CHAPTER19 “The two of you can sleep here,” a woman says pointing to a church pew with one blanket. Suho nods and sends her away with a smile and a thank you for the small bottle of water and loaf of bread she handed him.   Miah on the other hand, completely ignored her, and moved to lie on the hard wood surface.   “You should eat,” Suho whispers, taking a seat next to her head. She rejects his idea though and wiggles over so that her head was in his lap. Closing her eyes, she thought back on the day’s events.   After Cristabella had finished her story, she escorted them out of office saying that they could spend the night here and she would speak to her fellow brethren about a way for them to leave. Miah knew she was lying though. If she and the rest of ‘these people’ hadn’t found a way out yet, then they weren’t going to be able to help her. That also meant that Jae and the others were most likely still somewhere here in Silent Hill.   But with night soon approaching, Miah knew it wouldn’t be a good idea to leave. Suho thought so too, telling her when they had a moment alone, that they would go and search for the others in the morning. Then once they found them they could figure out a plan from there.   It was all so taxing. The running. The fighting. The horrible story. How could they do that to a little girl? Even if they thought she was witch, she was just a child. An innocent.   She must have started to shake because Suho began running his hands over her hair, and making small comforting noises. It helped more than he could imagine. Her eyes grew heavy, sleep wanting to take her. Miah wasn’t going to fight it though. She’d take anything to escape the hell-like reality she was living at the moment.     “What a beautiful baby! Yes you are!”   Huh? Who’s talking? The colors are all so vivid and new. There is a children’s mobile right in my line of sight. The small plump elephants of various colors, spinning slowly above my head. a soft melodic tune coming out of it.   “Aww what a beautiful girl I have! Since your appa is out do you want to see something pretty? Shall i?”   I can’t help but glance over at the sweet, high pitched voice. A short women with long brown hair and a slender figure is staring down at me; an awestruck expression in her eyes.   “Here, look my love.”   'Umma?’ I try and say, but for someone reason my mouth won’t answer my thoughts. It’s as if it has a mind of its own. Only opening to emit soft gurgling sounds.   Unable to do much more than watch, I gazed at my mother who raises a fisted hand. She mumbles something I can’t make out then opens her hand in a burst. Like a star being born, a purple light spills out of her now open palm. It shines bright then dims to a romantic glow, its beams shooting out in all directions. My head turns and stares around at my baby pink walls. The brilliance from my umma’s hand having hit it in various sized beams. The purple dancing around prettily. It was as if I was staring into the night sky.   How?   A loud giggle erupted out me, shaking my entire frame. My mother smiles down at my giddiness and asks, “Do you like it Miah? When I was younger my mother used to do this for me too. It’s pretty right? Just like you. Ill show you how to do it one day, and then you can show your daughter when you have one! Maybe I’m getting too far ahead of myself eh? Maybe I should just worry about you starting to talk.”   A loud banging sounded from somewhere outside the room. The once beautiful light immediately seized to exist, and I began to cry.   “Oh! No no my love. Don’t cry!” my mother exclaims taking me into her arms. “Your appa is home. Don’t you want to see him?”   The door opened, but my father didn’t walk through. Instead I was propelled out of it. I was thrown out onto a sidewalk where other children seemed to be skipping around. I looked on in confusion.   What’s going on?   “Miah what are you doing?”   Huh? A girl my age had her hands on her hips with a peeved expression. A boy very similar to her stood with a bashful look on his.   “Jae? Junggie?”   “What? Ugh just go get the ball already! It’s your turn!” she exclaims.   “Jae Hwa, Jung Hwa, come in already. Umma made lunch!” a woman says from a few houses down.   “Oh okay. Coming! I guess we’ll see you later Eun mi. but don’t forget to get the ball!” Jae says before grabbing her brother’s hand and running off in the direction of their mother.   Ball? What was she talking about? Looking around for any sign of the ball they were talking about, I finally notice it in the street. It was red and bouncy looking. Sighing I got up and walked towards it knowing Jae would never let it go if I didn’t get it.   “Miah! Come in! I made seaweed soup for your appa’s birthday!” a voiced called to me. Turning I see my mother in the door frame of the house right behind me.   We must have been playing in my yard.   “C-coming umma. I just need to get the ball,” I say pointing toward the vibrant toy.   “Ani! Get out of the street. It’s dangerous. I’ll get it!” she says coming down the steps and following the cements path that lead to the sidewalk.   “I’m closer. I’ll get it!” I call back stubbornly.   “Miah I said no! Now come here-“ she was cut off by a loud honking that rang out.   Glancing toward the noise I find a white van heading straight for me. My mind screamed to move, but fear had glued my feet in place.   Am I going to die?   “Miah!!!” my mother shrieks out! As she screamed my name I abruptly feel my feet lifted off the ground and body hurled backwards. I landed in my mother’s arms, to which she

Chapter 13: Well, I don't know. I'm the type of person to easily get scared so... This is scary enough for me. Even if it's scary, it's a good scary. Besides, I needed to venture out of my comfort zone anyway. :-) This is really good! ^_^
