Seoyeon sat up and stretched her arms, remembering that she had work to do with Kai and Tao. She smiled at the sun, which was peeping through a hole in her tattered curtain. She tugged it open and peered outside, out and over the smaller trees. The light was warm on her face; It reminded her of the warm smiles she received from the boys (cheesiness intended). No matter what had happened yesterday, she would not let her day with Kai and Tao be ruined. She walked to her door and opened it, peeking out both ways before proceeding to tiptoe to the room where the boys slept. As she made her way down the hall, she was startled by a tap on her shoulder. She gasped and spun around, clinging to the wall. She sighed and panted in relief after seeing it was just Baekhyun. The poor boy was just as frightened as she was. 

    "Baekhyun, what are you doing," she whispered. He tilted his head and looked at her curiously. She pointed at him, but couldn't think of anything else to explain what she was trying to say. He tapped her shoulder to let her know he understood her. 

    In reply, he extended his arm all the way above his head and waved it there, signifying the height of something. He then folded his hands by his head, symbolizing sleep. Lastly, he shook his head and blushed after seeing Seoyeon's amused expression. She understood that Baekhyun was trying to say Chanyeol could not sleep, and she replied by nodding at him. They couldn't help but smile at each other, because their little game of charades was more amusing than it should have been. They both entered the room where Kai and Tao usually slept with Kris at their feet, or a Baekhyun curled up by their side. Today, there was no one to curl up on their bed. Seoyeon wondered where Kris went, but she remembered that she ordered him to sleep in the long hallway.

    "I'm going to check on Kris," Seoyeon said to Baekhyun, who seemed to read her lips well enough. Seoyeon skipped down the hall and made her way down the stairs. She though she saw something move on the far side of the room on the other side of the table, but she told herself that she was only imagining things. She cautiously peeked into the hallway and gasped at what she saw.

    There, Lay and Kris lie on the floor in a patch of barely visible sunlight. It was not the fact that they were lying on the floor that touched Seoyeon, but rather... The fact that they were lying in each others' embrace, legs entangled together and foreheads rested against each other made her heart flutter with warmth. She quickly turned around to head back in the direction she came from but was stopped by Kyungsoo who had magically appeared right behind her.

    "HOLY SH-" Seoyeon started to yell, but she clamped her hand over . Kyungsoo grabbed her shoulder and mouthed the word 'sorry.' She laughed quietly as she tried to catch her breath because Kyungsoo gave her quite a scare. Once she recomposed herself, her and Kyungsoo stood staring awkwardly at each other, not saying anything. It made Kyungsoo nervous, but Seoyeon seemed more delighted than anything. She grabbed Kyungsoo's hand, stirring a flock of butterflies in his stomach, and headed up the stairs to Kai and Tao's room. As Seoyeon sat on Tao's bed, Kyungsoo shut the door behind them. He then stood staring at Kai like a hawk. Seoyeon couldn't put her finger on it, but something about the way Kyungsoo was staring made Kai seem special to him. Seoyeon shook Tao's arm gently and he gasped, his eyes springing open quickly.

    "Sssh... It's me," Seoyeon said. Tao sighed and blinked away tears from his eyes.

     "H-Hello," Tao whispered. He didn't want to wake up Kai, although she was planning on it, anyway. Seoyeon grabbed his hand and looked over at Kyungsoo.

    "Kyungsoo, would you wake up Kai? I need you to help me today." Kyungsoo seemed more than eager to help Seoyeon with Kai. Somehow, this made Seoyeon nervous. As Kyungsoo carefully shook Kai's shoulder, Seoyeon leaned close to Tao's ear. "Today, we are going outside to get a bath and learn to move," she started. "Okay?" Tao couldn't help but sigh.

    "If-f only it was that easy," he said. When Kai opened his eyes, Kyungsoo smiled gleefully. To Seoyeon's surprise, Kai smiled back at him.

    "Good morning," Seoyeon said. "We're going outside today, okay?" Kai just blinked at her, so she took it as an affirmation. She stood and pulled the covers from Tao, apologizing after hearing his teeth chatter. Her and Kyungsoo grabbed Tao under the arms and lifted him from the bed. He groaned, but patiently let them carry him down the hall. At that moment, Kris was headed up the stairs and saw them.

