Troubled and cold.

♥Oh My Soojung.♥

I drove to school the next day with Changmin.
Along the way, we met that girl who asked random questions the moment I came in to class.
Seeing us, she immediately hailed us down and entered with her partner.

"Hi Javier and Changmin, you two are early." She greeted cheerfully.

"Good morning Hyorin." Changmin replied with a smile.

"So your name's Hyorin." I muttered to myself.

Her partner seems to be especially shy.
Curious, I asked about her name.
She glanced at Changmin amd then back to me.

"My name is Song Qian, but you can call me Victoria." She introduced quietly.

"Victoria?" I questioned.

"Yes. Victoria."

"Okay then, nice to meet you." I grinned warmly, making her smile.

The four of us continued our journey to school in my car.
On the way, Hyorin started talking about yesterday.

"You are so brave to stand up to Myungsoo." Hyorin laughed.

"Why?" I asked, not seeing how this is funny.

"Myungsoo, belongs to the cold hearted category." Hyorin explained. "Although he looks good, I don't like his attitude."

Just then, we arrived at the front gate to be greeted by a commotion outside the school.
A crowd of girls surrounded Myungsoo and was making a lot of noise.
I then spotted Krystal, standing on the streets away from Myungsoo and the girls.

"Soojung!" Hyorin waved for the quiet girl as we went closer.

Krystal turned to our direction and spotted us.
She did a bow and smiled slightly before turning back to face the streets.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"It's always like that. Myungsoo gets all the attention and loves it. But Soojung has to bear with it." Hyorin sighed.

"We can't do anything for her?" I asked, pausing the group.

"We can't." Changmin shook his head. "Myungsoo isn't someone to be messed with."

The four of us walked into the school together after the discussion.
I took a glance over my shoulders and spotted Myungsoo walking in too, with Krystal walking slowly behind his arrogant figure.
I felt really bad. I wish I can do something for Krystal.
After the incident yesterday, I automatically took a seat beside Changmin.

"Javier, aren't you going to sit with Krystal?" The lecturer asked.

"No thank you sir." I sighed, remembering what had happened the previous day.

"So you are okay with Changmin?" He then asked.

I turned and look at Changmin, who grinned widely.
Seeing his expression, I began laughing and nodded my head in response to the lecturer.

"Good that you two are getting along." He smiled.

Krystal then entered the room, quietly.
She greeted the lecturer softly and proceeded to her seat.
But something was wrong, Myungsoo was nowhere to be seen.

"Soojung, where is Myungsoo?" The lecturer asked.

"He won't be coming sir." Krystal replied quietly.

"I see. In that case, I want Javier to sit with you today."

This again?
Did the lecturer have something against me?
I turned to look at Changmin who whispered that I should.

"Is it okay?" I asked Changmin.

"Sure." He grinned again. "I hope you two become friends."

I stood up and walked slowly over to Krystal.
Realising that I stood beside here, she turned to look up at me.
She smiled and gestured for me to sit down.
With that, I felt relieved and sat down.

"I'm really sorry about yesterday Javier." Krystal apologized softly.

"Don't be." I smiled and joked. "It was a nice "housewarming"."

Krystal uttered a soft laughter and took out her book.
Although in wasn't obvious, I discovered that she had a kind of bruise around her wrist.
I didn't dare to question what was it, so I just ignored it and read my book.

"You're not local are you." Krystal asked.

"Yes, I just moved here a week ago." I explained. "Family matters."

"I see." She nodded and resumed what she was doing.

"So about Myungsoo..." I asked, hoping I wasn't screwed. "You two seems different from couples."

"It's complicated..." Krystal sighed to herself.

"I think I can handle the complication. Maybe we can be friends." I bluntly said, surprising her.

She turned her head and looked into my eyes.
It wasn't a sign or anything, but I could tell that she was happy and eager.
Her eyes wasn't cold like Myungsoo and I saw the innocence that she had as a girl.

"But that won't be a good idea..." She sighed yet again and looked down at her book.

"Myungsoo?" I asked.

"Never mind, thanks for the offer to be friends Javier, but I really shouldn't..." She said quietly.

"Are you sure..?" I frowned and stared at her for a bit.

She noticed that my eyes was still on her and looked up.
Seeing that I was frowning, she smiled and nodded her head.
It felt as if she told me she would be okay. But her agony was so obvious.

I wanted to know as much as possible to the story behind Myungsoo and Krystal.
Yes, it may be a busybody act, but it was hard to see her being treated so different from other girls.

After a while, the bell rang for our long desired break.

"So how was it?" Changmin asked as I walked to him.

"She seemed so pitiful." I sighed. "I really want to help her."

"You know what they say. A couple must never have a third party interfering."

"I know, but she doesn't even think that it's possible to make friends when Myungsoo is around."

Changmin just told me to forget it and focus on studying.
We met Victoria along the corridor and joined her for lunch.
Krystal walked past us along the way downstairs.

"Soojung!" Changmin called out.

Krystal paused and turned around.
Changmin followed on with inviting her to eat with us.
Krystal was just about to come to us happily when Myungsoo came around the corner.

"Babe. Stop there." Myungsoo coldly said and pulled Krystal to his side.

"Oh hey Myungsoo." Krystal greeted and held his arm.

"Let's go." Myungsoo said, without asking for an answer, he pulled Krystal along with him.

Soon, the two of them was out of our sight.
All the three of us could do was to shake our heads in disbelief.
Realizing that there is nothing we can do anymore, we just headed to the cafeteria.

