Yixing had been stuck reading the same page for the last 10 minutes.

It wasn’t that the information from the textbook was difficult to comprehend.  Not at all.  Most of it was actually review for Yixing, but he liked to be sure of his facts.

The distraction came in the form of text notifications from Yixing’s phone, sounding off and interrupting his focus, effectively making him lose concentration and causing him to read the same page all over again.

He was about halfway through the page when his phone rang again, and Yixing sighed and pushed his book aside.  Grabbing his phone, he opened his inbox to see who had been messaging him so much.

Yixing was tempted to reply with a ‘no, I’m sick’, but that would have been an extremely blatant lie, seeing as he had gotten over his cold a long time ago.  Leaning back in his chair, he lazily texted back an answer.

Sure.

Yixing then put his phone back down on the desk, only to pick it up again when an immediate reply from Luhan came.

Yixing actually laughed aloud at the childish response and couldn’t help imagining the pout that would have been on Luhan’s face.  Seeing that he wasn’t going to get any reading done that night, he walked over to his closet and picked out his clothes for tomorrow. 

After making sure that everything was ready for the morning, Yixing flopped onto his bed and slid under the covers.  He was starting to fall asleep when his phone went off again.
