“So, do you prefer Korea or The States?” you ask him and bit into your sandwich

“Definitely Korea.” he said without hesitant

“What made you came back Yeol?” you glance at him

You did Hyo Ri, I wanted to find you. He shrugs “I don’t wanna go to college in the U.S.”

“I think it’d be fun.”

“Tch, I like being here better.” With you. Chanyeol noticed how you kept smiling for the entire day and kept wondering why “Yah, why are you smiling the entire time today?”

“Huh?” you look at him “Nothing.” you chuckled

“Yeah right, look at you, you’re practically glowing.”

“Then what? Should I pout?” you purse your lips

Chanyeol can’t help but to find you cute “Come on, tell me.”

“Kris is coming back tonight.”

“Oh…” his shoulders flattened when he heard you say that. He wanted to ask you out on a dinner and now he knows the answer won’t be a yes

“Oh…?” you gave him a weird look “It should be ‘Oh!’” you smiled

“So, are you going to go and welcome him home tonight?”

“Definitely, God, I miss him so much.” you close your eyes

“How much?”

“All my the fibre on my body.” you breathed and Chanyeol knows how he had already lost before he began “It’s time to get to class.” you look at the watch “I’ll see you tomorrow.” you got up and waved

Chanyeol stared at the can in his hand and crush it before throwing it on the ground,

So much for coming back…

The entire day, your heart kept beating in a fast pace; trying to wait as patient as you can till Kris would come back but it felt like years. After showering, you slipped on a grey sweater with faded jeans and flats. You know Kris doesn’t mind that you’re not wearing the bets outfit in your closet because he prefers the simple you.

“Time to get going.” you smiled into the mirror

You arrived at the airport slightly earlier and decided to eat there instead. Almost every few minutes you would check on your watch and calculate the remaining minutes for the plane to land and it had become unbearable.

The moment you look up, the door opened and a lot of people came out of the gate. Your eyes search over the sea of people but you couldn’t find Kris anywhere. He said he was coming back today, so where is he? You walk across the people but none was him.

“Looking for someone?” that voice… That certain voice that you barely heard through the phone, the voice you missed so much

You hesitantly turn around to meet a warm and gentle gaze on yourself “Kris…” you called out his name ever so softly

“Miss me?” he smiled

You throw your arms around him and he embraced you back, his body was warm against yours and your grip on his back was tight “So much.” you almost cried; tears of joy they would say

“I miss you more.” none of you let go of the hug; let people stare, let them look cause right now nothing else matters but how both of you feel

“How was Paris?” you chuckle half-heartily
