He looks into your eyes “You do know what you’re talking about right?”

You chuckled softly “Of course I do.”

“You’re not gonna regret this?”

“So far, I never regret anything with you.”

“Are you sure?” he lays you down gently on the bed again. Instead of an answer; you kissed him and he smiled “Doesn’t this mean I am written to be your husband?”

“And why is that?” you laughed

“Well, you did say you’re giving yourself to your husband only, so this is an assurance I would marry you someday. Is it not?” he smiled slyly

“Is this how we make promises?”

“A promise that is indeed should be kept.” he kisses the back of your hand “I’ll try to be gentle.”

“I don’t bet on that.”

“Do you now?” you nodded “Close your eyes.”

“Why?”

“Do it.” he whispered and your eyes fluttered close

You felt his hot breath on your neck, and it came nearer to your face and his lips rested on your head when he presses a soft kiss on your temple. You waited for something but it didn’t happen and you opened your eyes to see Kris smiling affectionately at you.

“I thought you were…” you swallowed “You know.”

He chuckles softly “Your hands are shaking.” he gestures

You look down at your shaky hands and flushed red “But it doesn’t mean I’m not ready.” you protested

“And it doesn’t mean you are either.” he leans close and pulled you to face him “You’re so beautiful, so pure and delicate. I wouldn’t want to change this Hyo Ri whom I see right now; no matter how much I want her.” he nuzzles his nose with yours “It’s fine to me but I would like to keep you this way, and I know you do too.” he curls the loose strand of your hair behind your ear

You blink several times before crashing yourself against him to give him a tight embrace “Why do you have to be so perfect?” you whispered against shoulder

Kris was surprised as his eyes rounded but a smile came to his lips “I’ll always try to… For you.” his answer made you feel like melting in his arms “Now, I thought you said you were tired, go and have that nap of yours.”

“What about you?”

“I need to do something first, go.” Kris placed a gentle kiss on your forehead

You smiled and pulled up the covers before drifting off to sleep. Kris chuckles and shakes his head before getting up from the bed and stood in front of the balcony; his head turns to see your sleeping figure on the bed.

“Why do I have to leave so soon…”
