In Taemin’s eyes, meeting Jinki was the best thing that could have every happened to him. Not only had he gained a best friend and confident that day on the rooftop, he would later find his other half, the one person who despite teasing and driving insane would always be there for him.

He could always look at Jinki and find a smile gathering on his face, ready to fight off whatever bad thoughts or negative feelings he may have.

Jinki was the one he could have fun with, act like a kid yet still be held in a mature light. His leader’s goofy smile and attitude towards him made him feel special, especially on the nights they were alone together and wrapped up in a warm embrace.

Even now, staring at Jinki made the butterflies in his tummy rumble and his heart pounded over and over again. He knew his life would be that much different if he had never met and fallen for Jinki.

“Maknae!”

Taemin snapped out of his daze, staring up at the elder now. He wore a gentle smile and patted his head. “Save the thoughts for later Tae-baby.”

As he watched his lover walk backstage he knew he would follow. Without Jinki in his life, he felt lost almost. But Jinki was his ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, making his heart burst with joy. He eagerly ran after his leader and grabbed his hand. Gently, quietly, he placed head on Jinki’s shoulder and giggled, “I’m glad I met you hyung.”

“Oh?”

Taemin could only giggle as Jinki squeezed his hand tighter. “You make my life bright.”
