You have not been listening to the conversation. He scribbled his name into the plastic bags. “What if someone from the cooking club uses your ingredients?” You asked them. “Don’t worry. No one touches anything that has D.O.’s name on it,” Lay told you. “Except for Suho-hyung,” Chen laughed. “He steals D.O.’s food all the time,” he told you. D.O. went to the direction of the cooking club right after. “How about these?” Kai asked, referring to the bags he was carrying. “Let’s put these in my room for the mean time,” Lay told him. “Joo Ri, did you get what I asked?” Chen asked. “Oh, yeah. It’s among the food bags that D.O. took,” you told him. “Oh, okay. I’ll just get them tomorrow,” he said. The boys went to their dorms while you went to yours. Ji Min screamed like crazy when she heard the story behind the balloons. The two of you met up with the team later around dinner. They had insisted that you eat with them during meals. “Where are all the stuff?” Chanyeol whispered. “It’s in Lay’s room,” you whispered back. “What are you whispering about?” Suho asked. “Nothing,” you answered. “Eh?” Suho muttered disbelievingly. “I was just asking her if she knows any beautiful girls,” Chanyeol lied. “Then you should come to me. I only said meat because Chanyeol said fish,” Chen shrugged. “A mermaid is a fish,” Chanyeol told him. “No, idiot! A mermaid is a monster, a fish is an animal. And why am I explaining this to you anyway? Why are we even having this conversation?” Baekhyun muttered. “I told you guys, it’s because of Chen-hyung,” Sehun said, meaning to annoy Baekhyun. “Aish, you both shut up,” Baekhyun said, pointing at him and Chanyeol. “Here we go again,” Suho laughed. You laughed along and shook your head. You were about to bring your attention back to your food when your eyes landed on D.O. You looked at him with both a surprised and confused look. “What?” D.O asked when he saw you looking at him weirdly. You weren’t really paying attention to him before which is why you only noticed it now. “Why are you eating?” You asked innocently. Chen and Chanyeol laughed at your question. “Just because I’m a vampire doesn’t mean I can’t have anything else besides blood,” D.O. answered. “Oh. I didn’t know vampires eat food,” you told him. “Technically they don’t. Human food does nothing to their bodies. The nutrients their bodies need only come from blood alone. But D.O here has a weird fascination on human food. That’s why he loves to cook,” Baekhyun explained. “He wants to be a chef,” Chanyeol told you, laughing. “Shut up!” D.O hissed. “His cooking is really good! I’m taking cooking lessons from him,” Lay added. “Why, D.O.-sshi, that’s so unexpected,” Ji Min commented, but you can see that her eyes were sparkling at the new information about D.O. “I know right. He looks scary and all but he’s actually like a fussy old mother. He always cooks for us and nags when we litter around,” Chen told you. “Will you guys shut up?!” D.O. yelled. His face was a light shade of red, though you couldn’t figure if it was out of irritation or embarrassment or probably both. “Oh, he’s shy,” Chanyeol sniggered. “One more word from you and I’m gonna freaking twist your neck,” D.O. snarled. “Ya! Don’t forget I’m still older than you,” Chanyeol said. “Easy, D.O.-ya. What the guys said were compliments. You really are a good cook,” Lu Han said, patting D.O.’s back, though he was also laughing. “I love it when D.O.-hyung cooks,” Sehun said which made D.O.’s face all the more redder. “Look at him turning all red,” Kai laughed. “He’s so cute when he’s embarrassed,” Baekhyun said. “I’m not embarrassed!” D.O. yelled, now looking like a tomato. “Your face doesn’t say so otherwise,” Xiumin laughed. “No, actually, he just had way too much blood today,” Suho kidded. “Aish,” the guys grumbled. “That was so corny. Just stop making jokes, Suho-hyung and just be the responsible hyung you always are. You leave the jokes to us,,” Chanyeol told him. You shook your head as you laughed along with them. Meal time is as chaotic and as noisy as always. Well, what was I expecting? I don’t think these guys ever had a peaceful lunch. After dinner, you went directly to Lay’s room as soon as Suho was out of sight. You and the guys have agreed to make Suho’s banner there. Ji Min came to help a little since Lay said it was fine, but in truth, she just wanted to take a peek at their room. “Never did I imagine that I would get to be in one