After The Party

Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Chapter Nine:

As the night’s events finally died down, Ji Yong, Daesung, Seungri, and Young Bae found themselves hiding in their dungeon. They were hiding because there were still many people left chatting the night away, that including the persistent Dong Wook, who was probably talking Seon Woong’s ear off. Neither of them pity him. After all, Dong Wook was pretty upset that Ji Yong turned him down several times tonight. Or at least, his brothers kept him from actually making an announcement that would have caused a commotion. Daesung was a special annoyance tonight as well, and for that reason neither of them could stop laughing now.

The atmosphere was just a happy one.

On one couch sat Ji Yong and Daesung, while on the smaller one held Young Bae and Seungri. They kept laughing uncontrollably and going back over everything that had happened that night, “I think that princess Hyuna proposed to you five times Ji” Seungri said, placing his hand out to show his five fingers “Five different times in five different ways,” he snorted with laughter, before rolling his head on Young Bae’s shoulder, pressing his hand onto his mouth.

“Honestly, I thought she was proposing oral on her last try, no offense” Young Bae chuckled, “But she was on her knees” he said as he kept steadying Seungri whom kept trying to fall over and land face first onto his crotch.

“Eww, no” Ji Yong shook his head, the grin on his face turning sour for a bit “never, F-no”

“It’s true though, especially when she nearly rubbed her cheek against your thigh” Daesung giggled, “I don’t think I have ever seen Prince Seven’s face go so red before”

“Really, was he embarrassed or was he mad?” Young Bae wondered, he couldn’t even tell anymore. There were so many people encouraging and cat calling at Hyuna when she lowered herself before Ji Yong. Ji Yong had jumped away and nearly ran out of there, but the crowd kept him in place as everyone else was trying to pat his shoulders or something. Guess when the alcohol hit them, everyone was starting to let loose and get touchy feely.

“Damn, isn’t he like older than us? I would have thought getting proposed for oral would be something normal for him,” Seungri giggled.

Ji Yong smirked, “Or maybe its cause no one has ever proposed oral to him,”

“I’d bet that you would have agreed to oral , if Seung Hyun was the one to propose it!” Seungri loudly yelled out, pointing an accusing finger to the pink blue haired vampire.

Ji Yong’s whole face went red. “Sh-Shut up Seungri!”

“Ha, you didn’t deny it,” Daesung smirked.

“Wow, what’s got you in such a good mood, Dae” Ji Yong smirked in return, knowing that ever since Daesung stood up to Dong Wook, he had managed to impress Minzy. In fact, he could remember her giving him a kiss before they sneaked out of the main party to come here, “Maybe its cause Minzy agreed to give you head later tonight, huh” Ji Yong joked and it was Daesung’s turn to go red in the face as he choked on his own spit.

“What, no” he shook his head, eyes wide.

All three of his brothers started to laugh, “You look so scared Dae” Young Bae commented.

“It’s because he’s so innocent,” Seungri expertly said, nodding his head.

“And you’re not?” Young Bae shot back, making the younger blush. Of course, now he had to prove that he was not so innocent!

“I know more,” he said, getting up on wobbly feet and crawling his way over to the table, and standing on it. He nearly swayed forward and fell a couple of times, but Seungri somehow managed to keep himself balanced and standing, “I can tell you all just about anything there is to know about - ever heard of the Kama sutra…?” he mysteriously said making the other three jaw drop, “I can so name about fifty different positions right now!” he exclaimed, throwing his arms out proudly.

“Please don’t,” A deep voice suddenly said, making all four males in the room jump and scream bloody murder.

“! ,” Seungri said releasing his hold on Young Bae before rolling over on the couch and laughing hard. Young Bae covered his embarrassed face, but he was also laughing, trying to catch his breath. Daesung was struggling to hold his side and Ji Yong was begging for mercy through all the laughter. Neither of them had expected Seung Hyun to suddenly show up, but they couldn’t believe that just the sound of his voice had made all of them scream and nearly jump out of their skin. “Omo, how long had you been there Seung Hyun” Seungri sighed as he looked at the blue haired man with a toothy grin.

“Just as you asked the others if they had ever heard of the Kama Sutra” Seung Hyun pursed his lips to show his obvious distaste in that.

