Jongdae held a bouquet of red roses in his arms. He played with the flower petals, blinking at them curiously. He his lips occasionally out of nervousness. Never once had he felt like this before. He was so tense.

He has always felt comfortable around Minseok. The boy with round cheeks is like a part of him. They are inseparable. They can be themselves when they are together. They know each other better than they know themselves. They are the best and strongest when they are together.

But he wonders why… why, suddenly, today he feels so panicky? All he has to do is give Minseok the flowers, wish him a merry birthday. It’s not his first time giving his best friend a gift.

As he stood in front of Minseok’s house, having arrived earlier than their friends, he asked the flowers that lay in his arms, “You're so beautiful. Minnie will surely love you, right? Rose, you beautified yourself before I brought you here, didn't you? Minnie will love you all, yeah? Tell me ye --”

Jongdae could not complete his sentence, as the main door of Minseok’s house got opened by none other than Minseok himself.

“Dae, why didn’t you ring the bell?” Minseok asked, while opening the door wider to let his friend in.
