Chapter 1
Broken Engrish
Donghae had been looking for a job for a while, finding his way to a website suggesting all sorts of suitable jobs for a person like him. He had aroused people's interest with his v-logs and became kind of popular among youngsters, so he thought improving his English skills wouldn't do any harm. Vice versa, it would have been awesome if he had had international fans, from all over the world.
Regarding to that, Donghae arrived at conclusion of leaving an open application, for a company, located in London, that was specialized in opening up new day care centers. Donghae was applying for supervising children and taking care of them, in which he thought to be good at. Now he was on the official websites of the company and tried to translate, with his engrish skills, the form he was trying to fill in.
"Personal presentation..?" He mumbled and tried to figure out what did that mean. He wasn't so good at making exact sentences in English, or translating them. At least he tried his best.
After wondering, Donghae began to fill in the form, answering something at random if he didn't know what was he asked to answer. He had no real work experience yet but he thought he should give this situation a try and do anything but become a couch potato.
His life would take on a whole new meaning if he landed a job in a day care center, he'd be having a great influence on the children while taking care of them. He'd put them at ease, play with them and read stories, generally speaking, raise them as good kids. That's something Donghae loved to do.
But filling in form, considering it was in English, wasn't done by touch of a button.
Name: Lee Donghae
Age: B
Gender: Male
Nationality: Korean
Next question was harder, it made Donghae to think. How to make an impression on his possible employee by his personal presentation? It was hard to him, by any reasons, to describe himself in 500 words. So he typed:
Personal presentation: I am Donghae, I like London!! So beutiful!! If me gonna go London, ganna miss Taco!! So delicious!! ^^ Wanna dance with my children! In rain. I like it :) I'm a good man!
Donghae was completely happy with his description about himself, judging by the wide smile on his face, so he moved on the next question. It was about salary wish and the dates he was able to work on. He selected the right dates and moved on the next question. It asked him to describe in what kind of job he was applying for and/if he had any special knowledge or skills.
Describe shortly what kind of job you're applying for: Wanna play with my child's! It is so nice!! ^^ When child is good night, I'm good night! Wanna be in London, it's getting really !!! I Wanna dance ~
Special knowledge & skills: I made video! So good!! I can sing and be happy! I know music!! Share me, music with me! ~
After that Donghae choose his levels at the language skills, as he had became familiar with sentence 'good' he picked it for each language, including his native language. He was almost done with the form, actually on verge of congratulating himself of a great job application.
There were few questions left, waiting for Donghae's answer, before he was able to preview the form.
Hobbies & Interests: I lost my ipod & iphon!! So sad!! I like music & iphon! Taco is so delicious! Gonna go taco with my mom!! ^^ Video my hobby! Ganna go on photo trip :)
After that there were some empty places to portfolios and cv attachments which Donghae didn't get at all, so he previewed his application form and added couple of smileys to it, before sending. He hoped he had made an impression in the person who was going to view that application form. He went to buy some homemade tacos from nearest grill and almost got mixed up with a fist fight between two inpatient customers while queuing.
After getting his taco, he texted to his friend:
I'm eating Taco!! So good! :)
Meanwhile in London, Eunhyuk was reading through his application and wondering, how old this guy really was, as his age, was marked as B.