of the soccer members’ rooms. Honestly though, you were also excited to be in Lay’s room. You wondered what his room looked like, what kind of things Lay likes and the other things you’ll find in there that would give you an idea about the kind of person Lay is. Oh yeah. I’d probably, no, definitely, find a devil in there, you frowned when you remembered that Lu Han would be there since he is roommates with Lay along with Sehun. “Room thirty-eight. There it is.” You can already hear loud voices inside even before you reached the door. You gave a soft knock and saw Lay’s smiling face as he opened the door a few seconds later. “Come in. The others also greeted. Everyone was there except for Xiumin and D.O. and of course Suho. The room structure was the same as the girls’ dorm. They had pushed the bed in the middle to adjoin the bed in the corner near the windows, creating a space on the floor where Baekhyun and Kai had started laying out the banner materials. “YA! Get off my bed!” Lu Han was yelling as he pushed Chanyeol and Chen away from what seems to be his bed. Chen and Chanyeol just laughed and did a high five. It looked like they had really intended to annoy Lu Han. “No one touches my bed!” Lu Han continued as he dusted his bed, as though Chen and Chanyeol had made it dirty just by sitting there. “Why are you so stingy? It’s just a bed,” Chen grumbled and sat on his bed again with Chanyeol. “You two get off my bed now or I’m gonna kill you!” Lu Han sizzled, looking really pissed. Chen and Chanyeol scrambled off his bed laughing and hid behind you and Ji Min. “Lu Han-hyung has this pet peeve when it comes to his bed. He doesn’t want anybody on it except him,” Chanyeol told you. You half-frowned half-snorted at Lu Han. You sat on the floor beside Baekhyun. They had already pieced together a few large sheets of drawing paper to make a long banner. “And why are you all here?” Lu Han nagged. “Because we’re making a banner for gramps,” Chen answered matter-of-factly. “They are making the banner,” Lu Han said, pointing at you, Lay, Kai and Baekhyun. “Why are you making that banner here anyway? Do it at the cafeteria or the student lounge.” “But we can’t, hyung. Suho-hyung might see it,” Sehun said. “And even if he doesn’t the other students will see it and word will spread fast and our surprise wouldn’t be a surprise anymore,” Chanyeol added. “Why does it have to be in this room? Do it somewhere else like D.O. and Kai’s room. There’s more space there since there’s only the two of them using that room,” Lu Han groused. “Well, we can’t. Suho-hyung has this habit of going into their room to chat with D.O. And obviously we can’t do it in our room since I and Xiumin-hyung are roommates with him. And Chanyeol and Baekhyun’s room is way too messy, you can’t find a single thing in there,” Chen answered. “Blame it on that untidy giant beside you,” Baekhyun said, referring to Chanyeol. “Like you’re not messy yourself! You always leave your clothes lying around I often trip on,” Chanyeol retorted. “That’s only when I’m tired from practice,” Baekhyun reasoned. “Which is like, every time,” Chanyeol shot back. “Aish. Why did our room become our only choice,” Lu Han sighed amidst the commotion as he gathered his blanket and placed it in the laundry basket. “Ya, you don’t have to go that far,” Chen reacted. Lu Han just ignored him and even removed his bed sheet and also dumped it into the laundry. He got a clean bed sheet and blanket from one of the closets and fixed them on his bed. You frowned again before turning your attention away from his annoying figure. “Are you sure it’s okay for us to be here? I mean are girls allowed in the boys’ dorm?” You asked the others. “Pssh! Don’t worry about it. No one would report it,” Chanyeol patted your shoulder. “What?! So we’re really not allowed to be here!” “Technically, girls are allowed in the boys’ dorm. You can like stay at the lobby or roam the hallways but you’re not allowed to be inside the rooms. But, that’s just in writing. Nobody really cares about that rule here since even our dorm head invites his girlfriend in occasionally. So don’t worry. But the girls’ dorm is different because you have a strict dorm head,” Baekhyun told you. “I didn’t know we have a dorm head,” you muttered. “Oh, I forgot to tell you. Choi So Yeon is also our dorm head,” Ji Min informed you. “Choi So Yeon? The Student Council Vice President?” Chanyeol asked. “Yeah.
