The Past Is Revealed

Love Me Already!
Kim Jaejoong wasn't sure whether to be amused or thoroughly annoyed. He smiled as he saw Junsu jump around with a bunch of birds, but the game with U Knowand the fact that he has to meet with the person standing in his way left him a bit uncomfortable. He still felt really bad that he only now got feelings for Yunho when he was already too late. HoMin seemed really happy, and he was quickly growing fond of the youngest member of their little friendship group. He looked back at Junsu and laughed. The man had somehow managed to get tangled in some bushes. "Hyyyuuuuuunnnnnnnnggggg! Hellllllllp meeeeeeee! I'm stuck." Junsu pouted as he said the last sentence, and that pout further deepened when Jaejoong laughed at him. "What did you do Jun? I took my eyes off of you for two minutes." He helped Junsu out anyway. The younger sighed. "Thanks Jae hyung. I was playing with the birds, and one flew onto the bush. I dove for it, but it moved right when I landed in the offending plant." He scoffed, making Jaejoong chuckle. "Well alright then Bird Man, if you so happen to see Chang ah anywhere, let me know. I'm supposed to meet with him in a few minutes." Junsu shrugged and nodded, and then he froze. His mouth dropped open. "Um.... hyung? Changmin ah's here..... At least, I think it's him....."Jaejoong was confused, until he turned around that is. His mouth dropped as well. "Hyungs! Hey what's up? Oh Junsu hyung, Yoochun hyung wants you home." The second youngest merely nodded absently and walked of in a daze. Jaejoong wasn't faring much better. 'Now how in the world did this guy get out of the office without U Know noticing anything?' He thought. What he said was, "Hello Chang ah, you look..... nice today." Changmin smiled. "Yeah, I have to. I have another little meeting right after this, and I have I would've been here sooner, but I had some problems with Yunho before leaving." Even if that blush was not there, Jaejoong would've known immediately what the younger meant. He nodded but said nothing. A phone ringing broke te awkward silence that had blown over the area of the park they were at. Changmin got his phone out and groaned. ---You are so in for it when you get back, and the longer I wait, the worse the punishment will get.--- He didn't look at who it was before opening it, but he knew who it was the minute the phone rang. Jaejoong looked curiously at the other man. "What? Who was that?" Changmin just shook his head and mumbled a, "Later alright?" Jaejoong nodded, knowing it had something to do with U Know. Changmin's face went quickly from almost afraid to radient. Jaejoong was a bit taken aback by the sudden change. "Anyways! Let's get down to business!" Changmin said, paused, and then added, "To defeat.... The Huns!" The both of them laughed at that one. Jaejoong almost said that himself, so it made him laugh harder. When the two finally calmed down enough to get coherent words out and foorm them into sentences, they sat down on a nearby bench. "So why did you call me here Chang ah?" Changmin suddenly got nervous and fidgety. Jaejoong gulped. He could tell that he wasn't going to like where this was going. "Well," the younger began, "I wanted to talk to you about something...." Jaejoong nodded and waited patiently for the other to start. The earlier light atmosphere had turned thick and there was so much tension. Finally, after what seemed like forever to Jaejoong and not long enough to Changmin, the silence was broken. "Do you really like my Yunnie? I.... I saw you kissing him at the cafe the other day. I knew you wanted nothing to do with him before we got together, so if Yunnie does leave me for you, then I want to know that at least you're true to him. I want to be sure that you love him; he deserves that. Not some jealousy move that was made because you were used to getting all the attention from him." Jaejoong looked shocked at the vunerable man beside him. He never thought that so much consideration went into this. Changmin looked as if he wanted to know this for a while now. He swallowed the lump in his throat. "I.... I won't lie to you Changmin. At first, it was only because the attention was taken from me and put onto you. But," He quickly added when Changmin glared at him. "But, I stopped to think about why I wanted that attention so badly. Even when I claimed to hate him, I did it because it was my stupid and immature way of keeping his attention on me. I realized that I liked the looks and comments he gave me. However, since I am apparently a twelve year old in a twenty some odd years old's body, my way of coping with that was pushing him away. Every time he said hi in that sweetly soft voice, I had to hide a smile. I was afraid." Changmin was now confused. He knew that Jaejoong was an idiot, but he never knew it was this bad. "Why would you be afraid?" Jaejoong laughed. There was no warmth in it. It was bitter and cold, completely dry and devoid of any emotion. Changmin shivered; he didn't think the usually happy man could make such sounds. "The last time I fell for a guy like that, he was exactly like Yunho, it ended with me in the hospital and attending my best friend's funeral a week later. It started off terrific; I loved him so much. Anyone could tell that he loved me too. We would always go on dates and laugh over the dumbest things." A bitter smile graced the older's beautiful face. It made him look just that; older. Changmin wanted to cry and gather Jaejoong up in his arms, but he didn't. Instead, he asked a question. "Who was it, and what happened to change things?" Jaejoong looked down at his hands, his emotionless smile widening. "His name is Siwon. And what changed? He did." He took a deep breath before starting. "It was about six years ago. We had been going out for three years, and I moved in with him six months prior. One day, I told him that I wanted to go hang out with Junsu, Yoochun, and my closest friend Donghae since I never did that anymore. Since I believed he loved me, I thought that the