“Do we really have to go?” Lay asked as he pulled on the tux jacket that you had just brought home

“Yes we do, she is one of my closest friends. We have to go to her engagement party” you said as you tied you hair up in a simple bun

“Okay fine but help me with my tie” he said sitting on the bed behind you.

You had been invited to your best friend engagement party a few week ago and ever since then Lay had been complaining about going, without giving you a reason had it had kind of annoyed you but just threw it over your shoulder as you knew Lay was not going to be able to protest once he saw your dress.

You stood up from your dressing table and turned to Lay, you still had your towel on from the shower you had just had and Lay well he couldn’t keep his eyes off you, god knows how he got dressed. You started to giggle as you tied Lay’s tie for him, giving him a smile and a peck on the cheek when you had finished

“I’m going to go and put my dress on” you said as you walked in to the bathroom with the dress, that you had kept hidden from Lay. Lay on the other had was still sat on the bed with a huge smile on his face because of the peck on the cheek he got of you.

“babe I’m gonna go and make sure the car is ready” Lay shouted once he got out of his daze and moved down to the front of the apartment building where a limo was waiting

“Hey Lay” a familiar voice called “how long do you think she is gonna be?” the voice asked

“Hey Kris, I wouldn’t say to long she only has to put her dress on and shoes on as well as lock up so not to long” Lay answered Kris and he walked to stand by him and leaning on the bonnet just like he was.

“Have you seen her dress yet?” Kris asked, Lay had known that Kris had taken you out to go shopping for the dress and had even helped in picking out the right dress, but it had still mad Lay a bit jealous of the older

“no I haven’t seen it yet this is going to be the first time” Lay replied looking toward the front door of the apartment building

“ohh just you wait the one I picked out was made to impress you” Kris said moving from the bonnet and to inside the limo and firing it up like he knew that you were going to walk out the door the second the limo’s engine purred.

“wow” was all that Lay said when you walked through the doors of the building and all you could do was blush a bright red, that showed through your light make-up “you…you look…wow” Lay tried again but just couldn’t continue, the dress you had on was a pale blue color and the skirt of the dress went down to just past knee high and the top of the dress was thin spaghetti strap with a small baby blue rose on it, the dress its self-had sequin flowers going down one side and it just suited you so right.  

“Lay?” you asked tilting you head to the side, an action which brought a huge smile to his lips and for him to come up to you, pick you up and spin you around “Lay put me down we have to go” you giggle at him as he puts you down and spun to face the limo pulling you with him inside it.

-later on at the party-

You were talking to all the people around the hall with Lay walking around also taking to people. After a little while Lay came up to you while you were at the bar buying another drink

“Babe, you having fun?” he asked as he wrapped his arm around you pulling you closer to him and pulling you over to a group of boy that you had been him taking to beforehand. “Guys this is my girl now can we go?” he asked the boys, you recognized a few but not all of them

“nope I want to get to know her” one of the boys said as he walked up to you with a big smile, one you returned a little before looking up at Lay, the boy came closer and you hear a low growl coming from Lay’s chest

"you know he has growled at every guy who has gone near you since you get here" another boy said and he also walked closer to the both of you. you were now bright red at the though of Lay being that protective over you. 

“Lay” you whispered and the growl got slightly louder. You didn’t know what to do so you just pulled him away from the boys and to a table where no one had taken “Yixing calm down okay?” you said and you rubbed his arms trying to calm you down

“sorry babe” he said after a while, you knew it was because of what the boy had said, but you didn't mind. You smiled and pulled him slightly closer to the boys and pulled him down in to a deep loving kiss before pulling him out the building to the limo where Kris is waiting to drive them back to the apartment building.  

"i love it when your protective over me" you smiled at Lay as you both got back in to the apartment
