Summary: What would you do if the one you loved vanished from your life in just one day? What if you were given another chance to love him again?

“BOOM~! BLASHH! AHHHHHHHHHHHH~! BROOOOM!”

Fire was cracking all over the office building in South Korea. Things in the building started catching fire and crashing down. People were seen panicking to evacuate out of the building. No one knew what exactly happened, or even what caused the fire to break out. “AHHHHHHH SAVE MEE!” a female voice could be heard screaming from inside one of the office rooms. A man dashed in to save the woman, the firemen tried to stop him from running in but to no avail. As they continued to extinguish the fire, the man immerged out from the burning inferno. However, before he could even exit out of the building, the metallic door that was the door to the building collapsed. He pushed the lady away and got hit instead. 



“A suicide bombing incident in one of South Korea’s most populated office building has caused 100 casualties and 2 deaths. There is this one very reputa.. PST!” Kyuhyun turned off the television immediately. He curled into a ball and wept, blaming himself for not being there. He wanted to die in Sungmin’s place, he just had to leave him 2 days before their wedding. It had hurt Kyuhyun so much. He wept and prayed that Sungmin would materialize infront of him, scolding him for being such a baby crying like that. But of course Kyuhyun knows he wouldn’t.

It has been exactly half a year since Sungmin left Kyuhyun’s life, the past 6 months had been a total torture for him. Kyuhyun would lock himself in his apartment skipping all his meals, and not going to work. It was a miracle that he would actually still manage to maintain his job, why? Because he has a wonderful boss/ (high school friend) that loves him like his own son. Leeteuk would visit Kyuhyun every day, cooking food for him and cheering Kyuhyun up. It hurt Leeteuk as much as it had hurt Kyuhyun when that fateful accident happened. Leeteuk was Sungmin’s childhood friend and Kyuhyun’s friend since they were in high school. 

One day Leeteuk went to visit Kyuhyun at his house as per norm, he saw a nicely shaved Kyuhyun and he actually looked lively. Leeteuk wondered what had happened when Kyuhyun asked if he could start working again. Leeteuk immediately agreed thinking that maybe Kyuhyun had decided to move on. 



A month later.

“Dringgggggg~!” Kyuhyun woke up sleepily and hit the snooze button, and did his daily routine. He picked up Sungmin’s picture and kisses him greeting a good morning; he then washed up and went for work. 

“KYUHYUN! YOU’RE HERE!!!” A very hyper Ryeowook greeted him. “Ne wookie-ah why are you so hyper today?” Ryeowook smiled and just pushed him into the kitchen. “Kyu-ah we have got an order and he specifically requested for you to deliver it.” Kyuhyun just nodded. “So hyung what time is the order due?” Leeteuk hurried to check the order and smiled “4pm today, Lee Donghae 137 SM street, transportations would be easy for you right? Since you drive a car and you have an excellent road sense.” Kyuhyun nodded and walked out of the kitchen.

“Ding Dong!” 

“Delivery from Super Sapphire Blue Restaurant!” 
Kyuhyun stood patiently outside of the door waiting for it to open. When the door finally opened it revealed a man on wheelchair and it shocked Kyuhyun totally. “SUNGMIN?” Kyuhyun placed down the food and immediately hugged the wheelchair man. That man struggled in his embrace. “I’m sorry I think you’ve gotten the wrong person.. I’m Lee Donghae.” Kyuhyun didn’t want to believe so he continued hugging the guy until he heard a cough from behind the door. 

“Hyukjae hyung?” 
“Kyuhyun?” 

“What are you doing here Kyu?” Hyukjae asked as he took the food which Kyuhyun had placed on the floor and pushed Donghae into the living room. “Delivering food isn’t it obvious?” Hyukjae just nodded. “I’ll go get the utensils.” Hyukjae watched as Donghae pushed himself into the kitchen before looking back at Kyuhyun. “I never knew you had a sibling.” Hyukjae looked at Kyuhyun nervously before replying that they were cousins. Kyuhyun looked at Hyukjae suspicious before deciding that he had to go back to the restaurant. 

