CHAPTER 12
 
Kyuhyun sits comfortably at the back, his hand resting on his left hand, staring, not on the board, or the teacher, but at the girl sitting in front of him.
 
What did this girl have that had an effect on him? And instead of playing his game console, there he was just staring at her. As if he didn’t get to stare enough.
 
It was just a few days and his feelings are just… mixed? He doesn’t know, a part of him was saying that he likes her, but a part of him was shouting, no.
 
‘I like her…’ he thought about it. And the answers were surfacing easily in his head. Who wouldn’t? She was beautiful, tall, and has a smile that just makes your day. She was funny and he can tell that she loves and cares for her friends very much. She was different from other girls, she was just, her, to simply put it. He smiled.
 
He wasn’t really this cheesy.
 
It was easy to like her, anyone probably would. Yeah, everyone, including his brother, Donghae, he thought.
 
Now he knows a part of him that’s shouting ‘no’. If his brother likes Sooyoung too, then it would be a problem, he didn’t want to risk their relationship as brothers, he values it very much.
 
Unless he decides to stop what he feels for Sooyoung. And it was the very thought that he much preferred not to think about.

The boring lecture finally ended and he bell finally rang, the students stood up immediately to stretch and arrange their things.
 
Sooyoung stretches her arms, and looks at Tiffany, who was arranging her things, quite rapidly, she was obviously hurrying to leave, which confuse Sooyoung.
 
“Fany-ah, why are you such in a rush?” she asks.
 
“I… well, I have to do… something…” Tiffany said as she finished arranging her things. “I have to go soo, you can go on without me. Bye!” she said quickly, and hurriedly went out of the room.
 
Sooyoung was surprised, she seemed desperate and worried. But she was more worried because Tiffany’s going somewhere and she again is stuck with Kyuhyun.
 
‘Oh no, no, no…’ she thought.
 
But yes, Sooyoung was again stuck with him. she looks at him, who was boringly looking at the door, and she couldn’t help but blush as she remembered the dream she had earlier. She tried her best to get it out of her head.
 
She was thinking deeply that she didn’t notice Kyuhyun stood up and was looking at her weirdly.
 
“Why are you blushing?” he asks.
 
Sooyoung looks at him, his face just a bit higher than hers, he was taller than her, and it was actually the first time she saw him with this kind of expression, it was cute.
 
“I knew it.” Kyuhyun smirked, “You like me huh?” he asks, his face inching close to hers.
 
“What!? I don’t--!” she immediately protested, and backed away.
 
Kyuhyun laughs and poked her cheek. “I was joking. Tsk~” he smirked again and started to walk.
 
Sooyoung blushed again, she pouted and glared at him. ‘Okay, I take back the cute part!’ she told herself.
 
“Ya… are you just going to stand there? Let’s go.” Kyuhyun said as he stopped by the door.
 
Sooyoung drew a deep breath and followed him, and again together they left the room.

Both were silent as they walked by the sidewalk. They reached an intersection, and Kyuhyun noticed Sooyoung going the other way, instead to where the coffee shop was.
 
“Ya… where do you think you’re going?” he asks, as he grabbed her hand, which he really didn’t plan to do. He immediately lets go.
 
“I’m going home. I don’t have work on Fridays.” She said simply. Sooyoung was glad that she remembered she didn’t have work on Fridays. “So I guess, this is good--”
 
“Oh no, you’re not going home yet prok bun girl.” Kyuhyun said.
 
Soooyung glared at him, she hated it when he calls her like that, and one of the reasons that she doesn’t like to be stuck with him. “And why is that?”
 
“You have to take me to the coffee shop first. Then maybe you can go home.” He said, “I don’t know the way there.” He reasoned, but his innerself knew the truth.
 
“Wha--? But you can manage on your own! Just go through here, then--” Soooyung was telling him directions, but she could see that he wasn’t listening. “Ya! You could at least listen!”
 
“I’m not good with directions, just take me there.” He said, pouting. “Please?”
 
Sooyoung actually find it funny when he does aegyo, but she tried to hide it. “Aish! Fine… let’s go…” she said and stomp her feet on the opposite way.
 
Kyuhyun smirked in triumph and followed her. How selfish can he get?

They eventually arrive at the coffee shop, with Sooyoung still irritated and Kyuhyun’s teasing and just enjoying it. sooyoung stopped just a few walks more from the shop, she turns to him, “Okay, we are now here. So please, I’m going home now…” she said and turned to the other side again and left.
 
Kyuhyun just stares at her as she left, he smiled. Sooyoung was really a kind hearted person, while he was an evil selfish person. He sighed and proceeded to the coffee shop.
 
As soon as Kyuhyun stepped in the coffee shop, it was nothing but chaos. The whole shop was packed, and he really never expected something like this. He looks around and his face was in awe at how there were so many people, and all were talking at the same time.
 
Someone bumps into him unexpectedly, he looks and a flushed and panicky Seohyun greets him. 'Wow, great…' he thought sarcastically.
 
