CHAPTER4 The next day arrived fast, and the sun was at its highest point already. Both Suho and Kris looked tired from taking turns driving while the other three were well rested, but just as quite. They had decided to stop at a little bbq shack for lunch and sat outside to enjoy the suns warmth, and the cool summers breeze.     They ate their tantalizing meal in silence, and when they finished, continued their drive in the same quiet. It was so quiet that every little bump hit felt like an earth quake.   This was not how Miah thought this trip was going to go. She was so excited for this... she thought they'd all be loud and playful, telling scary stories all the way there. Well... usually she was the one with the stories, but I digress; she felt too awkward to just pop out with a bloody Mary tale. Maybe she was a bit much yesterday. Should she apologize then? It wasn't in her nature to so openly express her wrong doings; it was not a nice quality to have, and she knew it.    Sighing Miah laid her head on the headrest and looked out the window. She became mesmerized by the passing scenery; the bright greens rushing by, with the occasional cow or other farm animal here and there. The perky blue of the sky, and pure white of the clouds mixing and blending together. It was so soft and peaceful.   Miah felt her eyelids growing heavy. She stifled a yawn and tried to blink herself awake to no avail. She eventually let sleep take her in hopes to find herself in a less uncomfortable atmosphere when she woke.     There’s so much rain. So much fog. I can’t hear anything, I can’t see anything. I’m scared. “Mama! Mama where are you!? Mama, I’m scared!”   Where am I? Why does it hurt so much? Where is my mom? Dad?   Something touched her foot. she started screaming, “ahhhh help, Mama! Papa! Someone help me!” Why can’t I move? Am I dying? Will I die here alone…deaf and blind to the world?   Interrupting her whimpering came a soft, tinkle of a voice, “Shhh baby, I’m righ---“     “Yah, Miah. Miah wake up! YAH!”   She bolted out of her dream from a loud voice yelling in her ear. Looking to her right Miah found Jae next to me, her arms crossed.   “Huh? What’s your problem? I was sleeping,” she grumbled.   Sighing Jae gave her THE look. “The guys were really tired so we are stopping for the night. They already went to check in.”   Yawning Miah looked out the window at their surroundings. They had stopped at a shabby motel with a half lit sign that was supposed to say Motel Sadie, but looked more like Motel die. “Not creepy at all, but totally cliche. Should be fun,” she clucked only to get a smack to the arm as a result.   Grinning to herself, Jae pulled Miah out the car then stretched her arms widely. She yawned when she saw the guys sauntering over; she hopped they had finished checking in so she can take a cat nap on an actual bed. Although she was slightly disgusted at the thought of sleeping at such a shabby inn.    “Good evening sleepy head!” Junggie greeted with a cheshire smile.   “Hey. What time is it?” Miah greeted back noticing the darkening sky.   “It's a quarter past eight,” Suho chirped looking down at his cell phone.   Miah nodded in understanding, “Oh, okay. Did you guys stop for food while I was out?”   “Of course not! We’d have woken you up if we had. What do you take us for?” Junggie laughed.   Chuckling back, Miah replied, “Yeah alright alright. You guys already checked us in right? Why don't you go pick something up while Jae and I get cleaned up." The guys rolled their eyes, but only Kris argued her slyness, “Why don't Jae and I go pick up some food, and the three of you can decide what we eat."   Narrowing her eyes at him, she thought for a second, “mmmm Jajangmyeon!”   “No, hamburgers," Junggie yelled excitedly.   “Um…Potstickers?”   “And we have a winner! Potstickers it is.” Kris grinned pointing at Suho. The other two pouted while grumbling about the food they asked for. Jae laughed loudly at the two, hitting their backs roughly. She ignored their winces and mumbled obscenities; placing her attention on her boyfriend. “Come on babe, let’s go grab these fatties some food.”     “Hey!” Junggie and Miah yelped . She continued to laughing as she and Kris got back in his vehicle and drove away.   “I guess we should take these to the rooms,” Suho smiled pointing at the luggage on the ground. Miah glanced toward the pile, her eyes widening at the amount. “All of this for just one night?” she squeaked. “Yup. I think Kris is a little high maintenance,” he nodded.   A little? she thought to herself annoyed.    Sighing, she still helped them drag the suitcases to the rooms a few doors down from the main office with little complaint.   Opening the door to the first room Miah did a quick sweep of things, noticing double beds with a small table holding a phone in between. Across was a really old looking TV that still had a place for VHS tapes. Opposite of the front door was another door, leading to the bathroom she guessed.   “We got two connecting rooms, both with double beds,” Suho said looking towards a door she had missed. It was perpendicular to the main entry, on the same wall the beds were on. The door looked rusted, and contained a small lock on the handle, in comparison to the main door that had both a small lock and a brass dead bolt. “You girls can sleep in here, and the us men can share the adjoining room.”   “Share? But there are only two beds!” Junggie moaned in innocence. “Eh, we'll figure it out when Kris gets back," Suho scratched the back of his head.   Miah smiled at Junggies childishness. She had to admit though; she'd complain too if you had to share a bed. Miah hated to share a bed.; even when she would spend the night at Jae’s she preferred to sleep on the floor, or she would make Jae sleep with Junggie in his bed down the hall.   Scrunching her nose, Miah looked away and got to work adjusting her luggage. “I’m gonna take a quick shower before Jae and Kris get back. I better not catch you guys looking through my you hear!” she said eyeing the two wide eyed boys.   “Mi-Miah! When have I ever?” Junggie pouted mollified. “Sixth grade, your and Jae’s slumber party,” she deadpanned. His face went white, but his cheeks turned scarlet, “Th-that was a dare, and y-you know it!” Suho just stood to the side, blinking confusedly at their interaction. His suspicions rose once again.   Giving them one last wave, Miah grabbed some clothes and headed into the door she noticed earlier. Opening it she sighed happily, having discovered it was a bathroom like she had guessed. It would have been embarrassing if she had walked into a closet.            Miah toweled her hair and strode toward the steamed over mirror. She stared at her blurred reflection, and for a second she thought she image turn its head when she had not. She blinked, rubbing her eyes. Even after sleeping in the car she was still seeing weird stuff. She supposed she wasn't used to this kind of travel and it was just messing with her head.   The uneasiness the reflection had momentarily given her made her smirk with a brilliant idea. She used her finger to write some characters in the steam of the mirror, then she turned the vent on so the heat would evaporate quickly.   Slipping on some simple cotton shorts and a tank, Miah ran her fingers through her hair and headed back into the main room. She noticed Jae and Kris were back, and food was spread out all over the floor. Everyone already chowing down to which she gave a lot glare as she plopped next to Jae.    Her friend gave her a guilty grin, “Sorry we already started eating, but you were taking forever." She passed Miah some food as the girl shrugged, "You have no idea how great that shower was after sitting in the car for so long. You should go take one soon too." She hid a smirk by plopping a dumpling in .   The TV was and humming her favorite show, Running Man. “I love this show,” Miah chirped through a mouth full of rice. Jung scrunched his nose at her, “Eww don’t talk with your mouth full." Miah laughed, sticking her rice specked tongue at him, “Mehrong!”   “Yah!” Jae yelped pushing her face, “You got rice on me!”  Kris laughed and high fived Miah, "Good job! She was a brat the whole way to the restaurant and back." "Babe!"      It wasn't long before they had finished eating, and a drama played itself on the TV no one was paying attention to.    "We should play a game," Jae announced with sudden brilliance. “I agree, let’s play truth or dare!” Jung said nodding at his sister.   Kris smiled, “It’d be a good way to better get to know each other.” He looked pointedly at Suho, then at Miah. The latter whom ignored him haughtily.    “Perfect! Miah you finish your drink? Hand me the bottle,” Jae said reaching toward her. She handed her the bottle while everyone else positioned themselves in a circle. Once all the food was cleared out Jae spun the bottle. It moved rapidly at first, then slowed down until it landed on Junggie to which she gave a wicked look.   “Ooh la la. My dear Junggie, dare or dare?” his sister asked. “Yah! That’s not fair,” he complained. He pouted and made fists turning them back and forth near his cheeks. Laughing at his aegyo she gave in, “Fine, truth or dare scaredy cat.”   Still pouting, he looked shiftily at everyone. “…T-truth.” “,” Miah teased meanly. “Yah! Watch your mouth!” he frowned. Laughing she nudged Jae to continue, but patted him apologetically.    “Hm….Is it true you kissed Sulli during that sleep over we had for our 11th birthday party?” At his sisters surprising question he turned to me with wide eyes, harshly whispering, “I told you that in secret!”   “Nothing is a secret between the three of us Junggie,” Ja

Chapter 13: Well, I don't know. I'm the type of person to easily get scared so... This is scary enough for me. Even if it's scary, it's a good scary. Besides, I needed to venture out of my comfort zone anyway. :-) This is really good! ^_^
