I have never actually felt the feeling of being alive. Each day would just seem to go by like an everyday routine. Just the same old bed, I wake up every morning from, the same old fridge that I open every day only to find out there’s nothing inside it. The same old faces I see in school and the same old school uniform that I purposely have to wear.

I mean….

Is this really all of it? Is there really nothing else? Is this really what it meant to live? These questions kept ringing in my head non-stop.

That was what I thought until I met him…

He changed my ways of seeing life. He changed me…

He was different than the rest but then again maybe not. Still there was something about him that I didn’t understand. I didn’t know what it was but it had drawn me to him.

And yet somehow I knew that it was all just was a vivid part of my imagination.

But still I wanted it to be true…

His name is Kim Myungsoo but most people call him L. He seems like your everyday kind of guy, so carefree, so alive.

How could someone be so happy? I mean, he didn’t have the perfect life…

Like me, he had no parents, no real friends to rely on. But still he was happy. So how come?

How can he smile like that? While I’m feeling like this, I guess in a sense I was jealous.

Jealous that he can go on living while I can’t…

Life has given up on me. That’s what I thought.

Either way I didn’t really care. At that moment all I wanted was for everything to be over, done for.

But I guess, life gave me another chance.

So here I am telling you my story on how my journey began and how it made me what I am today.