"Aigoo… I-I'm--I'm--" Seohyun stares at him in shock and just froze there.
 
"It's fine…" Kyuhyun said.
 
"A-ahh…" Seohyun nodded and was about to excuse herself when she remembered something. "Ah!" she said so suddenly that it startled him.
 
"Oppa! You're our new employee right? You need to start now, we're very short on people!" Seohyun exclaimed. It was true, Seohyun was the only one working, since Tiffany wasn't there.
 
Kyuhyun wasn't able to say something and just simply nodded, and left.
 
Seohyun smiled to herself and continued working. She was proud of herself for being able to speak to him. She hopes that he can be his friend.

Kyuhyun proceeds into the back room, where only staffs are allowed. He puts his things into one of the available lockers. He scowled as he arranged his stuff. 
 
"Oppa"
 
He remembered how Seohyun said the word, it was closely similar with someone he loathes the most, his ex.
 
He slammed the locker door shut and exits the room.

Work was something definitely new to Kyuhyun, because one, he wasn't really the work type of person, and second, he hasn't worked in his life, maybe a bit when he was still an orphan, but it was only cleaning duties.
 
After a few hours of working, he was beat, and he just wanted to go home and sleep, for until maybe the next two days.
 
Seohyun was there of course to help him, and he noticed also that however panicky Seohyun was, she tried to still give a friendly smile to all the customers. Plus, her giving shy glances to him, which he actually didn’t like.
 
And for the record, he was actually glad that his hyung and the others weren't there, because they may be laughing at him while working. If he himself can't imagine him working, so would the others, especially his hyung.
 
The shop finally comes to a close at 10:00 pm, and all Kyuhyun wants to do is sleep, but of course he still has to go home. He arranges his stuff and puts his apron back into his locker. He heard another sound in the room, and he glanced at Seohyun, who was also rummaging through her locker.
 
He returns back into his and closed the locker door after getting his bag from it. He walks away, and was about to exit the room when Seohyun called him.
 
"Uhh… thanks for the hard work oppa!" she said.
 
And again, he twitches as he heard the word 'Oppa' coming from her. It irritates him, so instead of saying something back, he just left.

Kyuhyun emerges from the staff room, and he saw Siwon arranging some stuff from the counter. He notices Kyuhyun and smiled.
 
"Kyuhyun-ssi? Is that right?" Siwon asks, raising a brow.
 
"Yeah, but you can just call me Kyu…" Kyuhyun said.
 
"Okay then Kyu." Siwon smiled again, "Thanks for the hard work, and for applying, I was actually afraid that we may be short on people until next week." He added.
 
Kyuhyun actually doesn’t know how to respond, so he just chuckled awkwardly. He actually doesn’t know how to act when in front of persons like Siwon, really gentle and kind. “Yeah, I actually needed a job…”
 
“Then it’s a good thing you found our shop.” Siwon smiled, and continued what he’s doing. “Thanks again for the hard work Kyu, see you tomorrow.”
 
“Yeah..” he said and started to leave.
 
“Uh, Kyu!” Siwon suddenly called him and he stopped abruptly, and looks at him.
 
“Have you by any chance knows why… Tiffany didn’t go to work today?” Siwon shyly asks, while still keeping a straight face.
 
“No, I don’t. Sorry.” Kyuhyun answered. He can tell that Siwon’s bothered about Tiffany not being able to report to work. He wonders if his concerns are only professional.
 
“Oh, uh… okay then… good—goodnight…” Siwon said.
 
Kyuhyun nodded and left the shop, things were really getting awkward for him.

The next morning, Sooyoung lazily got out of bed promptly when her alarm rings. She sleepily takes a bath, and proceeded after with household chores immediately. The sooner she finishes, the earlier she gets to rest.
 
 
The first chore was to clean their front yard, she rakes the dry leaves that fall down from their tree every day, while the chill wind penetrates her skin, causing her to shiver, she forgot how cold it is in 5:00 in the morning.
 
The next one was to get the dirty clothes from each of the rooms for laundry. She carefully snuck in the rooms of her step mother and step siblings, taking their clothes as quietly as possible. She’ll leave the clothes in the washroom and return later to wash it.
 
She has other things to do like prepare breakfast, and then basically clean the whole house. And she does this everyday without fail, it seems that it grew on her. But of course sometimes, she just wants to rest for once in her weekend.
 
It was 8:00 am and her step mother and step siblings would be waking up soon, she proceeds to the kitchen and starts to prepare breakfast. She was halfway done when Heechul suddenly pops out of nowhere, startling her.
 
“Aigoo… o-oppa…” Sooyoung exclaimed.
 
“Soo, get dressed, we’re going somewhere.” Heechul said.
 
“Huh?” Sooyoung looked at him surprised, she’d never expect something like this, even more from Heechul.
 
“Ya, are you deaf or something?” Heechul glared at her, he was in a crappy mood, since he woke up early. And yes, 8:00 am was too early for him.
 
