IV- Hyoyeon x Kris - You Cover My Heart
Hyoyeon's Apples [Requests closed and writing]Pairing: Hyoyeon x Kris
Prompt: [Song] Back Hug - SNSD.
The song is seriously the sweetest thing-- of relying on someone and being there for each other. I decided to write an alternate timeline to a KrisxHyo I wrote in my other story Hyoyeon: What If - Set in a Chinese high school while Hyoyeon is there on exchange.

Title: You Cover My Heart
'Hey don't get cocky,' someone bumped Hyoyeon, slamming her against a locker.
Hyoyeon brushed it off, used to it. It wasn't any less annoying though, that as a third year she was being victimised by the first years who seemed to be so in love with the "gorgeous prince" of the school.
Did she, as a Korean exchange student asked to be placed in his home? No. It's not like she had a choice in the matter. All she wanted was to blend into the crowd for the 6 months her father insisted she go "to get a taste of a different culture".
Apparently, high school bullying was high school bullying, regardless the culture.
'Hey you okay? Stop spacing out,' it was the prince himself, with his cheeky grin, and his friends, Tao, Chen and Lay by his side.
'Leave me alone!' she muttered, noticing the death stares she was receiving, and pushing past him.
It would be great if his personality was as horrible as his fans, but no-- Kris was kind as he was good looking, and as a second year he was about to live up to expectation and be elected as student council president for the next school year. He was nice to everyone, and especially trying to take her under his wing.
Apparently it didnt matter that she was a year older than him, no matter how many times she tried to remind him, he just laughed it off and treated her like a little sister instead.
That really bugged her.

One thing amazing about being placed in the Wu household was that they had this gorgeous garden, which was about as big as the school's soccer field (ok maybe not). But the design was second to none, with Kris' mum being an amazing landscape designer, and Hyoyeon loved it there.
She especially loved that there was a mini hedge maze and that right at the heart of it, a little gazebo where should sit and practise her dance moves after the hellish experiences in school.
The closet romantic that she was thought that it would be such a wonderful place to share with someone-- unfortunately, not the someone whose steps she could hear approaching-- Maybe if she ignored him he would go away...
'Hyoyeon, are you okay? I saw that nasty bump... are you sure you don't want me to say anything to those girls?'
Apparently not...
'We talked about this already,' Hyoyeon sighed in annoyance, 'it's fine. I'm sure that once they realise there's nothing between us-- and I seriously don't understand why they haven't realised it already-- then I'm sure they will leave me alone...'
