“Namjoon you must be kidding me!” Jin grumbled as he went down the stairs, his hands trying to fix his nest-like bed hair. At the living room, the other BTS members had already gathered on Namjoon’s sudden order and that made their mouths couldn’t stop complaining.

“For God’s sake hyung it’s freaking 6AM I—“ V couldn’t finish his sentence properly and ended up just yawning so widely. J-Hope by his side shook his head and covered the younger’s mouth with his hands. V’s sleepy eyes turned to an excited one as he gently pressed a kiss on the older’s palm.

“What even—yah!” J-Hope knocked V’s head with his knuckles gently and the latter just grinned innocently as he realized the slight red tainting his hyung’s fluffy cheeks.

“Guys listen to me. This is something really important, trust me.” Namjoon explained as his hands busily tore open a green colored envelope in which the others expected to be another mission.

“Seriously hyung? A mission at times like this?” Jimin pouted as he snuggled closer towards Suga by his side. He had his head leaning on the older while Suga had his Apple laptop on his lap, yawning continuously.

“I haven’t even got to sleep yet Namjoon what’s the rush?”

“Oh come on guys don’t go all grumbly like this with me. I was summoned by the staffs earlier too okay they wanted me to gather you guys.” It was Namjoon’s turn to complain and the others just stayed silent at that.

“Okay then straight to the point Namjoon. What’s the mission for this week?” Jin ended up saying and his tone came out slightly harsh in Namjoon‘s ears and truthfully he was taken aback by it. Jin never really talked to him that way unless he gets really annoyed or mad about something but somehow, Namjoon just let it slide.

“So guys, we’re heading to Jeju Island tomorrow.”

“What the—“ J-Hope’s eyes were wide open immediately at the mention of Jeju.

“Woah seriously—“ Suga just went speechless at that unexpected mission.

“OH MY GOD DID I JUST HEAR JEJUUUU??”

“JIMINNIE WE’RE HEADING TO JEJU YEAH!!”

V and Jimin immediately got overexcited and they bounced on the sofa like little kids. Suga and J-Hope clicked their tongues at the sight of the overly exaggerated excitement but come to think of it again, the two were always like that.

While everyone were getting excited on what they will do once they arrived at Jeju Island, they forgot of the already sleeping maknae at the single sofa. Jungkook’s head were tilted to his side and from the way Jin saw it, he’s definitely hurt his neck if he continue to sleep that way.

Realizing that no one were watching and they were still in their over excited mode, Jin slowly crept towards the younger, not even noticing how Namjoon were staring like a hawk. He just watched in jealousy as Jin leaned towards Jungkook slightly and fixed his head so that it leaned towards his side.

Knowing how the maknae won’t easily wake up just by slight touches, Jin ruffled his hair affectionately with his adoring eyes set on Jungkook’s adorable sleeping face. He just smiled as Jungkook scooted closer, probably seeking for warmth that Jin’s body gave him.

Namjoon blew on his bangs in annoyance at that sight. Seriously, since when Jin got that affectionate with Jungkook? He even started doing things he don’t usually do—gosh did he finally fell in love with the maknae or something?

"Jeon Jungkook."

 Jin let out a soft sigh as he unconsciously blurted out that name. He was actually late 15 minutes to meet the latter at the TV room as usual ever since last week. 

It has been a week ever since Jin promised that he will help the maknae to erase the feelings he had for him. At first, Jin was very hesitant— heck, he really don't want to do it but that kid have this mysterious aura surrounding him every time he talked. Even Jin find himself not able to fight him.

His footsteps got heavier as he almost reached their meeting place. As he hesitated in front if the door whether to enter or not, the door was wide open first. It was Jungkook, and he was staring at the older with his eyebrows raised.

"I was just about to go to your room. What are you doing outside?"

"I'm hesitating." Jin's answer was an unexpected one but Jungkook just shrugged it off. Jin entered the room first followed by Jungkook behind him who closed the door after that.

"So, are you ready for the usual questions?" 

"Why bother asking? You never asked if I want to do this in the first place anyway.”

Jungkook exhaled harshly as he realized how Jin just spat out his harsh words again, as usual. He messed up his own hair and took a deep breath as he tried to ignore the older's words and proceeded to what he have to do quickly.

"Keep your rage in hyung it's our last day anyway." He said calmly and smiled a bit as he properly looked into Jin's eyes. 

