No One's POV:

"MI KYONG-AH! MY POOR BABY! Are you okay? Does it all still hurt? Can you move? Are you okay?" Mi Kyong's dad interrogated.

"Appa, I'm fine okay? It's just a few cuts and bruises.." Mi Kyong muttered.

"NO IT ISN'T, MY BABY GIRL HAS A BLACK EYE!" He screamed to the top of his lungs.

"Dad it's okay, it'll eventually go away. And besides, my friend Sunggyu (the one whose kinda frozen by your presence) and our other friends have been taking great care of me. You don't have to worry," Mi Kyong assured.

Sunggyu's POV:

I was trying to introduce myself, but all I could do was watch the father-daughter reuniting which made me frozen in place.. If that's her dad, why haven't I ever heard of him before? Why didn't Mi Kyong ever tell me? I was so nervous and lost in thought, I couldn't form a complete sentence. I continued to utter complete nonsense and got even more anxious when her father walked up to me.. the sun casting a creepy dark shadow on his face.

"Are you the Sunggyu Mi Kyong's talking about?" He asked silently.

Scared out of my mind, I tried to find an answer that wouldn't offend or cause any suspicions between us.. "Yes, I am. My friends and I have been taking care of her since we found her in the girl's bathroom and called for help.. And just for the record, sir, we did not plan for any of this to happen," I reluctantly said..

Mr. So was quiet for a long time, so I thought he was either thinking about what I said or planning a scheme to execute me.. After a long pause, he started to talk again.

"IT'S ALL GOOD!" he said with a smile, "I'm glad you guys were there or else I wouldn't know what I would do!! You seem like a nice boy too, so I don't doubt you were ever mean to her.. Say, as a thank you for watching her, why don't you stay for dinner? You can invite your friends over if you like."

When he said that something told me to read Mi Kyong's facial expression to see if it's okay.. she didn't look like she up for it so I told him that it'll just be me staying and Mr. So was okay with it.

He took us back downstairs to the kitchen, me being more attentive to my surroundings than when I first got here since I was scared out of my mind. There were multitudes of pictures of Mi Kyong and her father from her childhood. By looking through all those pictures I noticed two things: 1) her mother wasn't in any of them, and 2) the pictures she had a solo shot in either had kids staring at her from afar or running away with frightened looks on their faces.. I wonder why..

Mi Kyong POV:

After the encounter with my father, Sunggyu hasn't said anything to me.. No questions, complaints, nada. Throughout that time, all I can do is worry about what's going on in his head.. Does he hate me for not telling him? Does he not want to hang out with me now that he found out who my father really was? What if he doesn't want to be my friend anymore?? All those questions kept repeating in my mind as he walked me through the corridors of my house. The awkwardness increased since he still hasn't said anything to me yet, so I looked up to see what he was doing.. and he was focusing on all my pictures with my dad from childhood to my awkward middle school phase.. how embaressing!

I had to break the silence, so I ended up spurting up the first thing that came to mind.

"So the walls, yes? We lived here as long as I can remember, so the house is kinda old.. Is that what you were looking at?" I asked.

"I wasn't looking at the wall, more at the pictures on those walls," he replied. 'OBVIOUSLY MI KYONG, even you knew that, so why did you ask him that stupid question?' I thought to myself.

We finally reached the dining area, the food already prepared and the silverwear already set up. There was a buttload of food, ranging different types and cultures, from asian to european cuisine. The two men that Sunggyu and I saw when we first came here directed us to our seats, me sitting across Sunggyu and my father on my left hand side. Ugh dad, all this food out here means only one thing, you're trying to impress.

I whispered to my dad,"Dad, what's with all this food? I know you usually cook more than enough for the both of us, but isn't this a lot? Look, he's just a friend and nothing more."

"Don't worry kiddo, I got this all in the bag," he whispered back to me as we started eating, "Ahem, so Sunggyu, what do you think of my daughter? She has a cute yet hot vibe, yes?"

I can't believe he said that! Isn't he supposed to be overprotective, and not try to put us together!? I couldn't help but thik about what would happen if Sunggyu really said that he did have feelings for me.. My cheeks and ears flushed red at the thought.

"Uhm sir, yes she is really cute and pretty," he hesistantly said.. I smiled at him and he looked away..

Sunggyu POV:

After that somewhat embarrasing moment, we finished up dinner and Mi Kyong showed me around her house.. It's really big yet beautiful, I couldn't help but wonder how Mi Kyong feels when she's all alone while her dad's away..

We somehow ended up in her room, and she showed me all the pictures of her and her dad.

"I know what you're thinking," she mentioned,"yes I looked ugly and was awkward back then, so you don't have to ask me that."

"I was going to ask you something, but it wasn't about that.. besides you looked really cute back then too," I stated then cleared my throat," *cough* I was going to ask you why don't you have your mom or friends in any of your pictures? You don't really have to answer if it's too umcomfortable to answer."

"I'm fine to answer you.. since it's all in the past now... so answer your question, my mom passed at a very young age, a little after I was born.. I don't know the details exactly but marrying my father made her a target for other groups. Ever since then my dad's been protective of me, even to kids my age. That's why I don't have pictures with any other kids.. I didn't have friends to take it with," she said.

"Oh.. well you don't have to worry now, you have the gang and I to be your friends. And don't worry, we won't run away from you like all the others," I said with a smile. She smiled back in such a cute way.. man, I just wanted to pinch her cheeks then.

It was time for me to leave, so their bodygaurds escorted me out the house and I walked home. Wow, this whole experience was crazy.. under that exterior of being a big-time mafia, Mi Kyong's father is such a cute overprotective dad. I can't wait to hang out with Mi Kyong, her father, and the gang soon!