As Kyuhyun left, he couldn’t help but to look back. It was as though Sungmin was really there, Kyuhyun just shrugged that feeling off and entered his car. Not knowing that there was actually someone watching as he left.

The next time they met was totally accidental. Kyuhyun had just ended work when he noticed this man on wheelchair, carefully wheeling himself across the heavy traffic. As soon as he started wheeling himself on the pavement, Kyuhyun immediately got out of his car and approached the man. 

“Do you need help?” Donghae looked up and shook his head. “It’s fine..” He replied and wheeled himself away. Kyuhyun trailed behind him until Donghae stopped suddenly. “Why are you following me?” Donghae asked being totally annoyed. “How about I give you a lift home?” Kyuhyun smirked and pushed Donghae straight to his car. “YAH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” Kyuhyun just kept quiet and continued pushing. “Yah! I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!” Kyuhyun just simply replied, “Driving you home.” 

When Kyuhyun had reached his car he opened the front door seat and lifted Donghae up lightly. Donghae tried to pry Kyuhyun’s hands off while Kyuhyun easily placed him on his car seat and strapped him to the seat. “YA! THIS IS CALLED KIDNAP OK!?!” Kyuhyun closed the door lightly and folded the wheelchair, before getting into the drivers’ seat himself. “This is not kidnap; this is called giving a ride home.” Donghae just scuffed, “If I remembered correctly, I didn’t agree on it.” 

Donghae continued to make loads of noise inside Kyuhyun’s car while the latter just drives without saying anything more. He acts totally like Sungmin… “Ah, we’ve arrived!” Donghae sighed in relief. Kyuhyun got out of his car and went to take the wheelchair, carrying Donghae up and sitting him yet again on the wheelchair. “Thank you Kyu-ah..” Donghae said it so softly that Kyuhyun could not even make up what he was saying. Kyuhyun walked up to the huge gate and pressed the door bell. 

Shortly after a panicky Hyukjae emerged out of the house shouting, “Sung… Kyuhyun? What are you doing here again?” Donghae started panicking silently. “Sung? Sungmin?” Kyuhyun turned and looked at the suddenly very silent Donghae. “Sungmin?” Hyukjae decided to step in again. “I’m sorry I was actually expecting my friend Sungjin I just didn’t expect you to be here with Donghae hyung..” 

Donghae didn’t know what to do, he panicked even more in his heart. “Hyukjae!” a shout came from behind them and Donghae let out a sigh of relief. “Sungjin!” Sungjin pushed Kyuhyun away and wheeled Donghae into the house. “See ya Kyuhyun.” Hyukjae pushed Donghae and Sungjin followed in, leaving Kyuhyun still staring at blank space. As soon as the door closed, Kyuhyun snapped out of his trance and entered his car sobbing. Sungmin.. I miss you… Come back will you… I need you Minnie.. Come back.. Donghae, Eunhyuk and Sungjin who were staring out of the window, watching as the car slowly drove away. Donghae couldn’t help but feel guilty, it hurt him to see Kyuhyun like that.

“Hyung..”

“Hyuk, don’t start..”

“YA! CHO KYUHYUN WAKE UP!” Someone was kicking Kyuhyun, trying to wake the lad up. “YA! IF YOU DON’T WAKE UP I’LL FIRE YOU!” Kyuhyun woke up grumpily. “Go away leeteuk hyung.. I don’t wanna go to work today..” Leeteuk pulled him up and sat down next to him. “Cho Kyuhyun! I thought you were long over Sungmin’s death already!?” Growling angrily. “Hyung! I never said I did!!” Leeteuk didn’t want to listen to any more of Kyuhyun’s whinning and pushed him into the toilet to wash himself up.

