Intern ShenanigansBy the end of Yixing’s first week as an intern, he realized two important things:
1. As an intern, he was lucky that he wasn’t stuck with all the complicated paperwork that Luhan had to do.
2. As an intern, he was unlucky in that he was stuck with all the physical-inducing errands that Jongdae usually had to do.
Small beads of sweat rolled down Yixing’s temple as he pushed forward a heavy cart full of boxes back to the room. Standing on his toes slightly over the towering stack of boxes, he saw ahead that there were two small crowds of people slightly blocking the pathway in front of him. Too out of breath to say anything, Yixing stood awkwardly behind the cart, hoping that they would see him and kindly make way.
“Excuse me, everyone, but could we all stand aside for a moment to let this cart pass through?” a voice sounded to the crowds’ attention, as well as Yixing’s.
The crowd of people then parted away neatly and lined up against the walls, clearing the path for Yixing. He scurried forward as quickly as he could with the hefty cart in front of him, quickly exchanging eye contact with the one who answered his silent plea. Yixing couldn’t help but think to himself a bit that the guy would have been better off being on the cover of a classy magazine rather than parting crowds away in an office building.
“Could I maybe help you with that?” he spoke, and Yixing nearly crashed the cart into a door.
“I’m good, thanks,” Yixing breathed out in response, and turned his attention back to the task that was at hand.
In the back of his mind though, Yixing was slightly hoping that he would encounter the guy again at some point later while he was interning.
A/N: The guy who helps out Yixing was supposed to be Suho, but you can make it out to be whomever you'd like. Sadly, I don't think any further interactions will happen between Yixing and this mystery guy. ^^;
