A new chapter of life

“Minho, why do I need to put on this blind fold?”

“Because I want to present our wedding night venue as a present to you.” Minho replied fastening the blind fold around Taaemin’s eyes, being extra careful not to hurt the younger, his…..husband by tying too tight.

It wasn’t mandatory to reserve a special somewhere for their wedding night but their parents simply wanted to present the night specially to them on their own way. They would've sent them away to their honeymoon right after the ceremony was done but Minho still had some work to do since Choi's and Lee's were gonna work together in the buissness world from then on. So, the honeymoon date was posponed.

And they were, after the ceremony had completed, they bid all the guests, friends and families goodbye before taking off for the place where they would be spending their wedding night at.

“You do remember that it is your wedding night too, right Minho?” Taemin asked arching an eyebrow, looking at…… well nowhere since he was blind folded.

Minho laughed out loud. –“well? Of course, I remember. How can I not? It’s just… since dad was kind of busy and all, I was the one choosing our wedding night venue. So, you see, it’s not really a surprise for me.” He explained.

“Wow! Epic.” Taemin commented.

“No doubt.”

“I don’t know what to say.”

“Just don’t say anything.” Minho replied softly.

“So, what should I do now? I mean, since all I could do sitting in this car is watch the passing scenery through the glass but now, you see- I can’t even see anything and that’s totally making me bored.” Taemin said sighing.

“Well……. Uhmm….well,  you can just…..- ” The older started stammering suddenly. –“You can just hold my hand.”

“Well, someone is holding my hand already though I can’t say who cause you know….” Taemin replied pointing at the black cloth tied around his eyes. There was a teasing smile plastered on his lips.

Minho flushed red when he noticed himself holding the younger’s smaller hand in his so tightly like his life depended on it. Thankfully, the younger couldn’t see or it would be really embarrassing. After all it’s not really so manly to blush that much for a guy. And for Choi Minho, it’s more embarrassing because again Choi Minho wasn’t used to blushing that much.

Well, that could actually change now since a certain Lee Taemin was sitting right beside him. A certain Lee Taemin, who happened to be his very husband.

“Oh!” –Was all Minho could voice out after Taemin’s earlier statement.

“Here. This way.” Minho led Taemin with one of his hand carefully holding one of Taemin’s and another hand securely wrapped around his shoulder so that the younger doesn’t stumble on his step ahead not being able to see.

“Is it a lift, Minho?”Taemin asked sensing something like that.

“You’ll find out later.” The older replied.

Taemin sighed, clearly not satisfied with the answer he received. He could sense the thing they had entered was taking them up. – “Yeah. It definitely is an elevator and we’re going up…..up……up…..and…..up……uhm, Minho? Exactly which floor are we going up to? Are you taking me over the cloud by any chance?”  He babbled in a mocking tone. It was really frustrating for him not being able to know where he was being led to.

Minho chuckled. The sight of his babbling cute husband was too cute for him.

“If I could, I would have taken you to cloud number nine.” He replied jockingly.

“That means nine layers of cloud. No, thanks. That would be sooo….long. I won’t be able to put up with my patience that long. You see, it’s not really fun walking around with a blind fold on your eyes. I feel like prisoned.” Taemin replied back.

Ï’m sorry. Just a little bit more and we’ll be there.” Minho apologized with a gentle tone squeezing the younger’s hand.

Taemin didn’t say anything else. Minho’s gentle tone always put him to silence. Pleasant silence to be precised.

After getting off the elevator they waalked a few more steps. -“We’re here. Another couple of steps only.” Minho declared.

“Finally.” Taemin sighed in relief once they halted at their track.

“Minho?” He called out as he felt the older not moving and simply standing still beside him.

“Taemin-ah?” Minho’s tone was somehow different when he spoke up.

“Yes?” Taemin replied, his mind clouded with confusion.

“Thanks for keeping your words.”

“Eh?”

“You kept your words that said you would give a try to this marriage   to be successful. So far you’ve kept your words. I know you still can’t accept this whole thing totally but you’re still putting up with it and I’m more than grateful to you for that. I'm gonna try to make you happy at every step of the new chapter of life we have started together with those vows in front of the priest. I’ll try to keep them. I promise, I’ll try my best.” Minho whispered and each and every words went piercing through the younger’s chest.