Kyuhyun reluctantly washed up and shaved, I miss him… Leeteuk waited outside for Kyuhyun patiently for him outside, pondering to himself if he should tell Kyuhyun about the incident



*flashback*

“HELLO! Welco--- Sungmin?” A man opened the glass door of Super Sapphire Blue Restaurant and Leeteuk was just greeting customers as usual. His eyes immediately flew down and saw the man on the wheelchair and rushed over to him. “Who’s Sungmin?” Donghae asked and pushed himself to a table while Leeteuk moved the chair away. “Oh.. I’m sorry.. My name is Leeteuk, and I will serve you today. What would you like to eat sir?” Donghae looked up the menu and order a pumpkin pie, and pumpkin soup. 

Aren’t those what Sungmin always order when he comes here? “OK! Right away!” Leeteuk awkwardly and speed walked into the kitchen, reading out the orders. He left the kitchen and walked out, “Mind if I sit here?” Donghae looked up and smiled. “Sure.” Leeteuk sat down opposite Donghae and started talking to him. 
“So.. what’s your name?” 
“Lee Donghae..” 
“Ah, Donghae-shii how old are you?” 
Donghae looked up as his food was served, had Leeteuk-hyung found a new waiter? He doesn’t look familiar wait nevermind. He softly thanked the waiter and turned his attention back to Leeteuk. “I’m 25.” Sungmin-shi! Leeteuk thought to himself. “Ah.. so what do you work as?” 

“I don’t have a--- LEE TEUK HYUNG!”

*end of flashaback*



Leeteuk blinked blankly at Kyuhyun who pulled him out of his thoughts. “Oh Kyunnie, shall we go?” Kyuhyun nodded reluctantly. “Hyung.. could a person really look so alike?” Leeteuk was shocked by his question. “Huh? Why suddenly ask this Kyuhyun ah.” Don’t tell me they met.. “Nothing hyung.. What if Sungmin is still alive, and his avoiding me..” Omo they really met? “Kyuhyun-ah.. if he really is alive, he will one of this days come and visit you again.” Leeteuk assured Kyuhyun like a mother calming a crying child. “Hyung.. how can you be so sure? Do you know something I don’t?” Leeteuk was shocked. “N..noo.. W-why would I.. haha.” Leeteuk laughed awkwardly. 

I guess I should wait a little longer before I tell him..

They never really expected that they would meet again, but fate brought them together again. Kyuhyun was taking a walk in the park, he stopped at the pond and leaned onto the bridge railing looking into the water as it showed his reflection in it. He sighed and thought about all the times he spent with Sungmin, tears just rolled down his cheeks dripping down onto the pond water. His hands flew up to cup his face as he cried his lungs out. 

Little did he know that from a far there was someone sited on a wheelchair watching him. That guy watched as Kyuhyun cried and felt guilty for not telling him his identity. Kyuhyun-ah.. just a while more.. Just let me continue watching you from afar.. The person just watched until Kyuhyun had walked away, before he turned himself and pushed himself away. 

He was about to reach the traffic light when he felt that someone was pushing him. He turned around and saw Kyuhyun standing behind him, smiling down at him. “Donghae-sii let me fetch you home.” Kyuhyun said warmly, Donghae couldn’t help but feel warmth in his chest. He just nodded and allowed Kyuhyun to push him to his car. 

The journey back to Donghae’s house was deafening, neither of them knew what to say to each other. Kyuhyun couldn’t take it anymore so he decided to start a topic. “Donghae-sii. What do you work as?” “I don’t have a job.” Donghae replied quietly. “Maybe I shouldn’t tell you just yet..” Donghae mumbled under his breath, but Kyuhyun heard it none the less. “Tell me what?” Kyuhyun looked at the lad blankly. “Nothing. Just continue driving.”Donghae replied. Kyuhyun nodded and kept quiet the entire remaining journey back.

“Thank you so much for the ride home Kyuhyun-sii.” Donghae said as Kyuhyun opened the passenger’s seat and carried him onto his wheelchair. “You’re welcome Donghae.” Kyuhyun smiled and wheeled Donghae into the gate of his house and rang the bell. Hyukjae stepped out of the within a split second. “Annyeong Kyu! It seems like you are with Sung.. I mean Donghae hyung again.” Hyukjae said as he sees his dongsaeng outside his house. 