"What do you mean last day?"

"We're heading to Jeju Island for the mission remember? I figured we dont have to do this anymore since the show is gonna end and we won't have any reason to pretend to be so close so yeah—nsomehow I'll take care of my feelings."

"As usual, Jeon Jungkook. Always so selfish." 

"You can say anything you like today. I won't even bother taking your words to heart." Jungkook said with his ignorant tone and that made Jin silently clenched his fists by his side.

"Why do you live like that huh? You loved someone so selfishly and now without any consideration of the other side you're just throwing that feelings away— just because you feel burdened by it?" 

"I did this considering of how the other side gets burdened by my feelings I—how could you think so low of me?"  

"That's funny because the real question is 'how can I not think so low of you?’”

"The heck—what are you trying to say huh? What is it that's so low of me—“

"What happened to 'cut me with your words yet I'll still be here' or something like that? Or did you forgot about it already?" 

Jin's words were like a hard slap across Jungkook's cheeks because the latter was literally frozen right at his spot there. His mind replayed the scene that night, where he woke up in the middle of the night and he whispered those words confidently towards the sleeping Jin— 

"Wait you were supposed to be asleep at that time!"

"And you were supposed to keep your promise."

Jungkook snorted involuntarily and Jin just crossed his arms against his chest. He stared at the maknae as he waited for his answer but Jungkook just ignored him and tried to proceed to what he had to do.

"Just answer everything with a 'yes' just like how you did these few days and it'll end in less than 5 minutes."

"Be a man and answer my question Jeon Jungkook. Why do you tell me all those sweet promises when you can't even keep it?" Jin were so determined to know the answer that night. He decided that he just had to do what he have to—he just have to settle his feelings quickly.

"You're driving me crazy! Why the hell do you even care about those promises when you don't even have feelings for me? You know what this is pointless. Let's just end this here—“ 

"You're not going anywhere before you hear me out." Jin took a hold of Jungkook's wrist and Jungkook just sighed before he looked into the older in the eyes and nodded. 

"Fine. Let's settle this once and for all and then go on our own way. Speak up and I'll listen."

"I—about you I— I've been thinking for a while and I—“ Jin's sentence suddenly stopped mid-air as he felt himself getting so nervous. Jungkook even felt how his hands trembled and he was confused himself. What could he possibly have to say?

"I love you."

Jin decided to just cut to the point and he ended up saying that. Jungkook widened his eyes and he blinked a few times in confusion the older felt like burying himself in a pile of sands.

"Wow I—what did I just hear I—“ 

"You heard it right. I love you."

Jin said that confidently as he decided to have courage and tell everything he felt towards Jungkook. He couldn't stand the pain as he thought that Jungkook might just end up forgetting about him and— gosh just thinking that Jungkook would never look at him with his sparkling adoring eyes anymore already made Jin scared. Could he take it once Jungkook starts treating him like a stranger?

Jungkook stood still like a statue there as he registered what he just heard in his mind. Jin was smiling at him at that time while he was in thoughts and before he could stop himself-- he just laughed.

"What the—“

 "That one is funny hyung. Nice trick huh?"

 "I—“

 "Don't tell me you are serious come on—“

 "Jeon Jungkook I'm hella serious."

 Hearing Jin's serious tone, Jungkook snorted and then inched his face closer to the older. Jin blinked a few times as he leaned back but then he heard Jungkook's whisper.

 "Did Namjoon hyung rejected you?"

 "No he didn't—“

 "So did you just got friend-zoned or hyung-zoned or whatsoever-zoned?"

 "The heck—no of course why are you asking me this?"

"Then why are you telling me this nonsense?" Jungkook finally straightened his back, leaving some distance between the two of them. Jin finally let out the breath that he had been holding in before he continued.

 "I'm confessing—“

"Please don't make me laugh."

 "Then don't laugh."

 "Wow seriously—how can a person be this ignorant I—“

 "I understand what you mean. I was wrong I'm sorry." Jin quickly cut in Jungkook's words before he could finish it since he knew what the maknae will babble about.

 "You do know that this thing won't settle just with a simple sorry right?"

 "Of course not. I didn't expect you to just forgive me and accept my confession anyway."

 "You know it better I guess I don't have to tell you stuffs anymore. I'll just go and sleep now good night." Jungkook shot the older a glare before he walked past him towards the door but Jin's next words made him froze for a while at hi
