“Soojin.” A low-pitched yet stern voice emerged from behind Choi Soojin-who, by the way, was still taunting Michelle Hwang to bask in the ambience of freedom before it is stripped away from her. By who you ask? Simple: Choi Soojin.

“Psh.” Scoffed an infuriated Soojin who did not bother turning around when her name was called. She already knew, by the tone of Jessica’s voice, that it was an order to stop. But Soojin could care less. “She wanted to scream and call the cops. I’m telling her to do it.”

“Stubborn a**.” Jessica insulted with a heavy sigh. “Then why don’t you just tell her what you want and get this show over with?”

“Listen carefully. Unless I get what I rightfully deserve, I’m not letting her go.” Came Soojin’s firm and stoic voice as she pulled on the handcuffs, bring Michelle closer to her. She meant business and everyone knew that. “Will you or will you not comply Ms. Hwang?”

“In your dreams.”

“My dreams?” Soojin let out a chuckle and then her eyes darkened. “Your dreams will soon be nightmares if you don’t comply.”

“If you’re part of my so-called ‘nightmares’, I wouldn’t mind.” Michelle winked at Soojin while the latter simply shook her head in pity. Tiffany facepalmed herself while the others began to whisper about just how similar Tiffany is to Michelle.

“You two are definitely sisters.”

“Shut up.” Tiffany nudged Jessica’s side, causing Jessica to let out a chuckle. Jessica proceeded to wrap her arms around Tiffany again.

“I speak nothing but the truth. Your sister is literally flirting with Choi Soojin, the last person in the world she should even be doing that with I must add. This is some serious sh*t right now. No time for mingling.” She defended in a light tone and pressed her face against Tiffany’s. “Right?”

“Hm.” Tiffany knew it was right but she wasn’t going to tell Jessica that. No way. “Aren’t you going to say something?”

“I did. But as you saw, Soojin is really going to arrest your sister unless she complies.” Jessica hopelessly retorted as she stared at the feud before her in disinterest. “I have an idea.”

“What?!” Everyone cried out when they heard Jessica’s statement. Jessica looked at them with a bright smile and a finger pointing upward.

“Let’s ditch them.”

“You’re evil.” Tiffany and Sooyoung took the liberty of smacking a laughing Jessica on her arms. Of course Jessica said it as a joke but really? At this critical time. Jessica couldn’t help it.

“I’ll deal with it.” Sooyoung calmly proclaimed as she walked over to Soojin with everyone’s eyes on her. Even the small audience that has gathered on the side. But she was suddenly pulled back by Yuri.

“What Yuri?”

“Are you sure you really want to get involved?” Yuri whispered, fearing for her friend’s life. “I mean, she is your sister. You know how scary she is.”

Sooyoung removed Yuri’s hand from her shoulder and made a peace sign with her fingers. “Exactly why I have to be the one to stop her. She’s my sister. She won’t hurt me.” Sooyoung confidently reasoned with a proud smile before continuing her way to Soojin.

“Soojin. Perhaps-”

“Sooyoung. Unless you want me to tell our mother about your little escapade to Busan when she deliberately forbid you, you walk away right now.” Came Soojin’s threatening voice as she turned to look at Sooyoung with an unreadable expression. But her eyes as a dark aura implied.

“Oh well, I tried. Enjoy your life in prison Michelle-unnie.” Sooyoung chirped with a high voice and a smile before skipping back to Jessica and the others. “Michelle-unnie is screwed.” Sooyoung added with a weary smile. Well, that was absolutely no comfort to Tiffany and the others.

“Pay up Sunny.” Jessica said and held out her hand to receive money from a dejected Sunny. Tiffany couldn’t believe it. When did those two make a bet?!

“I really thought Sooyoung could do it. I underestimated Soojin.”

But Jessica wasn’t listening to Sunny. “Tiffany, I’ll use this hard-earned money for our date. Aren’t you proud of me?”

“I’m not. You’re a horrible friend. I literally got threatened by my own sister.” Sooyoung sadly interjected with a frown.

