Today, we had an unexpected changing of seating arrangement.

So now, I’m basically sitting beside Myungsoo, and some girl I was never close with. I think her name was Hyorin? Whatever.

By the way, Myungsoo has this huge (really huge) crush on my bestfriend Sungyeol, but too bad, Sungyeol is perfectly straight. He can’t even talk to Sungyeol; I wonder how is he supposed to show his sincerity and everlasting love to him? We’re not really close, but we have exchanged messages now and then, our topics mostly involve Sungyeol. It’s awkward for me right now, because we never really talked personally.

Myungsoo is busy talking to Riseul, his seatmate on his left side. So, that means I’m on his right side. He never actually tried to start a conversation with me, so neither did I. Maybe this is also awkward for him, or maybe he’s shy, because I’m Sungyeol’s bestfriend. But hey, it’s not that I am affected by it.

I scanned the room, looking for that goofy bestfriend of mine. Ah, there he is, talking with that guy named Jihoon. The latter is one of his bestfriends, but of course I’m always at the top. He said that the guy asked him to be his bestfriend, and Sungyeol agreed. I don’t mind, really, in fact I’m glad that he’s socializing a bit. Sungyeol was socially awkward just a year ago, that’s why I’m happy for his improvement. I am confident that he’ll never replace me as his number one bestfriend ever so I was never worried about him having bestfriends other than me. I smiled at the thought.

Just as I was about to tear my gaze off of him, he caught me staring and I quickly scoffed, turning my head to my left.

Then, I heard Sungyeol’s annoying laugh.

“Woohyun, get off my chair.” I said, pushing the said guy lightly.

Woohyun looked at me, “Can I sit here for a while? Just this period, please?”

Oh, how can I forget? Woohyun and Myungsoo are close friends. And just seeing Woohyun’s pleading eyes, I know that I can’t say no.

“Okay, fine.”

He mumbled a soft ‘thanks’ as I searched my bag for my textbooks.

“You’re welcome.”

Before walking towards his chair, I heard someone – it’s either Woohyun or Myungsoo – said, “I told you he’ll agree. He’s really kind, you know?”

How I wish that’s Woohyun.

It’s our free time so we can actually sit wherever we want. As for me, I am sitting beside Dongwoo, with Sungyeol in front of us. The three of us are like, bestfriends, but I’m closer with Sungyeol than Dongwoo. So the latter doesn’t really know about my little admiration for Woohyun. I know it’s kinda mean of me not to tell him, but I have my own reason.

Even though how tight our friendship is, Dongwoo and secrets don’t really mix well. And if I were to tell him a secret, it’s like I’m already telling the whole class about it. Because his mouth can’t be stopped, once he got his hands on a secret, it will probably scatter around.

He doesn’t even know that Woohyun’s calling me. I don’t really mind if my classmates know about it, it’s just… what if Woohyun doesn’t want them to know?

Being gay – or homoual – is not really uncommon in our school; almost half of the students here have the hots for the same . But, I don’t know how Woohyun will react if they knew. I wouldn’t risk what we have right now, even if it’s just a mere friendship.

My thoughts were interrupted by Dongwoo’s nudging.

“Hey, what’s on your mind?” he asked.

“What are you, Facebook?” I giggled out, Sungyeol joining me.

“Yah! It’s not funny! Why are you spacing out, anyway?”

“It’s nothing, I’m just wondering if we can go watch movies or somet