“Oh good, I was just getting started. I’m guessing you’ve heard of it, so you would already know what Doggy style and sixty-”

“Enough Seungri” Ji Yong jumped, and placed a hand around his brother’s mouth. There was no way he was going to let his brother talk to his mate like that! Seungri ended up laughing and Ji Yong let him go, pushing him into Young Bae with a slight glare.

“We need to wash your mouth out with soap.” Daesung teased the young vampire, making him stiffen.

“Hell no” he turned his nose at that.

“Cute” Young Bae said fondly.

“You mean annoying,” Ji Yong grumbled.

“Anyways,” Seung Hyun said, “What did you need Ji Yong?” he asked. Ji Yong stood up, and reached his hand towards Seung Hyun’s, pulling him to sit on the couch between him and Daesung. Seung Hyun couldn’t help but flinch away from him when Daesung grinned so widely.

“Nothing,” Ji Yong blushed remembering what Ha Yi had told him, but it was not something that he wanted to talk about with his brothers around, “I…uh, just wanted you to hang out with us” Ji Yong sweetly smiled, making his brothers look at him oddly. After all, it wasn’t every day that you would see Ji Yong smile, sweetly at that, to just anyone. It was scary. But they realized that it was something they were going to have to get used to when it came to Seung Hyun.

“Hang out with you?” Seung Hyun sounded almost confused about the mere idea of having to hang out with them. It was almost as funny as the first time they had actually welcomed Seung Hyun to sit with them. At that time they learned that Seung Hyun had no idea what a television was or even seemed to have a clue what modern technology was like. Of course, it was blatant that Seung Hyun was a quick learner and soon had caught up with what that technology was, but still. Being once again in this room that they called the dungeon, labeled as a servant and hanging out with the princes didn’t seem very much like a good idea. “I don’t know”

“Yeah, why not” Daesung happily said.

“You are a part of Ji Yong’s life after all,” Seungri added, trying to wiggle his eyebrows suggestively.

Ji Yong settled himself beside Seung Hyun, pressing himself as close as possible to his side while wrapping both his arms to Seung Hyun’s own. Seung Hyun watched Ji Yong closely as the young vampire nuzzled his head into his shoulder. It somehow made him feel a bit uncomfortable and something else that he couldn’t describe, but it seemed to move his heart a bit differently. Then again everything with Ji Yong seemed oddly new. His beautiful master seemed to have eyes that shinned delightfully, and pouty lips that curled in enticing smiles. “Now, let’s really talk” Ji Yong said.

“Yeah,” Daesung agreed, “This is all going to be about getting to know you now Seung Hyun”

Seung Hyun’s eyes widened and he struggled to untangle Ji Yong from his arm. The reaction was not something that they were expecting, but Ji Yong kept his iron grip on Seung Hyun. “What’s wrong?”

Seung Hyun frowned, “I don’t feel comfortable telling you anything about myself,” he curtly said, looking anywhere but at Ji Yong. It wasn’t fair. If Ji Yong asked him anything, he would have no choice but to answer him truthfully and fully. He didn’t want that! He hated being stripped of his control over his words. He didn’t want to be forced to tell.

Ji Yong pouted, “Why not?” he demanded.

“I don’t want you to know, there are things about me that I don’t wish to share.” Seung Hyun groaned, “Will you stop it already, stop asking questions!”

“We just wanted to know about your childhood” Ji Yong said.

“I didn’t have a childhood” Seung Hyun deadpanned, before pressing a hand to his lips and looking down. Ji Yong, Daesung, Seungri, and Young Bae all stared in shock at what Seung Hyun had just said to them.

“How could you not have a childhood,” Seungri weakly whispered.

“Seung Hyun” Ji Yong whispered.

“I’m sorry, I should go,” Seung Hyun said, not being able to explain why he felt bad about saying those few things to Ji Yong. For a moment he wished he had something more pleasant to say. Something happier- that he had a childhood full of laughter and mischievous endeavors, but that all would be lies. Lies that he couldn’t tell Ji Yong, no matter how hard he tried.

For a second, Ji Yong’s hold on him slipped and Seung Hyun wanted to use that moment to escape, but he was too slow. Ji Yong re-tightened his hold around his arm, refusing to let him go, and then said, “Fine, we don’t have to talk about it, but that’s cruel. Who wouldn’t allow a child to have a childhood? We will do everything to make sure that you have fun and enjoy being here”

Seung Hyun stared at Ji Yong wide eyed. “You don’t have to” he said.

