[High School]

Having dropped Taehyung safely to his home after their date, Jongdae took a stroll around town, taking in the night view, the changes that had occurred in the course of the years that had passed so quickly. There was a faint smile on his lips as he looked around at his surroundings. They were growing up. It was something they had wished for when they were little. And now that they were getting old, they got to know that the grown-ups’ world was not easy at all.

Jongdae wished sometimes if he could go back to being a kindergarten boy. He wished he could go back to that time when he and Minseok were young, when they had not known about love yet, when they had been able to look at each other in an innocent way.

Whilst drowning in his thoughts, he became oblivious to his surroundings and his feet led him to their school’s soccer field, as though an invisible force was pulling his feet there, taking control of him.

Upon walking into the huge field, he came across another human being, who was about to exit the field in a hurry.

When Jongdae caught sight of Minseok, he came back to his senses; Minseok stopped in his tracks, a feet away from Jongdae.

Jongdae did not know for how long they stared at each other. He gazed intently at the boy he once knew so well, and the latter gazed back with the same intensity. He was able to see Minseok’s face clearly by the lights in the field. The boy’s lips twitched into a small smile as he hesitantly gave Jongdae a slight wave of hand in greeting.