    "Can I help," he asked, frantically. Kyungsoo and Seoyeon looked at each other in confusion, because they had it handled. Nonetheless, they nodded at Kris who scooped Tao up into his arms, bridal style. Tao made a sound that almost was a sigh and a scoff, but they ignored it. They made their way through the long hallway and past the still sleeping Yixing. They reached the pond and set Tao down by the large rock, commanding Kris to stay with him. He seemed more than happy to do so. Kyungsoo and Seoyeon skipped up the stairs and back to the room to fetch Kai, who sighed in relief when they arrived. The same as Tao, Seoyeon and Kyungsoo grabbed Kai under the arms and dragged him down to the pond. Kyungsoo had no idea what Seoyeon was planning to do, but he decided he was going to go along with it anyway.

    "So, you are probably wondering why the Hell I have dragged you guys out here..." Kris and Kyungsoo nodded. "Well, firstly, I am giving both of you a bath- err..." She watched Tao's face pale and cleared . "More or less, Kyungsoo and Kris will be, if they don't mind." Both of them nodded furiously and smiled. "Then, we are going to use our arms and hands." Tao and Kai looked offended, but Seoyeon had to live with that. She knew that what she was planning to do was going to work.

    "Let's get you undressed," she said, pulling Kai's shirt over his head with the help of Kyungsoo. She glanced at Kris, who seemed to have Tao handled. She smiled after thinking she might just ship them. She helped Kyungsoo remove Kai's pants, then turned away so he could do the rest. She knew the boys were embarrassed, so she would try to make it less embarrassing for them. She then told Kai and Tao she would cover her eyes so she could help Kyungsoo. There was no way he could lift Kai. She grabbed him under the arms as carefully as she could and told Kyungsoo to grab his legs. Between both of them, they managed to get Kai into the pond to sit on the rocks that functioned as a chair -without Seoyeon getting in the water. Kris stripped himself of everything except his underwear and waded with Tao to where the other two were.

    "I'm going to ask you two to bathe them because..." She looked away and blushed. Kris patted her hand, and she sat atop of the rock on the edge of the pond. While Kris and Kyungsoo washed Kai and Tao, Seoyeon mentally facepalmed and sighed. She was going to have to get in the water either way. The treatment she had for the boys would require it. She stealthily removed her shirt and jeans, remaining in her under wear, then quickly submerged herself in the water. Tao and Kai both looked at her with wide eyes, and she sighed.

    "I know, I know," she started. "Just pretend I'm clothed, okay? Now that you're clean, let's start working." She grabbed Kai's hand in hers, then whispered into his ear.

    "I know this will work. Just please bear with me," she pleaded. She then grabbed Tao's and whispered in his ear.

     "You have to believe that this will work. Just do as I ask, alright?" The corner of Tao's mouth twitched up in an attempted smile. She turned around to Kris and stood on her toes to whisper in his ear.

    "Have you ever been baptized?" He looked at her in confusion and blinked in confusion. "I'm going to hold you under water for three seconds. I will pull you up again, don't worry," she said. He leaned over to whisper in her ear.

    "What are you planning to do," he asked. They both looked back at the other three who were looking curiously back at them.

     "I'm going to dip you in the water. Then, I am going to make Tao reach forward and grab you. If he doesn't grab you after five seconds, I will pull you back up." He looked at her and nodded. She then leaned into Kyungsoo's ear.

    "Like I told Kris, I am going to dip you in the water. I will tell Kai to reach forward and grab you, and if he doesn't after five seconds, I will. I promise this will work, in one way or another." Kyungsoo nodded with wide eyes.

    Seoyeon knew that they all must have been terrified, but she had to do it. She couldn't think of a way to reassure them or convince them, other than actually doing it. She knew it would work. She only knew because... She closed her eyes and recalled the past.

     "Mom, where are you," Seoyeon called. She opened the bedroom door and scoured the room for her mother. She had just returned from the hospital after being diagnosed a paraplegic -she was injured in a head-on car accident with a large truck. Seoyeon was now the protector of her mother, and herself. This could have been a problem for her, since she suffered frequent -almost constant- fainting spells.

    Where had her mother disappeared to? She couldn't have gone far... How on Earth did she get anywhere, anyway? She heard the faint sound of a dripping faucet and froze in her tracks to listen for where it was coming from. She tiptoed to the bathroom, where sure enough...

