(11): Dreams aren't always sweet (1/2)

Warning: Crack/Failed fic ahead. Go ahead and try if you dare. This is still uncompleted!!

Sunggyu ran. He ran as fast as he could. What kind of monster was that? He turned his head back once again. The bunch of wild animals continued chasing him. How was it possible for a tiger to be ten times bigger than it was shown on the television? But, the real question was how did he even get stuck in this horrifying situation? He can’t remember a single thing.

He continued to run. Was this ever going to end? When he was about to give up, he turned his head around, the bunch of insanely large tigers were gone. Now where was he? Why was he in a jungle? Wait a minute- Was that a group of leopards sleeping? No, No, No. He can’t continue running like a mad man- not like he could even outrun leopards.

He tried to pass by the group of leopards sleeping by tiptoeing through quickly. His luck ran out when he accidently stepped on a tree branch. The loud creaking sound awakens one of the leopards as it lunges right at Sunggyu.

“Hyung!” The loud yell and violent shake on Sunggyu’s shoulders woke him up. What? It was just another nightmare. The brunet hands held his chest tightly as he could feel his heart beating crazily against his chest. “Sunggyu Hyung, are you okay?” Myungsoo asked in concern, eyes filled with worry. “Yes, I thought I was really going to die this time,” Sunggyu let out a sigh of relief. “That’s what you said every time!” Myungsoo chuckled as he patted his brother’s back.

“Are you really alright? I mean it have been years-” Myungsoo asked as he stared at his brother pitifully. “Don’t look at me so pitifully, Hyung is fine, I’m not dead,” Sunggyu assured as he tried to joke. However, his joke went wrong when he sees his younger brother looking even more worried. “Hyung, maybe I shouldn’t move out, I should just stay-” Myungsoo suggested. “Don’t even try! I’m not going to let you miss such a good opportunity just because of my stupid nightmares!” Sunggyu replied with a slight hint of anger.

“But Hyung-,” Myungsoo looks sadly at his older brother. “All these years, ever since that accident, you been having nightmares,” Myungsoo continued as he held back a sob. “Myungsoo-yah, listen to Hyung, I am fine. Just don’t disappoint Hyung and study hard alright?” Sunggyu ruffled his brother’s neat hair and gave him an assuring smile.

Truth to be told, Sunggyu is extremely terrified by the fact that he was never going to have a normal life. He could never go through a night without having a nightmare. Ever since the accident which took away his parents’ lives, he had been having nightmares. Even though Myungsoo sleeps beside him every night, the nightmares never stop. Zombies, aliens, animals, vampires, demons, werewolves, ghosts- all kinds of nightmares, you name it- he definitely would have dreamt of it.

When would he be set free? The dark circles under his eyes seemed to mock him. It never seemed to fade away. Just like those zombies in his dream, he walked around his school lifelessly. He wasn’t even able to take a short nap without a horrifying dream of something chasing him. Everyone avoided him because he seemed cranky most of the time due to his lack of sleep. Sunggyu stared at the board in front of him tiredly. Rubbing his small eyes, his vision was blurred. It was normal for him- he barely slept for four hours every night. He felt ten times worse when he remembered today was the day Myungsoo was going to leave.

It was his job as an older brother to protect the younger one but he had failed. Myungsoo had always been the one protecting him from bullies. Now, he felt like a burden when his younger brother offered to stay at home instead of accepting his scholarship to study in America. He felt useless. Why didn’t he die? What’s the point of surviving through that car crash to only bring him misery every night? If there was one thing he had hated more than the nightmares he had every night, it was himself.

The bell rang. It was unusual for anyone to come. It was even more unusual since Myungsoo had already left for America the day before. He opened the door to see an unfamiliar face. “You must be Sunggyu Hyung,” The blue haired boy pushed passed him and dragged his huge luggage into his house. “Wait- Who are you? What are you- Hey! Don’t touch that!” Sunggyu yelled when he sees the younger boy picking up a photo frame on the table.

“Hyung! You look so cute! Myungsoo is such a nerd when he was younger!” The blue haired boy threw his head back as he laughed loudly. Was this another nightmare he had? Was this boy another ghost murderer? He had a similar dream whereby a lady entered his house and when he found out she was a ghost and she had tried to kill him.

Damn it, now what was he supposed to do? Wait till this boy show his true colors? Sunggyu breathed in once, twice. He cracked his knuckles. It was the first time he had realized it was a nightmare before anything could kill him. He should take the chance to conquer his fear. The blue haired ghost in front of him isn’t real anyways. The brunet jumped at the blue haired boy and started strangling him. The boy looked puzzled and before he knew it, Sunggyu was on top of him, strangling him.

“SHOW ME YOUR TRUE FORM! YOU BLUE HAIRED GHOST! JUST BECAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE A HUMAN YOU THINK I WAS GOING TO GET DECEIVED AGAIN RIGHT?! YOU ARE WRONG!!” Sunggyu yelled as he tightened his hold on the boy’s neck.

The blue haired boy’s eyes widened and let out breathless coughs while he struggled under Sunggyu’s hold. What’s wrong with this ghost? He is too human….. Wait a minute…. Sunggyu’s hands loosened and blue haired boy took the opportunity to push him back roughly. He felt a sharp pain at the back of his head and everything went black.

“Don’t worry, he is fine,” A deep voice assured. “Then why isn’t he waking up?” A familiar voice asked worriedly. “That’s because he have been deprived of sleep,” Sunggyu slowly opened his eyes and felt a pair of hands grabbed onto his tightly. The doctor shook his head and left the room. “Hyung! You’re awake!” The familiar blue haired boy who have trespassed his house was in front of him again. His head throbbed painfully as he tried to recall what happened. “Hyung! Don’t hit your head! Your head is still injured!” The boy pulls his hands away.

“Who are you?” Sunggyu was sure that the blue haired boy was not a ghost murderer. He was definitely sure that this was not another nightmare. “Sorry, I shouldn’t have just barged in like that, but I thought Myungsoo had told you about it!” The boy apologized as he bowed. “It’s alright,” Sunggyu shook his head. If anyone should apologize, it should be him instead. He had almost killed a stranger.

“My name is Woohyun. I’m Myungsoo’s close friend and I would be staying with you until Myungsoo is back,” Woohyun introduced himself as he grinned widely. “WHAT?!” Sunggyu shouted as he stared at Woohyun.

This is inspired by my nightmare despite RedStripes wishing me to dream of sweet woogyu dreams. T.T 

I'm still writing this and I'm not sure when i will post the continuation of this fic. 

It's been a year since i updated this omg. HAHAHA. Sorry my subbies, i have been lazy busy. 

I'm still writing The Survivors with my friend! ^^

I hope you guys enjoyed the part one of this fic. It should be having about 2/3 parts? It's still undecided.

I'm kinda stuck still at a part of this story. Hopefully I would be able to complete it soon? :/
