Myungsoo sharpened his knives against the stone at the river's edge. He was a lone wolf and unrealized by himself, a devastatingly good looking young man. All his other weapons were arranged neatly on the grass beside him. A long sword and two medium daggers were his expertise besides the throwing knives he was currently sharpening. The son of a farmer, he practised his weapons with dreams of joining the famed West Army under General Sunggyu. The requirements for joining were very high so he focused on improving his skills. However Myungsoo had other reasons to join the army. In times of peace, the West Army was well known for traveling to many countries to participate in joint military exercises. More than the army, Myungsoo wanted to see the world. He could have joined the Navy but the stories of General Sunggyu's exploits had influenced him so the army it was.

But now, his dreams remained dreams thanks to the Sunset Empire. They had imposed high taxes on the farms and demanded farm produce as tribute. Myungsoo's father could no longer maintain their small farm and feed his sons. In the end, he sold his farm to his neighbours and moved the family to the grandparent's home. Myungsoo was enraged. He joined a small band of farmers and their sons to carry out night raids on the enemy soldier camps around the farming villages. They lost badly and Myungsoo was forced to escape to the mountains after their last attack. He only had on clothes all in black and his weapons. He had no idea on what he should do next. Myungsoo spoke out loud to himself. "Go back to father? But the enemy has an arrest warrant for me. Ah, mother what should I do?" Myungsoo sighed and wiped his face.

"You look like a lost kitten if ever I saw one. But nice claws you have there, very clear and bright."

Myungsoo turned around with a jump. Three men casually stood five feet away from him. The shortest was smiling happily, the other two with stern expressions. One of the stern men held a very big nasty looking machine gun. This is the end. Damn it all, thought Myungsoo.

"How about joining us? We're going to kick the Sunset Empire out." said the man with the machine gun.

Is he crazy? Who the heck is he?, thought Myungsoo.

"By the way, you may have heard of me. I'm General Sunggyu."