    "Mom, what are you doing in here!?" Her mother had somehow managed to get herself into the bathroom and was proceeding to soak motionlessly in the bathtub. Seoyeon hurried forward and dragged her mother out of the tub and got her dressed. Seoyeon worked in silence, then lifted her mom into her wheelchair. No sooner had she done this when a billowing cloud of blackness swirled over her vision and she lost her balance, plunging face-first into the now emptied bathtub. She waited for the thumping sound and the pain, but it never came. Instead, she felt her collar growing tight, then was pulled back to her feet by her shirt. She quickly turned around and saw her mom holding her shirt, staring directly into her eyes.

    "Mom! How did-" As Seoyeon sputtered in disbelief, and somewhat terror, her mother wavered on her feet. Seoyeon quickly reached forward to guide her back into her chair. Later that day, Seoyeon called the doctor and told him about her mother... He said that it was a miracle, but it was not likely to happen again...

    "Seoyeon? Seoyeoooon?" Kris had been calling her name for at least two minutes. She shook her head and looked up at Kris.

    "Sorry..." He smiled and shrugged.

     "It's okay! We should probably hurry, though. I'm sure Tao and Kai are just as wrinkly as us right now," Kris said, holding up his pruny fingers. She looked down at hers and smacked her lips.

    "That's probably a good idea." With that, Seoyeon grabbed Kris's and Kyungsoo's shoulders. "You ready," she mouthed. They both nodded. They crossed their arms over their chests, Seoyeon securing her hands on them. She then shoved them beneath the water and turned to face Tao and Kai. Both of them sat with their eyes wide, staring at the two submerged boys, looking as if they were about to spring into action.

    Tao's arm raised slowly, creating a ripple effect in the water. As Kris and Kyungsoo started to squirm, Seoyeon squeezed their arms, begging them for just a few moments more. Tao feebly reached out for Kris's hand, which Seoyeon discreetly guided toward it. Kris pulled on Tao's hand, rising himself above the water. He gasped, then shook the water from his hair.

    Meanwhile, Kai just stared at Kyungsoo in horror. Kyungsoo started to panic, and ran out of Oxygen. Seoyeon quickly grabbed his shoulders and pulled him back up to gasp for air. He panted and looked at Kai with wide eyes, almost as if he felt betrayed.

    "Are you okay, Dyo," Seoyeon asked, grabbing his hands. He nodded, then violently shook the water from his hair.

     "Seoyeon," Kris said. "How do we know that Tao will be able to move his hand AGAIN?" Seoyeon pondered this for a moment. She walked to Tao and grabbed his hand, staring him deep in the eyes.

    "Tao, you WILL move again." He stared back into her eyes, almost as if she was hypnotizing him. "You WILL move." Tao nodded slowly. Kris gasped.

    "T-Tao!" Kris was ecstatic. Tao looked up at Kris and smiled.

     "Hyung, she fixed me," he whispered. Kris cradled Tao's face.

    "You were never broken." Tao blushed.

    Meanwhile, Kai and Kyungsoo were having a staredown of their own. Kyungsoo was trying not to cry... Seoyeon promised him that it would work... A tear managed to stream down his previously wet cheek. His face was red and blotchy already. He was about to turn away from Kai when he was stopped by a wet and wrinkly hand.

    "D-Dyo, I know it worked." Kyungsoo turned back around and saw Kai's outstretched hand. He gasped.

     "JongIn!" He attacked the boy in a hug, nearly smothering him to death becase he still wasn't able to hug him back. It was a very happy moment for all of them.

    Seoyeon looked upon them and smiled. Kris and Kyungsoo turned to look at her, then noticed her eyes shutting slowly. They instantly realized she was about to faint. They both hurried forward and caught her as her legs gave out from under her and her body went limp.

    "Kyungsoo," Kris said, scooping Seoyeon into his arms. "Stay here with JongIn and Tao. I am going to dress her and then come back to get them, okay?" Kyungsoo nodded. As Kris hurried out of the pond with Seoyeon, dressing himself and her at once, Kyungsoo, Tao and Kai waited impatiently. They all wanted to make sure Seoyeon was okay.