“A-ah… I understand…” she said and started panicking, she looks around and didn’t know what to do first. She wasn’t done cooking yet.
 
“Okay, don’t panic. Finish that first since I’m hungry.” Heechul said, and sat down at the dining table. “Then get dressed.”
 
Sooyoung nodded, and continued cooking. After a few minutes she was done and was preparing the food on the table. “Um, where are we going oppa?” she asked Heechul.
 
“You’ll see…” he said simply, which aroused Sooyoung’s curiosity more.
 
Sooyoung just nodded and finished preparing the table, and left to change.
 
“Put on something nice!” Heechul called out to her, but she didn’t hear it.
 
While changing Sooyoung couldn’t help but wonder where they were going, this was the first time that Heechul invited her somewhere, it was weird. But she felt excited and nervous at the same time.
 
After changing, she went down and met Yoona on the way down. She scowled slightly. Meeting Yoona in the morning always made her so.
 
“And where are you going?” Yoona asked rudely.
 
“It’s none of your business.” She said, and was about to continue down when someone spoke.
 
“Oh is it?” she heard the familiar voice of her stepmother, she looks up and saw her at the top of the stairs, frowning. “Care to tell me where are you going this early? Are you planning to skip your chores again?” her stepmother asks.
 
Sooyoung boiled up inside, never did she skip any of her chores before, maybe once, but she was sick then. “I’m--”
 
“She’s going with me.”
 
They all look and saw Heechul standing by the foot of the stairs. “Come on shikshin.” He said, walking to the front door.
 
Sooyoung didn’t say anything anymore and just followed. Leaving Yoona and Mrs. Im standing there, jaws dropped, utterly shocked.
 
“Oh yeah, breakfast is at the table.” Heechul said and they left the house.

Kyuhyun was still sleeping peacefully when someone pushes the curtains aside and let’s in the sunlight, causing it to blind Kyuhyun’s eyes. He groaned and put a pillow on his head, blocking it.
 
Then that someone pulls his blanket from him, causing the cold wind to touch his skin. He sat up and glared at whoever was torturing him in the morning. He saw his hyung picking up clothes from the floor and tossing it on his bed.
 
“Honestly Kyu, do you even clean up here?” he asks, scowling at his dirty room.
 
“Hyung, why are you here so early in the morning? Let me sleep, I’m tired…” Kyuhyun said and lied back on his head. He was still tired from working last night.
 
“Oh no you don’t!” Donghae said and pulled him out of bed.
 
“Hyung! What the hell!” Kyuhyun glared at him.
 
“Get dressed! Now! Heechul-hyung just called and asked us to meet him. I’ll be dead if we’re not there in 30 minutes.” he said, “And I’m not joking.” He added.
 
“I don’t care, go if you want…” he said, and lazily goes back to his bed.
 
“Come on Kyu, my life’s at stake here!” donghae said, but of course, he was just exaggerating. Then he had an idea. “Okay, I’ll buy you the latest game console there is.”
 
With that said, Kyuhyun’s head immediately shot up and looks at him, causing Donghae to smirk.
 
“Okay! Get up! Now!” Donghae pushed him out of bed and Kyuhyun has no choice but to follow.

Jessica yawned again as she sat down on the bench together with Taeyeon, Leeteuk and Eunhyuk. They sat there just waiting for the others to arrive. They were going to buy the props and clothes for the play.
 
“I guess we’re too early.” Taeyeon said.
 
“Nope, we’re actually just in time.” Leeteuk said, looking at his watch.
 
“Can someone tell me again why I’m here?” Eunhyuk asks, yawning.
 
“Ask Heechul--” Leeteuk said, when his phone rings. “Yeoboseyo?” he said as he answered.
 
“Teuk, are you guys there already?” the familiar voice of Kim Heechul boomed in his phone.
 
“Yeah, me, Taengoo, Sica and Hyuk.” He said.
 
“What about Tiffany?”
 
“Oh, I don’t know… she told us she wasn’t coming.” Leeteuk said, he heard Heechul say something after. He wasn’t sure if it was a cuss or something else.
 
“Okay, anyway… I’ll be executing the plan on Kyu and Soo today. I’ll explain it when I arrive.” He said and hung up.
 
Leeteuk closed his phone. Taeyeon was looking at him, “Who was that?” she asks.
 
“Heechul. He said he was going to execute the plan on Soo and Kyu today.” He explained.
 
And after that everyone’s faces lit up, especially Jessica’s and Taeyeon’s they’ll surely were going to enjoy the day.

anyway.. i dunno if this chapter is fine >< i hope it is >< and i have something new with this fic~ since some of you demands more Kyuyoung, and i have many side pairings.. im going to separate it, the side pairings will all have sidestories.. but that doesn't mean that the main chapters will be solely for kyuyoung only.. there'll be little scenes of the sidepairings too. but they'll have their own chapters, the sidestories...