Krystal and Myungsoo headed upstairs to the rooftop.
Along the way, Myungsoo uttered absolutely nothing and continued walking briskly.
Krystal knew that Myungsoo was angry at something she did.
Keeping quiet, she followed him closely to the rooftop.

"What's wrong Myungsoo..?" Krystal asked timidly.

"Why are you talking to people behind my back?" Myungsoo expressed his disappointment.

"I don't understand what I did wrong..." Krystal stared up into his eyes and asked.

"You are suppose to have me and me only. No one else!" Myungsoo shouted.

Krystal knew what was the problem the moment he said that.
Putting her hands together, she bravely walked up to Myungsoo.

"We're just trying to be friends..." Krystal explained with a smile. "Is that even a problem? "

"Yes Krystal. Listen up. Apart from me, I don't allow you to be friends with anybody! Including girls."

"But why..?" Krystal sobbed, on the verge of tears from the harsh words he spoke.

"Because you are my property. I won't allow anybody to get close to you..." Myungsoo said, eyes wide open, scaring Krystal.

Krystal fell to her knees and began to cry.
However, Myungsoo showed no sign of remorse for what he did.
Instead, he just left Krystal crying alone on the rooftop and walked away.

"Myungsoo..." Krystal wailed and laid on the floor.

Meanwhile...

Changmin and I joked around in the cafeteria.
Using Victoria as an subject.
Although subjected to our teasing, Victoria seemed especially calm.

"Victoria, why aren't you tall?" Changmin asked randomly.

"What kind of question is that?" The puzzled girl asked and glared at Changmin.

Changmin continued laughing, seeing Victoria's adorable stare.

"Its Myungsoo!" The girls around the cafeteria screamed.

"My ears..." I whined as the sharp pitched voices rang through my head.

Myungsoo's head turned to my direction.
He stared at us, or actually me, for a while before smirking.
Why is he behaving this way? And...Where's Krystal?

The bell rang shortly after and we proceeded back to our class.
Myungsoo appeared to be leaving the school instead.

Back in class, I realised that Krystal isn't here as well.
Looking out of the window, a sudden downpour made me anxious to know where Krystal is.

"Javier, have you seen Soojung?" The lecturer asked, pausing his lesson.

"I have no idea sir. She wasn't with us for lunch." I answered.

"Sir, I saw Myungsoo and Soojung heading up to the rooftop earlier in when break just started." My classmate Lee Jinki revealed.

"Do you mind looking for her Javier?"

I nodded my head and immediately rushed out, ignoring what my classmates were whispering about.
I only had one motive in mind and that is to find Krystal.

Since she was last seen with Myungsoo on the way to the rooftop, my best bet is the rooftop.

I opened the door on the rooftop and came face to face with a scenery that was truely chaotic.
The rain pelted down onto the concrete surface of the roof.
I really need an umbrella at times like this, but I really have no time to find one.

I bit my teeth together and dashed out into the rain.
With the curtains of raindrops around me, my vision is affected.
As I decided to head back in, I saw her by the wall.
Krystal, was still sitting on the ground, with nothing sheltering her from the rain.

"Krystal! What are you doing?!" I cried out as I went over to her.

"Leave me here please..." Krystal begged.

"I don't plan on doing that!" I shouted and pulled her to her feet.

It was hard supporting her in the rain.
But for a friend, I was determined and finally, she was in shelter again.
She sat down on the top flight of the stairs and I closed the doors to the exterior.
After which, I sat down beside her sobbing figure.

"What happened?" I asked, twisting the water out of my shirt.

"I..." Krystal hesitated and started crying.

"Hey, its alright... There's only you and me here." I comforted, patting her back lightly.

Slowly, she started filling me up on what Myungsoo said earlier.
With that being said, she explained that she felt terrible, not knowing what to do.

"I see..." I mumbled after she finished her story. "Its alright for now, don't think too much."

"But, I feel as if I lost my freedom since the day I became his girl." Krystal wailed within her knees.

"Was Myungsoo always this cruel?" I asked. "I doubt you would want to be with someone like that."

"He wasn't like this before. When he courted me..." Krystal reminisced.

And so, according to what Krystal told me, Myungsoo was initially a warmhearted guy.
Back in high school, when he courted Krystal, he was very determined and never ever let her get hurt.
When it rains, he will always be there with a black umbrella, waiting for her after classes.
When the sun shone, they will spend their time reading together under a tree by the sea.

But why? What caused Myungsoo to have such a big change in attitude?
Why was he so pessimistic about Krystal making friends?
Did he experience something during the time he courted Krystal?

As all these thoughts ran through my head.
I was unaware that Krystal was still sitting beside me.

"Javier, can I lean on your shoulder..?" Krystal finally spoke.

"Is that a good idea..?" I asked, curious to her sudden question.

"I'm cold..." Krystal softly said and leaned onto my body. "Sorry I have to do this..."

"It's alright Krystal." I patted her shoulder lightly.

I felt uncomfortable, but yet comfortable at the same time.
It was uncomfortable because we are both drenched to our toes.
Uncomfortable that someone else's girlfriend is on my shoulders, when it should have been Myungsoo.

However, it was comfortable in a way I'm unknown to.
My heart warmed up as she told me her troubles, her past.
I wasn't sure why I reacted this way.

As the next bell sounded through the corridors, echoed up the stairs, into our ears, we knew we needed to leave immediately.
I held Krystal close to myself as I struggled both of our bodies to our feet.

"Thank you for coming up Javier." Krystal thanked as we walked through the corridors.

"I'm thinking what would happen if I didn't go up there." I joked.

"I'll probably be unconscious." Krystal laughed weakly.

"We're here." I informed while opening the doors to a hall of gasps.
