Yoon Gun- Will you come to me?

Haewon was dreaming. It was a strange dream. It wasn’t her typical nightmare about the accident.

She was in a wide meadow with the sun hanging high over her. She plucked several yellow flowers and placed them in a woven basket. It felt peaceful at first…until the wind started to blow.

Surprised, she dropped the basket and tried to cover her face from the whipping wind.

*I have to find Luhan oppa. I must go back to him.* She treaded through the meadow, calling his name over and over again. The clouds darkened, and thunder rolled in the distance. The wind picked up speed, and a storm brew over her. She was scared and lost.

“Luhan oppa…oppa…where are you? I can’t find you! You’re gone!” She sank onto the grass and covered her head in fright. “Oppa…oppa…”

Haewon sat up with a loud gasp. Eyes wide, she scanned the area in front of her. When she realized she had been dreaming, she went limp with relief. *It was only a dream.* Haewon touched her face and realized it was wet. She had been sobbing in her sleep.

Haewon wiped the tears off her cheeks and looked around.

The library was empty. There was no sign of Luhan anywhere.

*Did he go make breakfast again?* Haewon stood up, and something dropped onto the floor. She looked down to see a paper folded into a hexagon. *What is this?* Haewon opened the note. It was a letter from Luhan.

Dear Haewon,

I’m happy because you can finally read what I write. I was so happy when I found out you had your vision back. Nothing would have completed me more. He did for you what I could never have thought to do for you. Now, you must go back to him. He’s waiting for you in Canada where you belong now.

Her eyes widened as a dizzy spell overcame her. *No…he wouldn’t have…*

I know you’ll be in shock right now. I’m gone, Haewon. I left last night after I put you to sleep. I know it isn’t the proper way to say goodbye, but I had to do it for your sake, or you wouldn’t have let me go.

Tears welled up in her eyes. “No, oppa…”

I looked back in my life, and there is no accomplishment that I’m proud of. All I know how to do is to draw and love you. Those are the two basic goals of my life. I don’t have a real dream that I can achieve, especially since unlike you, I cannot reverse my disability. I don’t want to hold you back. You deserve so much better than me. When I saw the news of you engaged to Wu Fashion Inc’s successor, I was both miserable and relieved. I was miserable because, as you know, I love you. To see another man, who is the opposite of what I am, love you hurts me inside. Yet, I’m relieved to know that such a successful, caring man is in love with you. He can take care of you better than I do. You and I both know that fact. I don’t want to hold you down with me. I want you to live out of the box that I live in and experience the fullest of life