“Of course not, I want to” Ji Yong smiled.

“In case you hadn’t noticed Seung Hyun, Ji Yong really likes you” Daesung said, causing Ji Yong to blush and Seung Hyun to look at him in confusion.

“Not that he does much to hide it,” Young Bae said before Ji Yong could deny what they were saying. The fact that Ji Yong had fought his way into Seung Hyun’s lap only became apparent to him now. Seung Hyun glanced down, taking in how Ji Yong’s legs straddled him. This was all new to him, so he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to feel.

“Uh…I” Ji Yong scrambled out of Seung Hyun’s lap to sit beside him again. “I got carried away” he muttered, and his brothers fell into another fit of laughter.

“I’m starting to think that you all had a little too much to drink” Seung Hyun said, trying to dispel the thoughts of what it could mean for Ji Yong to like him. He had never heard that kind of phrase before, nor had anything like that directed at him.

For someone to like him…

“It was too little alcohol to be too much,” Seungri said, snuggling himself beside Young Bae. “Too little” he giggled.

Seung Hyun had lived with Vampires in the past, but never Vampires that were so young, and so open with feelings and thoughts. He knew that even though the drinks they had taken held just a touch of alcohol that alcohol still went straight to their blood system and then their entire bodies. He could only guess that the younger the vampire, the less they were capable of holding their alcohol. Which would explain why all four of them were currently giggling as if there was no end. The previous conversation was suddenly forgotten and all of them started to once again talk about the events of the party.

“Can you believe it?” Daesung asked, “What are you going to do Seung Hyun? Prince Seven wants to steal Ji Yong from you,” he fisted both his hands and Seung Hyun silently wondered how Prince Seven could possibly steal Ji Yong from him? It didn’t work that way. Ji Yong was the one who owned him, not the other way around.

Did it have to do something with these silly bonds they kept mentioning?

“No, no, no” Ji Yong shook his head, tightening his hold once more around Seung Hyun’s arm. “There is no way that Prince Seven will come near Seung Hyun, he could kill him,” the fear at the idea of that happening seemed palpable in Ji Yong’s eyes. He didn’t like the look.

Seung Hyun suddenly placed his arm around Ji Yong’s back, and the other one hooked under his knees and scooped him up. “Let’s get you to bed” he silently muttered and the struggle that Ji Yong had been planning on immediately ceased and only snuggled himself close to Seung Hyun’s chest.

“Cute! Cute!” Seungri said in singsong as he watched them go, “Consummate!” he yelled, before falling down onto the floor. Young Bae panicked and reached for him, deciding that Seung Hyun had the right idea and decided to take Seungri to bed. Only problem was that Seungri was not as cooperative as Ji Yong was, and Daesung ended up helping him finally get him to bed.

When they reached Ji Yong’s room, Seung Hyun gently placed him on the bed. Then he undid each of Ji Yong’s boots, pulling them off before pulling Ji Yong’s favorite bed sheets over him. Every one of his moves was gentle and soft, which really was a wonder to Seung Hyun. He didn’t usually, or had ever for that matter, tucked anyone to bed before…

“I wish I could have danced with you, tonight,” Ji Yong sleepily said as he watched Seung Hyun. Seung Hyun brushed his thumb across Ji Yong’s soft cheek and shook his head.

“Sleep” he uttered, and Ji Yong happily closed his eyes.

Then he opened them again, “Seung Hyun” he urgently called, moving in time to grab Seung Hyun’s shirt and pull him closer. Seung Hyun hadn’t gotten far, and had to balance himself so he wouldn’t fall onto the bed with Ji Yong. “Seung Hyun”

“Yes”

“Tomorrow we’re really going to go buy you clothes, so you don’t have to wear anyone else’s clothes!” Ji Yong said, with shinning determination in his eyes. Seung Hyun was captivated once more by the stubborn beauty of his owner, before he dislodged his hand and urged him back.

“Alright, whatever you say”

“Of course, I say so” Ji Yong shook his head, and allowed himself to be placed back into bed. “I hate seeing you with other people’s clothes on you” Seung Hyun blinked down at Ji Yong.  “Aww, don’t look at me like that, you’re so cute” Ji Yong smiled, caressing Seung Hyun’s cheek before turning his head to bury his face into his pillow. Seung Hyun couldn’t help but watch him. He unlatched Ji Yong’s other hand from his shirt, and made sure that Ji Yong was asleep before he left.

