold out.” she added.

  Seeing Lara’s frustration, Kris thought of something. ‘If a threat that she needs, this might work.’

  ‘Luhan, I need your help. Can you asked Xiumin to produce a large quantities of the same thin ice glaze? You know like a rain made of crystal ice?’ said Kris to Luhan.

  ‘Got it. Wait a sec.’ answered Luhan.

  ‘He said he can. But you won’t ask him to direct it towards Lara, will you?’ asked Luhan to Kris.

  ‘Luhan, here’s my plan. We’re going to ask Xiumin to attack Lara with the rain made of crystal ice. But at the same time, we’re going to ask Tao to stand by and freezes time in case Lara will get hurt. I know that she has been frustrated because she can’t do anything with her Krusnik Nanomachine. I think that it only reacts to a certain unplanned threat.’ explained Kris to Luhan.

  ‘Okay, I got it. I’ll relay it to Xiumin and Tao.’ responded Luhan.

  “Lara, be prepared. I’m going to shot a final attack.” shouted Xiumin seriously.

  The plan was to not let Lara knew about their plain. They would let Lara figure it out by herself what kind of final attack she would received. Hope that it would pose a proper threat to the Krusnik Nanomachine and made it able to transform into the same shield she did last time.

  ‘He’s not joking. Stay alert, Lara!’ added Luhan inside her mind. Lara nodded seriously.

  Then Xiumin extended his hand forward while exhaling with focused vision. He started to move it slowly and ice crystals started appearing.

  “I will release this ice crystals on the count of three. It won’t be as fast as the usual attack because it takes a lot of concentration to release it all at once so you will have time to anticipate it. But beware Lara, the impact of the attack will be severe.” explained Xiumin.

   “1....2....3!” said Xiumin then a dozen of the ice crystals started moving towards Lara. Before Lara could moved anywhere, Xiumin shot a surprised attack. He shot a condensed ice towards Lara’s leg so she couldn’t move anywhere. Kris suggested it. He thought it would add more threat to her Krusnik Nanomachine.

  ‘What?! How can I avoid it?! Lara, come on. There must be something you can do!!’ shouted Lara in her mind and tried to feel the Krusnik Nanomachine inside her.
