“She’s so beautiful, I just love the way she twirls her hair like that while she’s talking”, Gerald thought as he couldn't take his eyes off Kim. As usual, he’s mesmerized by her every move that he has absolutely no idea whatever it is that she had just said.

Lara: Hello! Gerald, hoy! Earth to Gerald…

Gerald: Huh? (as if he had just been waken up from a dream) (He realized that the whole group’s attention is on him now.) Sorry guys ha, I wasn’t really paying attention.

Kim: I was asking if may ideas ka bang mai-contribute for our group’s play presentation?

Joaqui: Kasi naman you couldn’t take your eyes off Kim, hayan tuloy nawala sa sarili.

Group: Oyyyy!!!

Kim: Wag naman kayong ganyan, hindi ako ang iniisip nyan no. Ang dami kayang girls nasa isip nyan bakit idagdag pa ako.

Joaqui: Kunwari ka pa, I know that you’re aware ikaw ang tinitigan nya ng napakalagkit kasi you’re blushing!

Gerald: Oi, wala akong ibang babaeng iniisip ah! (He suddenly blurted out) “Dang, did I just say that out loud? Ooops!”

Shaina: Whoah! Ikaw lang talaga iniisip nya Kim oh, he just admitted.

Gerald: I meant wala akong girls na iniisip!

Group: Palusot ka pa huli ka na Ge. Hahaha..

Lara: Ang cute nyong dalawa, you’re both blushing pa ha.

Gerald wanted to disappear right there and then. At the same time, he liked the feeling of being teased about Kim. He didn’t know what to say next so he just covered his blushing face with his hands and ducked under the table to hide.

Kim couldn’t stop laughing at how cute Gerald looked under the table. “Ang cute nya when embarrassed para syang vulnerable little boy. Nakaka in-love pa ang smile nya!”

Kim: Come on guys, as president of the third year drama club I’m asking all of you to get back to work and mag contribute kayo ng ideas for our drama presentation ok! Some of us don’t live within walking distance to school so maging considerate naman kayo and let’s get this meeting going para maka-uwi naman kami before dark!

Shaina: Hala serious na yun ha nagsalita na si madam president! Hahaha.

The meeting was cut short as the whole group couldn’t concentrate dahil kinikilig sila sa mga reactions of Kim and Gerald. Kim and Shaina were the last ones to leave the room as they needed to lock up. As they were closing the door, Shaina noticed Gerald coming towards them so she decided to make an exit.

Shaina: Kim, sorry I just remembered may pupuntahan pa pala ako.

Kim: What? Where are you going?

Shaina: Basta I’ll call you tonight na lang ok?

Kim: Hoy, my hands are full. Ang dami ko kayang dala tapos iiwan mo lang ako.

Gerald: Here let me help you. (taking all the things off Kim).

Kim: Oh Gerald, you’re still here. Thanks ha. Ewan ko anong nangyari dun sa bestfriend ko bigla na lang akong iniwan.

Gerald: Kim pasensya na sa nangyari kanina ha.

Kim: Ikaw naman kasi bakit ka ba nagstare sa akin? See what you’ve done? Hindi tuloy naging productive ang meeting natin.

Gerald: Sorry talaga ha, I didn’t mean to stare. Sana you won’t think na weird ako.

Kim: I don’t mean to offend you or anything pero, do you have a problem with me?

Gerald: Huh? Of course not. Why would you think that?

Kim: Ah wala, kasi nag stare ka kanina I thought maybe may problema ka sa akin. You know how sometimes you just really hate a person kahit walang reason?

Gerald: Of course not! Far from it. (He stopped walking which also made her stop, stood right in front of her and looked at her in the eye.) Kim, I could never hate you. You’re the most beautiful person I know both inside and out so there’s no way on earth that I could put hate and you in the same sentence.

Kim just stood there unable to move. She couldn’t take her eyes off his beautiful brown hypnotic eyes and her heart was beating double time and a half extra fast. After what seems to be forever of being lost upon his gaze, she finally managed to get back to earth.

Kim: Nahihiya naman ako dyan sa mga compliments mo. Pero thank you na rin, at least I’ve found a new friend.

Gerald: It’s all true. Lahat naman sila thinks so highly of you kasi ang bait mo and you’re cool with anything. Kaya nga ang daming guys na in-love sayo eh.

Kim: Naku ikaw nga dyan eh ang dami daming chicks na hindi lang humahabol and nag stalk sayo nagkaka-sakit pa sa puso binati mo lang ng ‘hello’.

Gerald: Anong ako, wala akong chicks no. I’ve had dates before pero wala na akong interest with other girls lately. Ikaw dyan ang blacklisted na sa department of health sa dami ng mga guys na nagka-heart problems dahil sayo.

Kim: You just copied what I said eh, iniba mo lang yung sentence. Hehehe..

Mel noticed Kim and Gerald heading towards the school gate na nagtatawanan at nagkikilitian pa.

Mel: Joyce, tingnan mo yung dalawa oh. First time ko yatang nakita si Kim and Gerald na magkasama.

Joyce: Ang sweet nila no, bagay pala sila parang ang saya ng pinagusapan nila. Sabi ko na nga ba may something na mangyayari sa dalawang yan kasi since first week pa lang, parang in-love na si Gerald kung makatingin kay Kim. Si Kim naman may pasulyap sulyap pang nalalaman.

Mel: What? I caught Gerald staring at Kim a few times na pero I never noticed na sumusulyap sulyap pala si babae.

Joyce: Kinilig ka ah. Akala ko ba you’re on Matteo’s side? Bakit parang nag-convert ka?

Mel: Syempre Matteo pa rin ako, I'm intrigued lang dahil sweet na ng dalawa kahit first time pa nila to have a real conversation. Para kasing they’re on a world of their own eh. Pero when it comes to what’s good for my bestfriend, hindi ako boto for Gerald. Ang dami kayang chicks nyan. Selosa pa naman si Kim, ayokong masaktan lang sya ni Gerald ano. Kahit na ganyan sya ka-gwapo, uupakan ko pa rin sya!

Joyce: Ang sama mo. Basta ako, I like Gerald for Kim. Ang ganda ng genes ng future kids nila. Hehehe…

Mel: Kung ano ano nang pinag-iisip mo! Hehehe.. Maka-alis na nga baka maiwan ako ng ride ko parang distracted pa naman yan baka hindi nya mamalayan na wala pala ako sa motorbike nya.