“May I enter?” Kyuhyun asks quietly as he pushed Donghae into the house. 
“Of course you may!” Hyukjae replied without thinking. “Hyung why not you go take a bath, you’ve been out the entire day!” he said to Donghae. He nodded and pushed himself into his room. 

“Say. That guy, Donghae he is Sungmin right?” Hyukjae looked at Kyuhyun not knowing how to answer that question. “Silence means consent.” Kyuhyun probed again. Just then, Sungjin opened the house door and walked in. “Sungmin hyung! I bought your favourite pumpkin pie for – What are you doing here!” Sungjin asked in shock. Kyuhyun turned and looked at Hyukjae who suddenly stoned. “I was right! Why did you guys have to hide such things from me! Hyukjae and Donghae hyung!” Kyuhyun stared at the two elder boys in front of him. “How do you know I’m Donghae?” Sungjin asked. “I’ve seen you before, you go to the same high school as Sungmin and I.” Kyuhyun replied. 

Just then Sungmin rolled himself out from the bathroom, looking refreshed. “Hyuk, I’m don---“ He was cut off when he was engulfed by Kyuhyun’s warm arms. “Min.. Don’t ever leave me again.. Pleasee…” Kyuhyun begged silently. Sungmin looked at both Hyukjae and Donghae and decided to open up to the man infront of him. He wrapped his arms around the latter and brought himself closer to him. 

“Hyung! Can you not PDA in front of us!?” Donghae shrieked. Sungmin glared at Donghae and shot back. “As though you and Hyukjae, don’t make a din every night.” Hyukjae blushed and Kyuhyun smirked and pushed Sungmin into his room. He lifted him up and placed him on the bed. “I missed you Minnie…” Kyuhyun said as he laid down on the bed next to him, wrapping his arms around Sungmin, nuzzling his neck. 

“I missed you… this 7 months has been a total torture… When the hospital first called me and told me that you passed away, I didn’t want to believe..I knew you wouldn’t leave me.. Don’t leave me again Minnie please.. I love you.. So much…” 

“I won’t leave you anymore Kyu.. I promise.. when the metal door first hit my legs I thought that would be the end of my life.. Not until I woke up in the hospital, Hyukjae was my long lost cousin, he heard about my accident and decided to take me in.. So did Donghae, I owe them a living.. But when I knew that my leg would not be able to move any longer I felt as though my life has come to an end, but it didn’t. Only because I…” Kyuhyun cut Sungmin off by kissing him. 

“Even if the entire world collapses I will still be here by your side.. I will protect you even if your legs won’t be able to move any longer.. If you can’t travel on your legs anymore, I will be your legs. I will travel to the end of the world for you and with you. Just don’t leave me anymore Minnie..” Sungmin was already crying so hard that he could not make up a word but just nodded. 

“I.. *sob* I.. won’t *sob* leave you.. I *sob* love you *sob* kyu…” 

“I love you too Minnie..” 

And that was enough for Kyuhyun to hear, that night they made love with such intensity and love that the both of them would never regret. When you are given another chance, grab it immediately, once you start regretting it’s too late to start again.

(: If you haven’t read the first version and is confused who is who.. Donghae in the beginning is Sungmin. While Sungjin is Donghae. “LEETEUKHYUNGGGGGG!” A loud scream came from inside Super Sapphire Blue Restaurant. 

“SUNGMINNNNN!!!” Leeteuk ran up to the boy in wheelchair and hugged him tight, I’m glad you finally told him. I hate seeing my little Kyunnie sulking every day!” Sungmin giggled softly and pulled away from the hug. “I’m glad I have Kyu too!” 

“Min are you not going to tell them the good news?” Kyuhyun asked with a smirk on his face. “Oh of course I am!” Sungmin squealed in a high pitch voice. “KYUHYUN PROPOSED! WE’RE GETTING MARRRIIEEEEEEDDDDD~!!!!!!!!!!”