Taemin couldn’t decide if the words hurt him or made him feel happy or rather …….guilty.

He couldn’t tell.

Throughout the whole process of signing those papers to entangle their fate with each other, they had made vows to each other in the name of the almighty ……many vows.

'Minho has promised to keep the vows.' –Someone screamed in his head.

Marriage is not only to go with a couple of signed papers but also to go with to have vowed and promised and to keep those vows and promises.

Now that all those words clouded in his mind, a question popped up in his head -‘Minho has promised to keep his vows. What if I fail to keep mine?’Taemin shuddered as the sudden mess of thoughts slapped him hard to reality.

It’s not about protecting their signed papers but about keeping their vows, they made with eyes staring into each other’s and hands holding onto each other’s.    

He became scared all of a sudden. It wasn’t jock anymore.

“Minho- .” He started with a shaky voice but was cut off by the older.

“Whatever. Let’s go in, shall we? You must be feeling uncomfortable with that blind fold.” Minho said unlocking the door in front of them.

He gently led Taemin through the door.

“Now…..you can see.” He declared pulling off the black cloth away from Taemin’s eyes so he could see.

After the blind fold was removed, the first thing that Taemin was met with was his smiling dazzling husband in his black wedding suite.

Minho smiled. –“Welcome~.” He sang gesturing around the room while moving away to give Taemin a good view of the room.

The room was so beautifully decorated. Off-white colored bed, couch were nicely decorated in the room. Only one room with kitchen space, parted away with a nicely division wall and a quite big veranda. And not to mention the womderful complexion of darkness and yellow light illuminating from the candles placed here and there in the room.

“It’s beautiful.” He commented while looking around. –“I must say, your choice is quite good.” He added.

“Well….ah, I just choose the spot. About everything else- like arranging the room and you know... our mothers did that work.” Minho replied laughing.

“No wonder why mom seemed so excited about it.” Taemin muttered and couldn’t help but laugh recalling how childish his mother looked when she excitedly babbled about how much they would like their wedding night venue.

"Did you say anything?"

"No! Uhm.. I mean, since you choose the spot, lets see how it is." Taemin replied walking out to the varanda. “Wow~.” Taemin couldn’t stop himself from voicing out. He could see the reflection of night city in the lake water. It somehow looked like there were numerous lights swarming in the water and the Moon in the sky....everything gave away a nice complexion of beauty. -"Though I said it in a wrong place, let me say it again- your choice is really good and I'm not wrong this time." He firmly stated which made the older to laugh out loud.

“well, thank you." Minho uttered gazing at Taemin who was gazing at the moonlit night sky.

"You're welcome." The younger replied not looking away.

Minho smiled affectinately. -"I must sound crazy but whatever...." Taemin looked at him with a questioning gaze as he spoke up. -"Whenever I look at you, you always look like a glowing moon in the sky" He stated caressing Taemin's cheek with the back of his fingers. The interact made younger gulp and look away with blushing cheeks. -"You know? You look even more beautiful when you blush." Minho cmmented retreating his hand. He had always wanted to say that to the younger but was afraid thinking, that was still early. However, he couldn't held back anymore.

Taemin couldn't decide what he should reply with. So, he just kept his mouth shut as his cheeks gained deeper shade of pink. If he had tried to talk, he would have stuttered embarrassingly anyway.

It was a good thing that Minho somehow guessed his situation. -"You must be tired. Why don’t you go fresh up first?” The older offered.

“Oh! Yeah, r-right.” Taemin replied quicly heading inside. He awkwardly stood in the middle of the room looking around, feeling uneasy all of a sudden.

“I guess, they put our cloths in that cabinet.” Minho commented walking towards the cabinet placed at the corner of the room. Taemin followed.

“Here. I think they’re yours.” The older pulled out a pair of pj set and handed them to him. Taemin felt really awkward or rather….embarrassed taking his pj set from Minho. It still seemed difficult for him to think that they were married and would be living together from then on. It was a life time deal.
