Huisoo, Jongin
Ever Enough“You broke in??” She yelled at the tip of her lungs, “Like,” She stuttered, almost losing her voice, “Like the real trespassing???”
She learned something new as she grew up next to him. People changed, so did they. Constantly. From being despicable to likeable, from being plain to talkative, awkward to super friendly. Sometimes, she wondered how long they took to become—somewhat—close to each other. Did it change in a day? A week? Or in less than a second? People changed, and so did they. It was just something that they had to learn live with. Slowly, they were getting fine with it. He began to accept the transformation in his present life and she started embracing the change she underwent.
“Actually, no. We came in through the door. It’s too cold outside, and you didn't answer my calls.”
After that night’s outburst from her, he found a new fact about her again. She said she had been by herself for more than six years after a huge war outbreak between her so-called first love and her. She walked by herself since then. Surely, she had tried hooking up with some random men out there with whom Hayoung tried to match her. But, none of them could possibly match her vibes. And she was sorry for being such a brat toward those men, but she could not help but to be a selectively romantic for that case.
And from that, Jongin noticed that Huisoo was an upscale woman who was usually independent until somebody right came along. For a split second, he felt as though she was nobody in a larger scheme of his life. She was just some girl who dared to tie him to her legs to help her sink when she jumped off the bridge. She was courageous enough to gamble her life with something which was still vague. Because when she would get hurt, he was the best place to blame, or worse, he would be the best place for her to return. He usually hated this kind of woman. But the moment he blinked, he was caught between her gaze that always looked like she just arrived from a long time circuit and he started to adore the little sadness it brought. Since then, he knew some things would not be the same anymore. People changed, and so did he.
“But, still..” She stopped halfway.
“Are you mad?” He asked. He knew that it should be a crime to barge into people's house when it was empty. But it was not like he trespassed like a thief break a doorknob or a window shield. He actually knew the password to her house.
“No,” She breathed out casually, and took a few seconds to say, “I'm just tired.”
She did not want to waste her time to be somewhat—friendly to Baekhyun and Minseok who were practically there all along. The point was they were not excluded from this whole trespassing case for they were the actors, too.
She left them downstairs for her bedroom which she had been longing for the whole day. She threw her bag on the chair and dashed off to the bed with a handful of cotton and a bottle of cleansing liquid. She took off her make up and let down her hair that was previously pulled into a bun. She hated today and all the things that turned otherwise than she had expected today. She did not do that well in the hospital today and all people failed her when she actually wished someone would throw themselves to her with open arms. Yes, she flew away to John Hopkins to get her specialist degree but that did not mean she was all flawless in terms of performance. All doctor/people were the same, she would not be any different, but why did people always expect more from her? If everyone saw her as a cheerful and chick young lady, then she would not blame them for that. But, she would not say she did not have her limit, either. People changed, and so did she.
She sat alone with no thoughts passing through her mind. Her body was all wet, wrapped in a yellow bathrobe that smelled so her. Her hair was no exception. Tenderly, she pulled a towel to dry her hair clean before a knock was heard from behind the door.
“It’s me.”
She would not forget how that familiar voice echoed in the room even in a small frequency.
“Wait a second.” She answered, wanting to pull on a proper clothes before allowing him in. But, that crazy five seconds when she stood up too fast, and she either went blind or extremely dizzy that it made her tripped over, creating a noticeable commotion to someone who was practically standing outside the room.
He frowned, bringing his left ear closer to the barrier between him and Huisoo, and asked, “What are you doing?”
She wasted no time to reply while she was struggling to stand on her feet again, appeared to be failure, and she cursed inside her head for that.
“YaH, Han Huisoo,” A knock was heard along with the voice, “I'm coming in.”
“No!” She yelped helplessly, but it was too late because her fiancé was on his way to her direction, straightly scooping her up with his arms with no voice as if it was not a surprise to see her wrapped only in a bathrobe.
He put her off to the bed and straightened his position.
“Baekhyun and Minseok Hyung are leaving,” He tried to project his voice normally, “I’ll just send them off, we’ll talk later after you change.”
She barely could hear what he said since all the possible sound surrounding her was drowned out by the thunder of her heartbeat. The only thing she caught was that him—telling her to put on some clothes.
He came back into the room after a while, hands inside his slack pockets. Only then Huisoo noticed that he was still in his oh-so-tidy business suit.
“You’re supposed to wait for me,” She grumbled softly, referring to tw
