Sorry! I've been having so much trouble with the plot, wrote at least 5 different scenarios for this bit...

Also, going on a school trip so will be on hiatus for the next 10 days :/

"Guys!" Luhan calls urgently. "Look at this!"

They read the news of the Weekly Idol Mona Lisa with a growing sense of shock.

"Oh no…" Baekhyun whispers.

"This is going to be bad," Lay states.

Jewel, where are you? How are you? Kris thinks, frustrated to the point of exploding.

"On a totally different note," Suho says into the heavy silence, awkwardly trying to change the subject. "Come with Baek and me to Inkigayo tonight? You guys don't have any other schedules."

"Isn't GOT7 performing tonight? I want to see their martial arts tricking." Tao answers.

"We should all go," Kris suggests quietly. His tone brooks no argument. "We haven't really been spending much time together lately."

Everyone agrees, subdued.

"I can't believe you made me agree to this," you grumble, trailing unwillingly after Wiwat as he steps lightly toward your destination.

"It's going to be so fun!" he cheers, offensively happy.

"I won't know a single performer," you complain sourly.

Ignoring your words, he tows you to the door, past a couple hundred of disgruntled fans. "Dohyuk sent us!"

The burly security guard looks impassively down at the two of you, then at a photo in his hand. A short man and a shorter woman. He lets the two of you in, gesturing silently to the front of the studio.

"I could get used to this," Wiwat says, sneaking you a sly look.

You look at him flatly. "No. I'm not going to audition just so you can get a good view at music shows."

"Honestly." He frowns. "You think so lowly of me."

You raise your eyebrows at him.

He grins sheepishly. "Why don't you want to become an idol?"

"I want to be able to visit my parents whenever I want," you answer simply. "And I want my privacy."

"I guess those are good reasons," he says doubtfully as people start to stream in. "I'm going to stand there, next to where the MCs stand!"

"Bye," you wave. "I'm fine right here."

He's too excited to argue and just waves, squeezing through to where he had pointed.

A few moments later, you're glad you didn't follow.

All inclination to stay vanishes as you watch Suho and Baekhyun take their places on the stage. Oh, no.

You duck as their gazes pass over the audience, heartrate increasing. Is it just you or do they look tired? You shake your head vigorously. You're not supposed to care. Why did I have to wear neon today?

You're so busy avoiding their eyes that you don't notice the camera pointed at the front row of spectators.

Somewhere backstage, Kyungsoo's signature shocked face makes its appearance. He points at the TV.

Suho and Baekhyun's introduction seems to take forever. You're relieved when a bunch of girls take the stage, but not for long.

The fans around you are jostling and shoving to get a better view. It's nowhere near as violent as the crowd that had met you and Luhan (not Bambi, not anymore) that day. You know you can shove them away, but somehow you can't make yourself move. For the first time in what seems like forever, your body refuses to obey your commands.

"What is she doing here?" Kris asks the TV, fixated on you.

"What is she doing at a music show?" Luhan elaborates, also transfixed.

"Has anyone recognized her?" Xiumin muses.

"Do you think Baekhyun hyung and Suho hyung have noticed?" Tao wonders.

"I'd say a better question is: Is she okay?" Lay suggests quietly.

Chanyeol shakes his head in distress. "Jagi doesn't look good!"

"She looks like she's about to faint…" Kai says hesitantly. Unfortunately, the rest of the members have to agree.

Sehun slips unnoticed out of the dressing room.

Group after group take the stage. Suho and Baekhyun's voices seem to become farther away as the show goes on.

"Let's welcome GOT7!" Suho cheers.

It's hard to breathe- the air is suddenly oppressive. You look up at the stage with terror in your unseeing eyes. It's taking everything you have to stay standing, and in the end, even that is not enough. Help.

Someone in a black jacket and ripped jeans slips past security and prepares to vault into the audience area.

Backstage, Xiumin blocks the door as the members of EXO prepare to rush out. "We'll only make things worse."

They watch helplessly as you turn ashen and lift your head in a silent cry for help. As if in slow motion, your hands slip from the railing and you crumple.

Mark's eyes are drawn to a spot of neon in the front row of spectators as he lands a flip.

Recognition dawns, almost too late.

Fans scream as he makes the fastest decision he has ever made in his life.

It is a credit to GOT7's teamwork that they react immediately by jumping off stage and aiding their band member.

The studio descends into instant chaos. It takes the six other members of the group, ten security guards, and a figure in a black hoodie to clear the area where Mark crouches defensively, arms close around your limp body.

Backstage, EXO watches with bated breath, relieved and resentful. They can't help but feel useless.

***

Dohyuk screams shrilly as he sees what's happened. "Please don't die before you meet JYP samchon!" he begs.

JYP hits him on the back of his head. "Dohyuk, can you be any colder? I hope your father didn't raise you this way!" GOT7, my boys, don't let her get away.

Wiwat pushes his way through the crowd and stares down the security guards. "Let me through."

When denied entry to the area, he ducks agilely past the burly men and goes into a crouch next to you. "I'm her friend. I can take care of her from here," he says, reaching for you.

Mark eyes him. "No." He stands up fluidly, holding you bridal style. "I'm taking her backstage," he states, clearly heard over the mic.

The uproar ceases abruptly. The sound of the fidgeting of four hundred shocked spectators fills the air.

Somewhere backstage, JYP claps a hand over his face. He can just hear the scandal brewing.

The rest of GOT7 vaults over the railing separating the audience from the backstage area. But before Mark can hand you temporarily to Jackson as he vaults over, himself, a figure silently appears before him and lowers his hood.

Screams again pierce the air.

"That looks like… Sehun?" Luhan gasps. He looks around and confirms the maknae's absence. "Sehun! That's Sehun!" he shrieks, pointing at the screen.

"WE KNOW!" Everyone shouts, equally shocked.

Reaching for you, Sehun meets the older man's eyes with a silent plea.

Mark searches for something in the blond's eyes and finds it. Nodding, he lets the younger one take you gently from him. He vaults over as the crowd surges against the guard wall.

GOT7 and Sehun head backstage with you without a backwards glance.