most he would do was pout and tell me to be home soon. I was wrong." Jaejoong started to shake, and Changmin put his arms around the other's shoulder. He gave him a look, silently saying that he didn't need to go any further. Jaejoong leaned into Changmin's embrace, but he continued. "No, I need to get this out. It's better that I finish. Anyway, he got pissed. He yelled at me, saying that they shouldn't be more important than him. I made the mistake of pointing out that I'd been neglecting them because I spent so much time at home with him. That's when he started throwing things. I was scared, but I held my ground. Looking back on it, I'm glad I did. At the time, however, it was the dumbest thing I could've done. I told him that he didn't control me, and that I was going with my friends whether he liked it or not. I left the house and slammed the door behind me. I couldn't believe that he wasbeing that way. I came back with Donghae since YooSu wanted to go to Yoochun's for a sleepover. Donghae had to go home, and since I walked to them, he offered to take me back. I accepted because I was tired. We arrived at my house, but I didn't notice the lights were on. Donghae walked me to the door. We smiled at each other and he gave me a hug, picking me up and spinning me around as he's always done. Siwon opened the door at that moment. I didn't see it then, but he had a gun in his hands..."Jaejoong started sobbing, and curious people at the park looked over to them. They quickly ran away when they saw the look on Changmin's face. Said man rubbed Jaejoong's back soothingly and pulled him into his lap. He rocked back and forth gently, as if to comfort a child during a thunderstorm. When Jaejoong went from sobbing to letting tears silently fall down his cheeks, he resumed the story. "I was pushed into the house, and as the door slammed shut, I heard three bangs go off. I was completely shocked and threw the door open. Donghae was covered in his own blood. He was spitting it out of his mouth too. Oh God Changmin it was the most horrible thing I've ever seen in my life. He reached his hand out for me, and I rushed over to take it. He ran his other hand over my cheek and smiled at me. 'I probably should've cut the skinship after you got a boyfriend huh? I don't regret it; I've always loved you JaeJae.' Was the last thing he said to me. He leaned up and kissed my cheek. I didn't care about the blood that now outlined the shape of his lips on my cheek. I sobbed as his body grew cold and lifeless. I had forgotten about Siwon standing behind me. I remembered when he roughly grabbed my wrist and threw me into the house again. This time, when he started throwing things, he threw them at me. When he found that I was able to dodge most of it, he grabbed the gun. I begged him for mercy; he had already killed someone that night. He just shouted that it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't gone against his wishes and left. That if I wasn't such a disgusting , then I wouldn't have to be going through all of this. With that, the gun went off, and I felt a stabbing pain in my stomach before passing out." Jaejoong had stopped crying by now, but his eyes were dull and lifeless. It was as if he were Donghae at that moment. Changmin held the other tighter when he began again, this time to finish. "I woke up at the hospital. Junsu and Yoochun were there, and they immediately shouted for the nurse when they saw that I was awake. They had told me that Siwon was in prison and being rehabilitated. Though to this day, neither of them ever knew what for. I never looked into it. After what he did to Donghae, I wanted him dead. He had killed him and almost killed me. Donghae's funeral was the next week. I had been out of the hospital for three days. I had been in there for two weeks. After that incident, I was determined not to lose the other two friends that had become like family to me. Any guy that ever seemed too good to be true from that point on, was. That's why I was afraid of falling for Yunho. When you got with him, I finally noticed how unlike Siwon he really is. I'm sorry for hurting you Chang ah. I'm so sorry." He bagan to cry again, and Changmin just let him. He started humming a song he made in high school. He called it hug, and he used it whenever he wanted to calm down after being upset. Jaejoong eventually fell asleep, and Changmin carried him to his car. He knew Jaejoong only walked to the park unless for extreme emergencies, so he didn't have to worry about that. He drove him to the house he shared with Yunho and texted Onew. ---Hey hyung, something extremely important came up. I won't be able to make it today. I'll reschedule at earliest convenience.--- He got an ok from Onew and carried Jaejoong into the house. U Know was waiting at in the living room smirking. That smirk automatically fell when he saw what, or who rather, Changmin was carrying. Changmin set him down in the bed of the closest guest room. Yunho was back at this point. "What happened to him?" Changmin just shook his his head. "It all makes sense now Yunnie. It all makes sense." Was the only response Yunho got before the youngest went to sit in the chair beside Jaejoong's bed. Tears ran down his face in his sleep, and Changmin could no longer hold back his own. Yunho was completely confused, but he knew better than to inquire about it. He walked to his own room and slept there, deciding to ask about what's going on in the morning.

I liked this story and I loved the homin paring which is why (spoiler alert) .....…........... The fact that Yunho slept with jaejong pissed me off. Since the story had the two endings I couldn't help but feel that changmin just got screwed in both endings regardless of who Yunho ended up with. I honestly felt that Changmin deserved Yunho more even though jaejoong's past it was no excuse for cheating. Honestly I feel I would have liked if Yunho ended up with no one since he also messed up. Jaemin paring for the plot twist lol ( but I still can't help but love homin)
