[Primary School]

On the rooftop of the school building, sat on the cold floor were two fifth grade kids. One of them was sobbing, while the other was trying his best to comfort his sad friend.

Minseok had made a decision: He would never let Luhan stay with him when he cried next time. Yes, he was grateful for the presence, for the company, and for the motherly pats he received on his back from the Chinese boy. But, he wished Luhan would just shut his mouth.

From the day he was born, Minseok has shed a lot of tears. May it be because of something sad, may it be because he’s angry, may it be something that caused him happiness, may it be seeing someone hurt, his heart would ache and he would feel the need to let the tears flow down his cheeks. And when he begins to cry, he has the ability to cry for hours. And, thanks to a certain boy with deer-like features, his crying hours have extended.

“When Jongdae finds out, he’s going to be mad at you.” Luhan said softly, as he rubbed circles on his depressed friend’s back, who in turn wailed louder.

“Then, he’s going to say that he’ll not be your friend anymore.”

Minseok sobbed harder.

“Then, you’ll never get a chance to speak to him again.” Luhan nodded empathetically.

Minseok gasped and wept even worse.

“Then, he’ll never look at you again.” 

Minseok gave a long moan of despair.