“Yeah yeah. So Tiffany, aren’t you proud of me?”

“Jessica. You should be nicer to your friends.”

“Huh? But I am.”

“You just ignored Sooyoung.”

“So? She’ll get over it. It’s not the first time that this has happened to her.”

“Jessica.”

“…”

“Jessica.”

Sensing Tiffany will lecture her and be in a bad mood, Jessica decided to not oppose her wishes. Geez…normally, Jessica wouldn’t care. But now that she was dating Tiffany…

“Take this and go buy what you want.” Jessica put the $50 that she won from the bet with Sunny onto Sooyoung’s hand.

“Anything I want?” Sooyoung’s eyes widened at the sight of the money and from Jessica’s words. “Anything?” Sooyoung looked at Jessica with eyes wide and a grin.

Jessica laughed at her friend’s exaggeration of emotions and pinched her cheeks. “Yes. Now go. I’ll handle your sister.”

“Do what you want with Soojin. You have my support!” Sooyoung proclaimed before looking at the others with a grin. “Anyone want ice-cream?”

“CALL!” cried the rest, except for Jessica and Tiffany. There was no point of them staying anyways. They wouldn’t, well more like Sunny and Yuri, didn’t want to get in a fight with Soojin. Jessica can handle Soojin. Hopefully…

Once the others were happily walking away and in their own ‘ice-cream fantasy’ world, Jessica sighed and shook her head. While the small crowd was confused as to why some people were leaving and only four were left at the scene of interest.

“Jessica. What are you going to do?”

Jessica smiled at Tiffany and gently pinched her cheeks. “You mean, what are ‘we’ going to do.”

“Huh?”

Before she knew it, Jessica was already walking toward Soojin and Michelle with Tiffany. Tiffany wasn’t sure what Jessica’s plan was but she’ll just have to find out. Besides, she trusts Jessica.

“Stop trying to touch me.” Came Soojin’s annoyed voice. “Do you really want to have more charges filed against you?”

“Wae? Didn’t you want to arrest me?” Came Michelle’s rather soft and husky reply. Oh god…is this how Tiffany really sounded like?

“Perhaps you should uncuff her and talk to her in a civil, professional manner.” Jessica advised, staring at Soojin’s side façade stoically. Tiffany was quite surprised at Jessica’s sudden change of attitude. She was all cheery and evil earlier. Wow….and now, it’s back to nonchalant and serious Jessica. “You know, away from the crowd.” Jessica continued, tilting her head to the side to show the small audience that has gather, considering it was still morning and not much people yet.

“All fun aside now,” Michelle began and turned her attention to her pretty, manicured finger nails, “I’m going to sue you for what you are doing to me right now.”

Tiffany gasped and jogged over to her sister. “Are you crazy?! You can’t sue a cop!” She hissed just so Michelle can hear.

“And why the hell not? Just because she’s a cop doesn’t mean she can humiliate me in public.” Michelle raised her voice and glared at an emotionless Soojin.

“I dare you.”

“What?” Michelle’s eyes twitched at Soojin’s statement. “You dare me?”

“Yeah.” Soojin answered with a shrug and then turned to look at Jessica. “Say Jessica, hypothetically, who will win the case? Me or the lip r*pist? I’m pretty sure I will since I have evidence ranging from destruction of private property to harassment of a cop.”

“Soojin. Shut up.” Came Jessica’s reply. “It was all in the past.”

“You humiliated me!” Michelle defended, furious.

“Because someone couldn’t just tell me that she was sincerely apologetic for dragging me into her affairs and thank me for helping her.”

“What?”

“And that because of the little stunt she pulled, a very, very dangerous criminal almost escaped when my cover was blown.”

“Oh my god.” Was all Tiffany could utter as she looked at Jessica in embarrassment. “I apologize on behalf of my sister Soojin-unnie.”

“Don’t.” Soojin ordered before Tiffany could bow or do anything to express her apology on behalf of her sister and herself.

“Don’t worry. The criminal was caught.” Jessica assured her girlfriend.

