epilogue: clarification // Q&A
Walking on Margins[Author's Note: 14/04/14] I apologize for any unanswered questions that the epilogue has supplied you guys. I know some of you were confused, and I'm glad you mentioned it in the comments or personally messaging me. Regardless, I feel the responsibility as the author to clear some things up. I know that as an author, I shouldn't leave any of my readers confused, especially when it's the ending. So without further ado, I'll begin analyzing the epilogue, so to speak.
The epilogue starts off in Jong In's POV. He recalls how Hana looks when they first meet, and then he begins summarizing his feelings towards her. Jong In understands the relationship between him and Hana. He is her sun, something Hana cannot live without. (We can see this when Hana is willing to save Jong In and risk her life for him. She'd rather die with him, then die without him.) However, Hana is his moon, something not as essential for living as the sun is to humans. To put it shortly, Jong In is comforted by Hana's company, but doesn't necessarily need her as much as she needs him.
I realized from reading several of your comments that you may be confused by the metaphors used in the epilogue. (Sehun is the Earth, Hana is the moon and Jong In is the sun.) Yes, Jong In blatantly said he was the sun, Hana was the moon, and Sehun was the Earth. Look at this from a metaphorical point of view – the Earth (aka Sehun) will always be next to the moon (aka Hana), such as how Sehun will
