Everyone was in shock and startled. With her sudden movement, Lara succeed to catch some of the ice fragments. But what she didn’t realize was the change of tactics Xiumin used. She thought that Xiumin would just shot a small amount of ice but then he shot it continuously and this time the ice fragments is sharper than usual. Realizing that Lara was in his way, Xiumin stopped shooting the ice fragments right away but failed to undo the shot he already made. Lara who was struggled to catch all the ice fragments then unconsciously used her wings to block the ice fragments and turned her wings into some sort of solid shield.

  Almost all of the boys from EXO Planet froze after that, especially Xiumin who just shot a lot of ice fragments towards Lara’s direction.

  “Lara, are you okay?!” asked Sehun, Kai, and D.O after they recovered from the shock.

  “What were you doing?!” exclaimed Chanyeol and Chen afterwards.

  While the others still froze, especially Xiumin.

  “Ah, I’m sorry. I got excited by watching the fight and unconsciously wanted to catch the ice fragments.” responded Lara.

  Seeing the others’ worry expressions and also Xiumin who stood still, she said again, “Don’t worry, guys! I’m sorry I got too excited earlier.” then she stepped towards Xiumin and held his hands.

  “Xiumin, I’m sorry to startle you. I’m fine.” then she hugged him. Xiumin reacted and hugged her back.

  “Lara, your w-wings were..” said Baekhyun stuttered.

  “Oh..” exclaimed Lara, suddenly remembered what happened with her wings earlier.

  “Did your wings just changing shape?” asked Tao again, curious.

  “Well, yeah.. I guess so..” answered Lara unsure.

  “I really didn’t know that these wings could actually change shape. Honestly, I thought I could catch those ice fragments. But then I didn’t realize that the attack was continuous. So I thought I could try and fly avoiding those ice fragments. But before I realized it, these wings had changed shape and protected me from the ice fragments.” explained Lara again.

  “Did you feel any pain when those ice fragments hit your wings which changed shape?” asked Lay curiously.

  “Oh, no! Don’t worry. I didn’t feel anything at all. It’s strange that when I flied I could feel these wings and move it to my own will. But when it changed earlier, I felt nothing when the ice fragments hit it. There were no impact of the attack..do you guys understand what I’m saying?” responded Lara, struggling to explain the thing she just experienced.

  “Yeah, I think I got it Lara.” exclaimed Kris suddenly. Then Kris walked towards Suho, Luhan, and Xiumin.

  “I think it’s time.” responded Kris while gesturing towards Suho, Luhan and Xiumin.

  Then Suho suddenly stepped forward and approached Lara, “Lara..there is something we would like to show you.” with serious expression. 

  Hearing him, all the boys were aware and gathered around.

  “Kai, take us to my room, please.” asked Suho.

  They arrived in Suho’s room, then Suho walked to a room where he put his research. Lara and the others followed him from behind.

  After observing his bookshelves and found the book he was looking for, he handed it to Lara. Lara took it and opened the book. It contained a collections of pictures and images with some explanation about some winged creatures.

  “This book contains informations about the Krusnik and some other descriptions about the Nanomachine and their abilities. I brought it from EXO Planet.” explained Suho.

  There were various images of the Krusnik and some descriptions around the images. But she couldn’t read the writing, she assumed that maybe it’s the language of EXO Planet.

  She could only decipher some words—‘Krusnik 01’—then on the next page she could see an image of a man with six white wings from behind his back. The man held a large lance which seemed connected with his wings.

  She opened the next page, ‘Krusnik 02’ and on the page next to it she could see a familar figure that attracted her eyes immediately.

  “This is my father, isn’t it?” asked Lara. The painting showed an image of a man with two black bat-like wings. Even though the depiction of the painting seemed creepy because the aura looked dark, moreover he held a large size scythe but she still recognized her father’s blond hair and some features of his faces.

  “Yes, that’s right Princess..” answered Suho briefly.

