Yoona watched as Taecyeon grilled at the meat.

She observed as he turned the meat over and over until it was gaining its colour.

She studied his movements as he would place the meat on her plate.

“Thanks.” She muttered quietly before taking a bite.

“How is it?” Yoona looked up and met Taecyeon’s curious gaze.

“It’s good.” She spoke softly.

And there was silence.

The two would occasionally try to steal glances of other, but neither had the courage to start a conversation.

Yoona cleared . Taecyeon looked up at her.

“Sorry for what happened at my university.” Yoona’s voice was low. She knew she had to say something and this was the best thing she came up with.

“Don’t worry about it.” He gave her a small but cold smile.

She didn’t understand what was wrong. When it came to Seulong, she was so comfortable. She could talk as much as she wanted.

No, but that was Seulong. Her cousin. Taecyeon is complete stranger to her.

No, but still. When she met up with his friends she was never this awkward. She loved Kwon and his crazy dances. Changmin was an amazing singer. And Jinwoon was simply a god when he played the guitar.

Yoona paused in her thoughts. Why was she thinking about Seulong’s friends? She gave a guilty look towards Taecyeon. But thankfully he was facing down to his plate eating.

Maybe it was Taecyeon’s fault. Maybe he was just a socially awkward person. Yoona shrugged at that thought. But even if he was, shouldn’t Yoona make an attempt to make them feel comfortable?

Taecyeon cleared his throat this time. Yoona turned to face him this time.

“Is it okay if I drop home after this?” Yoona gave a slow nod. “I just have to go back to work.”

Yoona did not know why she felt sad at Taecyeon’s statement. When he asked for her attention, she thought he was going to ask her something. Well something about her. Not this.

She slumped slightly and continued eating.

 “I will be back.” Taecyeon suddenly as he got up. Yoona nodded, her eyes following his direction, watching him where he was going.
