Intern Shenanigans“Luhan, could you sign this form for me –“
“No, Yixing, I can’t do that for you.”
Luhan looked at Yixing with a grave expression on his face before breaking out into a smile and taking the paper from Yixing’s hands. After a week or so of working together, and with Luhan’s insistence that they just address one another by name, Yixing was starting to understand Luhan’s little quirks.
“I don’t know whether to hate you or to praise you for being so eloquent,” Luhan looked over the sheet of paper that Yixing handed him.
“I’ll take that as your declaration of undying love for me,” Yixing replied, and received a light punch in the gut in return.
“Yeah, well, your eloquence only seems to translate well on paper. Everything else that comes out of your mouth is plain gibberish,” Luhan signed his name and handed the form back to Yixing.
“Oh hey, do you think you can come in on Thursday?” Luhan called out before Yixing made his way out the door.
Yixing thought for a small moment before replying. His shift only consisted of three days a week in the mornings from Monday to Wednesday, because he was still taking a couple of classes at his university on the side.
“Sure,” he replied, and Luhan’s face immediately lit up.
“I can come Thursday morning,” he quickly added afterwards, and Luhan’s face fell into a pout.
“Darn it, I almost had you,” Luhan threw a paper ball in Yixing’s general direction, which Yixing somehow managed to dodge.
“I’ll get you to do an afternoon shift one day!” Luhan’s voice wailed behind Yixing as he scurried out of the room.