Seung Hyun couldn’t help but sigh in relief at having gotten away without having to divulge any of his information over to Ji Yong. But he also knew that there was no way for him to stop Ji Yong from wanting to know and asking again. He needed to make the decision now, if he was going to be okay with saying too much in case Ji Yong asked again.

It wasn’t like had a choice really.

Whether he really wanted or not, he was going to end up spilling his guts to Ji Yong as soon as the vampire asked dreaded questions. His past wasn’t the most pleasant thing in the world.  And he didn’t need Ji Yong looking at him…like that. He didn’t want him to.

And then there was the bond that he couldn’t dissolve. He knew that Ji Yong didn’t know that he was not human, but the bond then should be really easily dissolved. It wasn’t like Ji Yong could really lock it and keep him when they didn’t even have a contract between them. There were no real rules or reasons for him to even understand how they had ended up this way…so wrapped up together. Maybe Ji Yong also couldn’t see it, but there clearly was a red ribbon that tied them closely together, and there was only so much Seung Hyun could pull it before he couldn’t go much further. It was something new to him.

Then again, this mark was different from his previous one.

Back then when he had been under the care of a Vampire whom he had been told to call Sir Park, his mark had been placed at his arm. It was a burden and a stinging reminder that any time he spoke back or went against his master it would burn. Just tonight when he had denied Ji Yong to ask him any questions about his past that burn was not there, in fact there had been nothing to warn him or try to pressure him to listen to his master that was coaxed by the mark.

It wasn’t even the mark itself that made him suddenly spill all his guts to Ji Yong- it had to be something else…but what? Something was pushing him to do so because he couldn’t even lie as easily as he did to others when it came to Ji Yong. No, there was actually a warmth in his chest that he thought was long ago gone and forgotten…He’d ever only felt icy cold, but now…

Damn it. Ji Yong, everything was freaking Ji Yong!

How the hell could he get the vampire out of his head! He had just lodged himself there and his thoughts just revolved around him! All of those thoughts made of dizzying fluff and odd warmth. He often ended up saying things about him that he didn’t actually mean to say out loud, but so far that had only been around Ha Yi, whom had giggled at him. She was a really sweet girl and had even been sympathetic to him about it all…or at least, Seung Hyun thought she had been sorry about something. He really didn’t understand what she meant.

“Don’t worry, everyone say’s being human isn’t such a bad curse, and being able to feel so freely and fall, isn’t exactly that much of bad thing. It’s just something we have to embrace” she smiled at him and then clapped both her hands, “You should probably tell Prince G-dragon how you feel, I mean he might not get mad, he…I don’t know but you should. And even though everything you should know, you are my type…we can be two miserable beings in this life. We can always have each other till death” she then darted away.

Seung Hyun had heard the phrase, misery loves company, but that had just been an odd offer. He didn’t ever plan on being miserable. He also didn’t plan on letting someone like Prince Seven come anywhere near Ji Yong! Yah, he had thought about why that was, but in the end he couldn’t help but feel that there was just something about the other man that was threatening and not worthy of being around Ji Yong.

All he could think after that was that he was being called to protect his master.

But the burn and pull wasn’t from the mark at his nape.

It was from something deep within his chest that he had always ignored- his heart.

His damned heart seemed to suddenly have a mind of its own. It seemed to also beat faster in a way that he had never experienced before, and it only happened when he was around Ji Yong. It was almost as if his heart was fighting in his chest to break free and fall in Ji Yong’s hands. Well, that would be the day Ji Yong took all his blood away and killed him; really, he never thought that his heart was that much of an important organ until he felt like he was having a . A heart attack with Ji Yong’s name written all over it! He was sure.

I don’t know what’s gotten into me Seung Hyun thought to himself. Last time he checked he couldn’t get sick. He could die probably a thousand deaths but at the end of the day he was still going to be here with nowhere to go. He was grounded to the earth, bound by the fact that he was not in his natural element. Bound to having to feed on the energy provided by his master, which usually was selfishly withheld from him in the past but now with Ji Yong he was often drowning on it.

