I'm Scared
Change3:00 AM, Sunday. Two days after I met Jess. It was raining hard.
I heard my phone ring.
“Hello?”
“…” No answer.
“Hello?”
“…” Still silence. I was getting pissed. This person calls me at three in the morning and doesn’t even bother to answer.
“Who is this?! If you don’t answer, I swear I’ll-”
“H-hello?”That voice… It’s familiar.
“J-Jess?”
“O-oppa…”
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m s-sorry for c-calling this late…”
“What’s wrong, Jess?”
“Oppa… I’m…scared…”
“Huh?” Just when I asked, a loud boom of thunder echoed. “Oh…”
“C-can you-”
“Come over?”
“Mm.”
“Sure.” I don’t know why, but I wanted to be with her. I wanted to make her feel safe and secure.
“T-thank you...”
“I’ll be there in a few.”
I started driving, but then I realized something: I didn’t know where she lived. Shoot. How stupid of me. I had no choice but to call her.
“Hello?”
“Jess?”
“Yeah…”
“Sorry, but… I forgot to ask… Where do you live?”
She giggled and said, “I thought you’d never ask~”
“Sorry.”
“It’s alright,” she said as she gave me her address.
