CHAPTER2
You know, standing up here in front of all these people is so surreal. It's not what you would expect. Even the shyest person would lose all reservations and just indulge in the moment. You can't help but revel in the excitement and tangible impatience. Walking from the stage back to my seat was like walking on air. A natural high had captured me, and I doubt that there is ever a more accomplished moment in a a person's light. Graduating high school is a once in a life time moment for everyone. It is a moment when you are transitioned from child to adult, and when you are thrown into the real world and the rest of my life.
So here I was, searching the crowd of replica uniforms and excitable faces for the only two I cared for. We agreed to meet momentarily before we parted ways for the night and our after party plans; or theres at the very least. I had no such plans. All I wanted was to go home, shower, and finish packing before I crashed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day for us; but longest for me.
"Hey, Miah!" a voice breaks through the loud chatter. I turn to find Jae, my closest female friend since childhood. "Hey," I smile back and hug her tightly. Il Jaehwa was a tall girl with almost a head high to my much shorter stature. She had the curves any girl would kill for and the confidence to match. With that came a warm sand complexion matched with long jet black hair. Her keen eyes and long lashes could strike any guy dumb and wanting. Of course, she only had eyes for one though.
"Man i'm so glad that's over. It was cool and all, but then Tiffany went up there with her Valedictorian speech and I just about passed out on Junggie," she complained. "Yeah, I thought she was gonna drool on me," a slim male came to her side. The female hit the strikingly similar looking boy, who only pouted then gave me as tight of an embrace as his sister had. "Tell me about it," I agreed, "I completely zoned out when she went up. It is Tiffany after all." "I know," Junggie laughed, "but I guess being bored paid off for her in the end."
Junggie or Il Junghwa as his mother named him, was my other best friend and closest male friend
