Chapter 5

Few months later…

Yuri was staring at the mirror and she couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her baby bump. Two months more and their little angel would be born. From the bottom of her heart, she knows she is ready to take the role of being a good mother. She also believes the same for Yunho.

“Gosh Yul. I can’t believe that you’re going to give birth soon. I’m so excited.” Sooyoung exclaimed.

Yuri couldn’t help but laugh at her friend’s remark. Since high school, she has been friends with the eight greatest people she has ever known. They are Tiffany, Yoona, Jessica, Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Seohyun and Sunny. They have been there through thick and thin, through every heartbreak and happiness, through every tear and laughter. And if not for them, she wouldn’t have met her husband.

“So, what’s the gender of the baby?” Tiffany asked.

“We still don’t know. Yunho wants it to be a surprise.” Yuri answered.

Yoona chuckled. “As expected from Jung Yunho.”

“Seriously guys, when do you plan to get married? It feels weird that I'm talking about marriage and motherhood and you’re still talking about the latest bags, shoes and clothes that our out in the market.” Yuri said.

Sooyoung cleared . “I think our Taengoo would like to answer that.”

Taeyeon’s eyes widened in disbelief. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Stop making stories Choi Sooyoung.”

Sooyuong smirked. “Why don’t we just ask Junsu-sshii on how he confessed his feelings to you and how you went home with a big smile on your face because of that?”

Yuri clapped her hands. “That Kim Junsu! I knew it! TaeSu all the way!” she shouted

The rest followed in teasing Taeyeon which made her face turn red. She glared at them and turned to face Sooyoung again. “Yah Choi Sooyuong! Want me to tell Changmin that you like him and that you have pictures of him on your phone?!”

Taeyeon’s revelation brought even more surprise to the girls. Sooyoung seemed obviously embarrassed about it. She couldn’t believe that one of her friends actually knew about her secret feelings for Changmin.

“I can’t believe that these stuff are actually being revealed just now. And you, Sooyoung, I can’t believe that you actually like Changmin. I mean, you always fight and tease each other.” Jessica pointed out.

Sooyoung’s face was evident of discomfort. “Stop that. And please, just please, don’t spill this to anyone. I don’t want Changmin to know.” She murmured.

“That’s like admitting it.” Sunny exclaimed.

With that, everybody started to roar in laughter. However, one person doesn’t seem happy about it and Yuri noticed it. She stared at Seohyun intently and saw how the maknae was trying to hide her feelings. She wanted to comfort her but she knew perfectly that Seohyun will just pretend like nothing’s wrong.

Hyeoyeon opened another topic that snatched away Yuri’s attention from Seohyun. After few more hours of talking and catching up, her phone rang and when she saw who was calling, her lips curled into a smile.

“Hi, Yunnie.” She said lovingly as she excused herself from her friends.

“I miss you already. Is it okay if I fetch you there?” he asked.

Yuri can’t help but smile at the sweetness and thoughtfulness of her husband. “Sure. We’re almost done here.”  She said.

“Okay, then. See you.” he said and ended the call.

Yuri can feel the excitement rising from her chest as she touched her tummy. Little did Yunho know, he’s totally in for a surprise.

Yunho was leaning on the car when Yuri came out of Sooyoung’s house. She smiled at the sight of her gorgeous husband. And as soon as he was within her reach, she hugged him and gave him a peck on the lips.

“I missed you.” He whispered.

Yuri chuckled. “You’re so cheesy. We’ve just seen each other a while ago.”

 “You know very well that my heart always longs for you.” He said as he looked at her intently.

She punched him playfully on the arm. “Stop that. I’m blushing.”

Yunho ruffled her hair and kissed her forehead. “Come on, let’s go home.” He said and helped her get inside the car.

“How’s my little Jung?” he muttered cutely while caressing Yuri’s tummy.

 “He’s kicking more often now. I think he’s really excited to see Daddy Jung.” she said.

“Of course. I’m the best.” Yunho said and tapped his chest confidently.

Yuri smiled and closed her eyes. Soon enough, she was already past asleep. When she woke up, she was already inside their room. Her eyes searched for Yunho but he wasn’t there. She got up and headed down to the garden. There she saw him watching the beautiful night sky. She hugged him from the back and nuzzled her nose on his bare arm.

“What are you doing here?” she asked.

“Nothing. Just trying to catch some fresh air.” he answered.

“Here.” She said and handed a folded paper.

Yunho looked at her curiously. “Is this a love letter? That’s so creative of you, Mrs. Jung.” He said while waving the paper.

Yuri shook her head and smiled mysteriously. “Just open it.”

Yunho rummaged through the folded paper and when he saw what was in it, his jaw dropped. Yuri caressed his face as she was, like always, fascinated by Yunho’s surprised expression.

“It’s a boy, Yul. Our baby is a boy.” Yunho whispered.

“Yes, Yunnie. I just got that a while ago. When I saw it, the first thing that came to my mind was you. You’ve always wanted a boy, right?”

Suddenly, Yunho’s eyes started to well up. Concern started to form inside Yuri because her husband was not the type who would cry easily. She couldn’t understand what was happening to him.

“What’s wrong?” she asked while wiping his tears.

“I just can’t believe that this is finally happening. You, me and our little boy. If there’s one thing I always pray for, it is a happy family with you.” He said sincerely.

Yuri moved closer to him and rested her head on his chest. She could feel his arms being draped around her. All her life, she has always been seen as the girl with a perfect life but little did they know that she has always felt incomplete. But when she met Yunho, it was as though her world was turned upside down. She felt fulfilled and complete. And now that they’re finally on the road to building a family together, life couldn’t get any better.

Hi everyone! It’s been so long since I last updated. I have to admit that this is just a filler. I have been really busy in school and the next chapter is a BIG one so I’m trying my best to give justice to it that’s why I’m taking so long.