“How was I suppose to know that you were a cop?”

“You don’t.” Soojin stepped up and took out the handcuff keys from her pocket and inserted it into the hole to unlock the cuffs. “That’s the whole point of being an undercover cop.”

“Why are you letting me go?”

“Because today is the day I meet my best friend’s girlfriend. And I respect Jessica and Tiffany enough to stop being selfish. So in consideration for Tiffany, I’ll let you go and save your reputation.”

“Aw…how sweet and thoughtful.” Tiffany cooed and leaned her head against Jessica’s shoulder. Jessica only rolled her eyes. “Why can’t you be like that?”

“Because I’m Jessica Jung. I’m the real deal.”

Tiffany laughed and linked her arms with Jessica. “That’s true Ms. Grumpy Pants.” And Tiffany wouldn’t want it any other way. Jessica has her own romantic moments.

“Yah.”

“Just kidding. Don’t be mad.” Tiffany pecked Jessica’s cheek to pacify her. It worked but of course, Jessica just kept her poker face on but Tiffany saw the blush. The blush never lies…

Michelle was shocked. Wasn’t Soojin super pissed at her?

“The past is the past. But the next time, be careful of your actions. Respect others and apologize if you know you’re wrong.”

“But-”

“A rushed, half-intoxicated apology does not count Ms. Hwang.  And I helped you because I wanted to, not because I expected you to reward me. Think about it. I could have just left you behind yesterday.” Soojin then took out a rectangular piece of paper from inside her jacket and reached for Michelle’s hand. “Put this money to better use CEO Hwang of Byul Enteprise.”

Michelle’s eyes widened and she was beyond shock. She was..was…just speechless. 15 minutes ago she thought she was going to jail and now, she was being lectured. Oh gosh…

“Well, not that we have settled things-” Soojin took a breath and then…

“THANK YOU MISS FOR VOLUNTEERING AND PARTICIPATING IN OUR STUDY!!!!”

“Huh?” Everyone asked aloud, except Jessica (Jessica was just bored now and dragged Tiffany to sit down on the floor with her)

What was going on? Now everyone was confused upon Soojin’s sudden outburst. Especially when Soojin held up the cuffs in one hand and dangled it around.

“A study?” Michelle repeated.

“Yes. A study.” Soojin verified and turned back to the crowd. “Thank you everyone for being so polite and supportive of my study. I am a college student working on a research in regards to the effectiveness of handcuffs. I am planning to sue these results in informing the police and hopefully, improve South Korea’s safety.”

“This wasn’t for real?!” A guy shouted from the audience, causing Soojing to crack up.

“Jessica. Care to answer that question?”

“All of this is a study that has been given to willing participants. Me and my buddies earlier were all part of the study. Please do not misunderstand this as a real situation. Or else, you’ll just be embarrassing yourself for making such declarations to the media.” Jessica bluntly explained and sat back down to enjoy the comforts of napping on Tiffany’s shoulder. Did she miss anything? Nope.

“You worked hard Jessi. I’m so proud of you.”

“Kiss me then.” Jessica pointed to her lips, which Tiffany gladly complied and pecked her lips.

Back to Soojin…

“In that case, can I participate too?” A woman from the audience excitedly raised her hand. Poor girl. She should be happy with the life she has.

Soojin politely declined. “Unfortunately, I’ve reached my limit of test pool. Thank you for your interest. My study could not have been possible, in sense of realism, without your unknowing support and my volunteers.”

“I would say your study was highly effective. That young lady looked absolutely terrified and angry.” An elderly woman pointed out from the audience.

Michelle forced a smile and waved her hands in front of her. “Oh no! But it was definitely scary.”

“I bet.” Soojin snickered, ignoring the look of disbelief from Michelle. “Well, that’s all. Thank you everyone. Have a nice day!”

“Impressive Choi.” Jessica complimented when she was woken up by Tiffany. “For awhile there, I thought you have gone completely crazy.”

“Hmph. Shut up and formally introduce me to your girlfriend.” Soojin remarked with a smirk as she eyed Tiffany.