  Lara looked at the page for quite long, she brushed her fingers above her father’s painting. Unconsciously the corner of her eyes were filled with tears.

  Seeing that, Lay embraced her in attempt to soothe her, while D.O then wiped the tears that finally poured down in her cheeks.

  She tried to hold down her tears.

  “Sorry..” was the only word said from Lara’s lips.

  After a few minutes trying to calm down, she continue to open the next page.

  ‘Krusnik 03’

  “I assume she is my father’s sister. Am I right?” asked Lara.

  “Yes, you’re right.” answered Luhan.

  “Lady Seth Mary Clarence.” added Chanyeol telling Lara the name of her father’s sister.

  Seeing the depiction of her father’s sister images, made Lara’s mood turned better and more cheerful. Seth Mary Clearence had a dragonfly-like wings with the color combination of light blue, green and yellow on it. Even so, she looked just as powerful as the previous Krusniks with two weapons formed like tuning­-forks on both her hands.

  After Lara finished reading all the pages, Suho stepped forward and re-opened the book from page one and started explaining.

  “Do you still remember what Kate said to you that the power source of the Krusnik Nanomachine inside your body is the blood of Kudlak Bacillus? Kudlak Bacillus which came from the ancestors of the people on EXO Planet.” said Suho.

  “This is the book owned by Seth Mary Clarence on her mission of ‘The Red Mars Project’ at that time.” added Suho.

  “Krusnik 01. Subject: Caine Luke Clarence. He had six white wings. He also had psychokinetic power to pulverize objects and enemies and to generate barriers. He could materialize a black lance called the ‘Spear of Longinus’ or ‘Spear of Destiny’. When not in Krusnik form, he appeared to have the power to launch a desctructive and invisible force from his hands. He also seemed to possesss super strength and speed. Maybe that’s because he had fused 100% with his Nanomachine.” explained Suho.

  Suho then continue and turned the next page.

  “Krusnik 02. Subject: Charles Arthur Clarence. As you can see, King Charles had two large bat-like wings. He usually materialize a gigantic sycthe as his weapon. He could also generate massive amounts of bio-electric fields. He had also demonstrated the use of telekinesis power by controlling the Kudlak Bacillus’ blood.” Suho stopped for a moment before he continued.

  “Krusnik 03. Subject: Seth Mary Clarence. Lady Seth usually materialize a tuning-forks like weapons on both hands. With her power, she could almost instantly disintegrate her enemies into salt. Just like Caine, Lady Seth could manipulate the sound waves. One of her famous techniques was ‘The Flames of Sound.’

  “Each of their materialize weapons seemed to be connected to each one of them. I assume, the Nanomachine in their body allow them to form the weapons which came from their blood.” explained Suho again.

  “Is it possible that I have one of those powers?” asked Lara curiously.

  “Well, we are still not sure..” answered Xiumin.

  “That’s why we will train you.” exclaimed Kris firmly.

  “Well, so when do we get started?” responded Lara while smilling bitterly, still wasn’t sure and a little bit nervous of how would she train her power.

  They arrived in the courtyard and suddenly Kris approached Lara.

  “Lara, before we start the training I want to remind you about something.” he said with protective tone.

  “Caine fused with Krusnik Nanomachine 100%. The nanomachine effectively took over his mind and I guess that’s also where his brutal destruction coming from. I don’t want that happen to you. Promise me that you will not do it in whatever situation.” said Kris while holding both her shoulders and looked into her eyes to make sure that his words planted in her minds.

  “Yes, I understand. I will keep that in mind.” responded Lara while holding back his hands and looked back at him.

  “Good. Now, try to feel the nanomachine inside your body and try to control it to see what kind of power do you have. Just like when you did earlier when you shielded yourself from Xiumin’s attack.” said Kris in case Lara still confused of what she should do.

  “Okay.” responded Lara shortly.

  “But, I just can’t control it like that without a threat.” said Lara again after a few trial.

