Chapter 7

“So what do you want to show me?” Baekhyun asked as he follows Chanyeol to a room.

“Come here” was Chanyeol’s only answer and enter the room

Actually, it wasn’t just a room, it was an empty auditorium. A piano was located in the middle of the lighted up stage. Chanyeol was making his way towards piano and Baekhyun followed him.

“This is where I practice since it’s always empty and everyone is using the new auditorium.” Chanyeol informed him as he sit down

Baekhyun only nodded and look at him as he started playing some keys

“Can you help me? I have this performance for the next project in music class.” Chanyeol stated

“Yeah sure” then Chanyeol started playing an unfamiliar melody.

It was a beautiful piece and he can’t deny he wanted to sing along with it. The melody was soothing his soul. As Baekhyun look at Chanyeol who was looking down as his fingers gracefully played along the keys. Baekhyun can’t explain the sudden feeling he is experiencing now. His heartbeat fastens its beat as he looks at the man. He can’t even understand if he could still breathe with his heart and his inside doing crazy stuff. And as if the time stopped, all Baekhyun could see was the boy in front of him.

It’s a miracle to think if his in love, he can’t even remember when was the last time he felt that way… or it was just with Chanyeol. He can’t even stop looking at the man on the piano. He is so solemn, innocent and…

“So what do you think?” Chanyeol said pulling Baekhyun back to reality.

“The what?” dumb question, Baekhyun mentally facepalmed his self

“The song...” Chanyeol tilted his head a little. It looks so cute that Baekhyun want to eat him alive

The song? Right it ended. Too bad it ended too soon.

“Ahh… it’s good, great actually. It just needed the song.” Baekhyun honestly commented

“Hmm... yeah right. About that, I’m still writing that one though.” Chanyeol said then flashes his toothy smile.

Seeing that smile makes Baekhyun smile back at him. He can’t just stop his lips to spread and smile. Then he notice the taller man looked at him lovingly or it was just him seeing things again.

They both gaze at each other and smile like the world stopped revolving. Then an unexpected thing happened. Baekhyun’s eyes open wide as his heart stopped beating for a second. His illness is bothering him again. His chest is crushing on him again. His hands automatically flew to his chest and he inhale sharply. Chanyeol abruptly stood up.

“Are you okay? What happen?” he asked in concern

Baekhyun can’t let the other boy know his condition. He immediately shook his head. He needs to go home and rest his body; his heart is at it again.

“Nothing. I just remember, my mom wants me to go home early.” Baekhyun said making up a lie as he fake a smile and looks at his watch for more convincing acting.

“Oh really, then let’s go.” Chanyeol said as he walks and grab both of their bags and handed the other to Baekhyun.

“Oh no. it’s okay if you continue. I wouldn’t mind to walk alone.” Baekhyun waved his hands to stop Chanyeol

“No. My mom knows I’m with you and if she knows I let you go alone she would kill me.” The taller boy said sarcastically.

“Okay.” Baekhyun just can’t say no to him.

They made their way home and all Baekhyun could do is too pray that Chanyeol wouldn’t notice is sharp in takes of air as he inhale.

‘Please, just end this pain right now.’ Baekhyun silently pray.