“Choi Soojin, meet my beautiful, rich, and conceited girlfriend Tiffany Hwang. Did I mention she was rich?” Tiffany was just about to hit Jessica for saying that she was ‘rich’ but was blocked by Jessica’s quick reflex. After receiving an apology from Jessica, Tiffany held out her hand but couldn’t help but hold back chuckle when Soojin immediately bowed instead.

“Geez. Why so formal?” Michelle whispered to herself when she witnessed Soojin’s actions. “So old-fashioned.”

“Nice to finally meet you Tiffany. I hope that you will take care of Jessica. She can be a bit dumb and mean, but nothing you can’t handle. Right?”

Tiffany was surprise at first of Soojin’s advise but ended up laughing at the insult. She knew it was more of a joke than a serious statement. But Jessica didn’t like it at all.

“Hey! You’re suppose to say nice things. Don’t scare Tiffany.”

“I spoke of the truth.”

“Truth from an a**wipe. Unbelievable.”

“What did you say sh*t-head?!”

And there they go again…Jessica and Soojin’s foreheads were once again, against each other as each other continued their fight.

“You think I’m going to go easy on you because by miracle, you got a girlfriend Blondie?!”

“At least I have a girlfriend Squint eyes!!”

“You wanna die Slant eyes?!!!”

“Bring it on!!”

“You have nothing on me!!”

The heat was once again, increasing between Sooojin and Jessica. Michelle and Tiffany looked at each other, not sure how to stop them.

“Didn’t crazy cop say that Jessica was her best-friend?” Michelle pointed at Soojin then back at Jessica. Perhaps she heard the wrong thing earlier?

“Uh-huh.”

“Doesn’t seem like it.” Michelle commented as the duo continued to look at the bickering Soojin and Jessica.

“Unnie.” Tiffany whispered to her sister.

“Wae?” Michelle whispered back, still looking at Jessica and Soojin.

“Aren’t you going to apologize to Soojin-unnie and thank her?”

Michelle looked at Tiffany like she was high on drugs. “What?! Why should I?”

“Well, all that Soojin wanted from you from the beginning was a sincere apology. And you should thank her after saving us from humiliation.”

“I never asked her to do it.”

“True. That’s because she’s kind and considerate. And you like her don’t you?”

“What? I do not!”

“Then why were you flirting with her?”

“It’s a habit.”

“Right.” Tiffany sarcastically retorted with a smirk. “I’m going to go get my girlfriend now while you continue to be in denial.”

“I’m not done talking to you!”

“Blah blah. I hear nothing.”

---------------------------------------------------------

“How old is Soojin-unnie?” Tiffany asked as she and Jessica walked hand in hand around the mall, looking for a place to begin shopping.

“She’s 26.” Jessica answered and looked at Tiffany. “Why do you ask?”

“Just curious. A year older? She’s the same age as Michelle!”

“Really?” Michelle looked at Soojin with scrutiny. “When were you born?”

“I’m older if that’s what you’re trying to figure out.”

“Show me the proof.”

“Psh. I don’t have to show you anything.” Soojin politely answered before walking away to be with Sunny and the rest. Leaving Michelle behind with CL and the others while Jessica and Tiffany were in front.

“So then, Krystal is the youngest? By how many years?”

“Krystal is younger by 4 years. But we’re all really close.” Jessica said with a smile. “We all look out for each other.”

“I can see that. Soojin-unnie seems like a really nice person despite the rivalry.”

“She’s not?”

“You’ll have to figure that out on your own. I can’t tell you that she is. It’ll spoil the fun for your sister.” Jessica said with a playful tone as she tilted her chin toward Michelle, who kept demanding Soojin to show proof that she was older.  But Soojin just kept ignoring her and kept her attention to the front.

Tiffany laughed at her sister’s actions and shook her head. “She’s not as bad as it looks.”

“Tell that to Soojin.”

----------------------------------------

“Should we go watch a movie?” Yoona suggested, seeing that that everyone else was pretty tired from walking around the mall and shopping. Even Soojin and Jessica, although all they did was sit on the benches and wait for the others.

