Path of the arranged marriage
Yoona looked over the Han River. It looked beautiful. More beautiful than normal.
Was it because it was in the early morning? Or maybe because she was with Taecyeon? She did not know the answer.
Her thoughts rewinded a bit to the place where they were sharing a moment by the deukbokki stand.
The owner had called out to Taecyeon to pay for the bowl of deukbokki that Taecyeon had. Taecyeon had forgotten about it. The two suddenly jumped back, in embarrassment.
Did it really happen? Were they really lost in the other’s eyes?
Even the thought of doing such was embarrassing.
It took a lot of courage for both of them to resume talking. But how could they? It felt as if the awkwardness had seeped in between them.
They kept walking in silence. They kept walking talking whatever road. But for the first time in months, the silence felt heavy. And neither knowing what to do in the unsettling situation.
“Are you cold?” It was the first words shared between the two after the incident.
Yoona looked at Taecyeon. Although she was wearing his jacket, she shivered slightly.
“Should I drop you home then?” Taecyeon asked worriedly. He did not want her to get sick. But he suddenly noticed Yoona’s slumped stated and assumed that she did not want to go home. He smiled at the small aspect. He, himself, did not want to send Yoona home. He wanted to make the most of the time he had. No matter how tired he would be when he would reach Busan, but every moment with Yoona was worth it.
“No. I am fine.” Yoona take a deep breath. She did not want to go home. The river looked beautiful. The moment was peaceful.
Taecyeon took a deep breath as well. The air was fresh. There was no one around. It was so quiet but he liked it. It was free from the noise and bustling city.
He sat on the grass. Watching the river was...refreshing. He felt Yoona’s presence sit beside him.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Taecyeon muttered softly.
