Minseok heaved a sigh as he listened to their teacher speak about some man who created some formula.

It was the beginning of their junior high school year, and Minseok was already feeling tired. His mind was occupied with many things. Many questions popped up making him feel a bit insecure about his future. Would he be able to study well? Would he be able to ace every test that came in his way? Would he be able to make his parents proud of him?  

And, would he be able to bear to see his best friend fall for his cousin?

Since Jongdae and Taehyung had started dating, he had distanced himself from them so that they could have a lot of time for themselves, and so that he would not be a burden.

Jongdae was not his seatmate anymore. Now that he gazed at the empty chair beside him, he missed his best friend, who once used to stick to him for almost an entire day, and babble into his ears about anything and everything.

He missed that friend who used to make him smile and laugh, that friend who used to take care of him and protect him from the tiniest of bugs to dangerous humans; that friend who used to hear him cry for hours, offer his shoulder to cry on and stay by his side till the end of his weeping session without judging him; that friend who used to carry him in his arms when he would get exhausted while walking, or drained out all his energy playing soccer; that friend who knew how to cheer him up after upsetting him.

That troll for a best friend of his who used to be inseparable.