“I don’t care where we go. As long as I get to sit down and sleep.” Said Jessica.

“I agree.”

“But Soojin, you can’t be a party pooper like Jessica.” Sooyoung reasoned, hoping to change her sister’s mind. “You’re not lazy like her.”

“Excuse me?!” Jessica eyes shot open and she marched over to Sooyoung who had quickly ran to hide behind Hyosung and Hyorin. “Say that again! I dare you.”

“Nothing. Nothing.” Sooyoung nervously retorted. “You’re awesome Jessica.” She hoped to redeem herself with flattery.

“That’s what I thought.” Jessica snarled and returned to her original position: sleeping against Tiffany’s shoulder.

“Well, I’m famished. Why don’t we go have lunch?” Soojin suggested, with her hands in her jean pockets as she stared at everyone with an unreadable expression. “Who’s in?”

“Hm..I am hungry.”

“Okay. Lip r*pist agrees. Anyone else?”

“Stop calling me that!!!”

“Anyone else?” Soojin ignored Michelle, annoying the latter. Oh god..Michelle’s dislike for Soojin is transforming into hate. Hate!!!!

“CALL!!!” Everyone cried in glee.

“I will never skip meals!!” Sooyoung declared out of nowhere, earning a weird look from the others. But that is what to expect from Sooyoung. Just how she is able to digest all that food is a mystery.

“Whatever.” Came Jessica’s slurred reply as Tiffany fiddled around with Jessica’s fingers. Normally, Jessica would hate it when someone bothers her as she tries to get her daily nap but Tiffany is an exception.

------------------------------------------

“Well, isn’t this great?!!!” Tiffany yelled in happiness as she turns around to look at Soojin, Jessica and Michelle. “We have more time to bond.”

That’s right. Only the four of them were left after lunch. Hyosung and Hyorin had to leave to take care of some family errands. Sunny had to return to work because of an emergency. Hyomin wasn’t feeling well so she went back home with Sunny. The YoonYul couple wanted to have their own private time together and the same goes with CL and Minzy. And Sooyoung? Well, apparently her father needed her help with the review of a project proposal.

It was now evening and the four people were walking just taking a stroll randomly down the streets of Seoul.

“Are we going to do something or just walk around?”

“Why? I think this is fun and relaxing.” Tiffany retorted and looked at her sister. “Are you bored?”

“Yes.”

“If you are, you go home first.”

“But it’s boring at home. Today’s my day off!”

“Then stop complaining.”

“Ugh! Brat.”

“Slave.”

“Peasant.”

“Witch.”

“Medusa.”

“Hey girls.” Jessica called out for the sisters’ attention.

“I’m older than you Tiffany! Respect your elders!!!”

“Psh! You have the mind of a child!”

“Omo! You *****!!!”

“You’re the ******!!!!”

“Tiffany.” Ignored….

“Lip r*pist.” Doesn’t give an eff…..

Actually, the two sisters were so engrossed in their argument that they failed to notice that they have walked into an alley and worse, was soon surrounded by some strangers.

“Well, well, well…what do we have here?”

“Huh?” Tiffany and Michelle turned to look at who the voice belonged to, only to see a group of women. And one in particular, presumably the one who spoke, looked very, very familiar.

“Remember me b*tch?” The leader of the gang spoke in an intimidating tone, her eyes directly gazing at Michelle.

“Michelle. You know her?” Tiffany asked.

“Nope. Who are you? And who are you calling b*tch, b*tch?”

With one snap of her fingers, Soojin, Jessica, Tiffany and Michelle were surrounded. “I’m the one from yesterday. Don’t you remember me? You humiliated me at the club.”

“Oh...” Michelle smirked. “I won fair and square. You couldn’t handle defeat so it’s not my fault.”

“She’s the one that you fought with?” Tiffany observed the rest of the scary women. There was about 6 of them altogether. “How did you manage to win?!”

“Your friends are not here to help you. See how you will escape this time.”

“You see, this could have been avoided if you a