  “Hm, alright. What if we try from the basic things? Try to fly with your wings and follow me.” exclaimed Kris. Then Kris started flying in the air. Lara nodded.

  She then used her wings to fly in the air. When Kris and Lara had flied high enough in the air, Kris called one of the boys.

  “Sehun. Let’s get started.” said Kris.

  Sehun seemed hesitate but then he created a vortex of wind to help him float in the air. Kris and Lara could feel the wind blowing around them.

  “Lara, Sehun will start to make some wind vortexs. I want you to avoid it.” instructed Kris.

  “I understand.” responded Lara. Then Kris flied besides Sehun and nodded towards him.

  Next seconds, a wind vortex showed near Lara’s position. She could still avoid it easily.

  “That’s good. Let’s continue.” exclaimed Kris to Sehun and Lara.

  After that, Sehun made two wind vortex. The first vortex was on the right side, Lara avoided it and flied to the left. The second vortex was on the left side, she flied to the right side. She succeeded avoiding the vortex without getting into it.

  “Prepare for the next vortex.” alerted Kris. Lara nodded.

  This time, Sehun made three wind vortex surrounding Lara in the middle. Lara started to lose idea on how to avoid those wind vortexes because the gap between the vortexes were small. She then controlled her wings and flied away towards the cloud above her, exceeding the wind vortexes below her. She succeeded yet again avoiding those vortexes. Kris smiled satisfiedly.

  “Excellent.” he said shortly.

  “Lara, don’t lose focus and be prepared.” exclaimed Kris again, signalling that they weren’t finished yet.

  Before continuing the training, Sehun seemed hesitant yet again but Kris assured him.

  Then Sehun made a few medium-size wind vortexes around Lara. Lara tried to avoid it. But this time, the wind vortexes were different from the vortex earlier. When she thought that she had succeed avoiding the vortex, the vortex moved and made Lara had to avoid it again. Even after she succeed avoiding it, the vortexes kept moving and made Lara put on extra effort to avoid it over and over.

  The first 10 minutes, Lara succeed in avoiding the vortexes without getting in. But, because of its changing movement, Lara struggled to anticipate its movement. Moreover, the wind blowed quite hard and distracted her concentration.

  In no times, Lara started to get tired because she had to fly to different direction to avoid the moving vortex.

  Even so, she didn’t give up yet. She tried to find the gap and got out from the wind vortexes. She was trying to fly through the gap but then her position was too close to the vortex and made her swayed.

  Sehun was ready and prepared to stop the vortexes in case Lara got into the vortex but Kris preceded him and stopped Sehun from doing so. Lara got swayed near the vortex and in no times got into the vortex. She tried to get out and struggled. The vortex was quite strong that she was powerless to fly opposed the wind direction inside the vortex.

  Couldn’t stand with the vortex that kept dragging her, she tried one last time and directed her whole power to fly and get out from the vortex. She finally made it out but because of exhaustion, she stopped moving her wings and fell down afterwards.

  Sehun was surprised seeing the incident and looked at Kris besides him to ask for a permission to stop the wind vortex and to catch Lara who was falling down. But Kris was no longer besides him. He tried to look for Kris’ position and finally found that Kris had catched Lara who was falling down earlier. Sehun could see Kris telling something to Lara.

  “Lara, wake up! Use your Krusnik Nanomachine. I know you can do it!” said Kris.

  Lara then opened her eyes and looked at Kris. Kris smiled briefly and nodding his head, gesturing that he believed Lara could do it. Then Lara closed her eyes again for a moment. After that she flied up above in a super speed and continue to avoid the wind vortexes Sehun made.

  “Sehun, stay focused and move on.” exclaimed Kris. Sehun nodded slowly.

  Kris could see in Lara’s eyes that she started to be focused. She could anticipate the vortexes’ movement this time and finally succeded avoided the vortexes without getting in again by flying in super speed.
