Author's POV

Han Aerin was still comfortably lying on her bed while the digital clock on her desk showed that it was 8 o clock in the morning. It was saturday, which means no school for the day. She got a text from L just now, who informed her that he was going to meet Woohyun and tell him the truth. She offered to come with him but he said they would meet him together next time. Aerin respected his decision because she knew it would be a boy talk so she just left them be and enjoyed her morning on the bed. But when she was slacking comfortably while playing with her phone, she heard her mom called her

"Aerin-ah! Quickly take a bath, the Jung family is coming over soon," her mother shouted. Aerin was startled that she was about to fall down her bed just know. It's not just she had to take a bath, but it would be totally awkward for her to meet the Jung brothers. 'Damn, I am not prepared,' she thought. So in the end she decided to just face the reality and went to the bathroom for a bath.

The Jung family who recently moved back to Seoul was the Han's neighbor for years so of course they are very close with each other. Mr and Mrs Han and Jung happily greeted each other while the children stood awkwardly next to them. Aerin and Jongkook stood next to each other while whispering to each other

"Look, your ex crush," teased Jongkook which made Aerin had to elbow him on his ribs

"Shut up oppa," she whispered back while giving him a slight glare. Their fight had to stop because they needed to greet Mr and Mrs Jung

"Nice to meet you, Mr and Mrs Jung," Aerin greeted them politely and bowed

"Don't be too formal with us, Aerin-ah, it felt so weird," said Mr Jung while laughing a little with his wife and Aerin's parents

"Oh my, you grew up very well, Aerin-ah, you are even more beautiful now," Mrs Jung smiled and praised her

"Thank you," Aerin smiled and bowed again. Jongkook also greeted them and then the two families went to the dining room to have breakfast together. Aerin glanced at the Jung brothers to see their expressions but her eyes accidentally met with Hoseok's and as expected, it was awkward. The awkwardness had to stay for a while since they were seated in front of each other on the dining table. 'Oh come on,' Aerin thought when she saw her seat. She sat in front of Hoseok with Jongkook next to her. In front of him, Jinyoung sat there. Then they began their breakfast with some chatter between their parents. Even after the meal was finished, the parents were still busy chatting.

"Our children grew up so well, right Mrs Han?" asked Mrs Jung while smiling

"Yes, your sons grew so well. They were handsome before but even more handsome today, they must have inherit it from their parents," replied Mrs Han. The conversations were quite normal at first but it became weirder as time passed by. Suddenly, Aerin choked on her drink when she heard Mrs Jung's shocking sentence

"It would be nice if we could be a real family," Jongkook quickly helped her by patting her back. She attracted the attentions of the parents and the Jung brothers

"Aerin-ah, you okay?" asked her mother. Aerin coughed once and nodded slightly
