CHAPTER7   It started low then blared louder and louder. Miah looked around startled. It was everywhere, and nowhere at the same time. It was as if the screaming siren was vibrating up from the ground itself.   “What is that?” Junggie questioned, shaking slightly.   “I don’t know. Maybe it’s like a storm warning or something,” Miah reasoned.   They all walked to the middle of the street, each looking in different directions. Miah was confused about where the sound was coming from, and worried about what it could mean. She considering advising everyone to head back to the car, but before she could voice her thoughts, she heard an eerie metallic grating.   Slowly turning toward the noise, she realized it was coming from the alley she had just been standing in front of. Gulping she stepped toward it, but before she could take more than two steps, Jae’s piercing screams rang out. Whipping around in fright, she looked toward her friend who was covering with one hand and pointing off toward another alley way with her other.   Out of the alley way she was looking toward came what seemed to be a man. Yet it wasn’t a normal man that was for certain. Miah saw that the thing stood tall on two long legs like a man, but his upper body was encased in grayish warped skin. It held no arms, and what was more freighting, it had no face. Just a blank slate that held indention and protrusions of where facial features could be. On its chest seemed to be a gaping wound that oozed black fluid.   As it moved closer with crooked, awkward movements, all of the group's phones started to go off. The devices made loud buzzing white noise that made their ears ring.   “Oh my god, what is that thing?” Jae screeched backing away.    We all stumbled back with her, Kris pulling the shaking Jae behind him. The creature, being closest to Suho, suddenly started shaking and quivering violently. It shrieked and let loose the black sludge, which Suho narrowly missed.
