Yoona did not know what Taecyeon was going to do during the picnic. Generally in picnics, people talk, play games, there is always some form of activity.

Yoona watched Taecyeon play with his fingers. There was obviously something on his mind.

“Is there something wrong?” Yoona asked softly. Seeing this side of Taecyeon was bothering her.

Taecyeon stayed silent.

So there is something bothering him.

She patiently waited for him to answer.

Taecyeon turned to face her. There was something wrong in his eyes, but also an inexplicable gratitude that Yoona did not understand.

“Yoona-ssi, if we were not in this arrangement would things still be the way they are?” Taecyeon spoke softly and looked away.

If their grandparents were not friends, then there would be no promises, no marriages, no Taecyeon. She would probably be Jessica and Seohyun now talking about things far from marriage. She would have a life without Taecyeon and perhaps only get married after she thought that she found the right one.

But who would be the right one for her?

She often thought that Taecyeon was perfect for her, but was it because she was in the arrangement? Would Taecyeon still be perfect in her eyes if they were not bound?

“Maybe not...” Her voice was soft. She was scared to answer, but she needed to answer. For her own sake.

She loved Taecyeon. There was no denying on that fact.

But would she still love him if she met Taecyeon elsewhere? Taecyeon probably would not have made the effort to understand her and meet with her every weekend.

“What do you think?” She asked quietly. The silence was heavy for both of them, but Yoona felt that it had been truly bothering Taecyeon. She would rather face it and talk it out rather than run away from the problem.

The wind blew past them. They could hear the soft laughter of the children playing.

“I am grateful that our grandparents have been friends.” Taecyeon spoke after the long pause. Yoona looked at him. “I am truly grateful.”

Yoona noticed a small smile on his face. She understood that Taecyeon was perhaps thinking on the same lines as her.

“There are times when I wake up and fall back down afraid to get out of dreamland.” Taecyeon spoke softly. “But now, I feel happy and greet the day with a smile.” Yoona was not sure where Taecyeon was going with this.

“I feel different. I feel complete.” She was listening to every Taecyeon was saying. She now understood where Taecyeon was going.