He had watched Ji Yong train and knew that he was so strong! Ji Yong’s powers were awakening and they were like a flood. The young vampire was bursting with the energy that his own body right now was not sure how to deal with it, and his body greedily up that superfluous energy that Ji Yong couldn’t keep in. If the fact that just getting angry could make him shatter things around him or cause disasters wasn’t already an indication that Ji Yong had more power than he could handle right now, then Seung Hyun’s rapidly healing body and recharge of his own powers was. But honestly, the way that Ji Yong couldn’t control his own power was really starting to concern Seung Hyun. He liked feeding on it, it was warm and inviting, but to be honest he would become an addict at this rate and then what was he going to do?

Ji Yong had so much power and his body was still growing, because he was eventually going to need all of it, and it was going to fit into him. Ji Yong was going to need all of his power and he didn’t want to be the one to suppress him, or even inhibit his growth. He didn’t want to be the one to drain and keep Ji Yong from growing. Even worst, he felt like he could kill him. So there were times he simply couldn’t do it and refused the pushing energies that just begged to lace within him. Temptations pull was a but Ji Yong’s brown eyes were enough to overcome it.

But was it enough?

Seung Hyun didn’t think so. He needed to break away from Ji Yong, he was still a baby. Seriously, Seung Hyun just wanted to go back home. He missed it. He had been gone for too long. He didn’t want any more confusion. He didn’t want to hurt Ji Yong, but at the same time he had contradicting feelings that he didn’t want to let Ji Yong go. He didn’t want to leave. He wanted to stay and he blamed those feelings on his mark- despite knowing it had done nothing to make him feel that.

It was all his damned heart.

“Seung Hyun”

Seung Hyun paused in his walk and turned to face Ha Yi whom was still up. She was waiting by the door of her room. He didn’t say anything and she quickly caught on that he wasn’t going to say a thing. “Thank you for helping me through all of tonight. The Royal ball can always be a pain every year, so I’m grateful to you for everything. Umm” She nervously shifted, “Goodnight” she added, and opened her door and closed it behind her, quickly.

Odd little human, Seung Hyun thought to himself as he continued his walk. He wondered why Ha Yi was so nice to him and willing to ask him for help. Sure, he had offered his help and done as asked, but no one other than Hyun Joong really came near him and talked to him about more than just working. He wondered what Ha Yi’s deal was, what was her story? Her eyes told him that there was something more that she had wanted in the world but it had all been stolen from her before she could have a chance to have it. She also spoke about the shortness of life as if it was a curse…

Well, if he could find a way to use her then she would be his perfect little tool.

Finally reaching his room, Seung Hyun unlocked the door and closed it behind him. Looking around the room you could see that he didn’t own much. His closet consisted of little hand me down’s that Ji Yong had gathered and given to him. He kept saying that they were going to go shopping, but Ji Yong would always end up being hauled into a lecture or another training lesson. Ji Yong would take it all seriously though, never complaining about having to do it although Seung Hyun could see it in his eyes that he didn’t want to.

It was almost funny to see Ji Yong struggle with himself but Seung Hyun had learned that Ji Yong prided himself in keeping a good professional image.

So even though Ji Yong wanted to go shopping tomorrow, Seung Hyun doubted that they were going to go. But he was sure that he was going to have to get ready to deal with more cleaning and other household work. Not to mention that he would be watching over Ji Yong. Watching him learn, and watching him train as he had found himself doing since he had first seen Ji Yong do his lessons. Looking down at the white shirt he had on, he wasn’t exactly sure why Ji Yong didn’t like it- maybe it wasn’t fashionable enough.

Either way, he took it off, and pulled on more comfortable clothing to go to sleep with. But when he settled into his bed, it was futile really to even try. His mind was so deeply wrapped around in thoughts about Ji Yong that he couldn’t sleep. It was almost as if he missed Ji Yong right now, although he knew that he had just seen him and was nothing but a few hall ways away. Yet he could count the distance, and he could say that it was not that far but the reality was that he wanted to be right there with him.

He wanted to be close enough to watch him sleep.

But the idea even in his mind seemed so damned, good, bad, sick and twisted.

“Something is definitely wrong with me” he whispered. There was no way these kinds of feelings were normal. He was sick and that was it. “Damned Ji Yong”

Damned heart.
