Chap. 22~
Still With YouThey were once again in a brief silence. Chansung pulled the other into a tight embrace, giving him no space to protest or to push him away. “You’re too hard of yourself sometimes. Don’t go blaming yourself. I have my share of fault too.”
All too quickly Chansung went from holding the other’s hand to cupping his cheeks, forcing to look up at him. Chansung just smiled at the other as he pressed their foreheads together. “Let’s just put this all behind us now, ok?”
Junsu couldn’t keep the blush from creeping onto his cheeks. Giving a slight nod he mouthed a silent ‘Ok’. They were both so close that just the slightest move could have them up against one another. Chansung knew that and so he began to slowly lean forward. Junsu could feel his heart about to burst from his chest, and he was pretty positive that Chansung could feel it too.
Shutting his eyes Junsu swallowed hard as he felt the other’s breath against his lips.
“Junnie, Channie? Are you down here?” a little voice called out. Chansung pulled away and look towards the kitchen door, and from the stairway a little Wooyoung can be seen rubbing his sleepy eyes.
Chansung offered Junsu his hand and tugged him off of his sitting place and pulled him behind him. “Come on, let’s go.” Junsu still was at a lost for words so all he could manage were another nod as he walked behind the other.
“Wooyoung, are you ok?” Junsu asked the lil one once he found his voice again. Sleepy little Wooyoung pointed towards the refrigerator and mumbled a somewhat audible ‘thirsty’.
Chansung handed Junsu a cup as he pulled out a pitcher full of juice, pouring half a cup for the little boy. Wooyoung quickly finished his drink and sluggishly walked back upstairs.
“We should get back to bed too.” Junsu muttered under his breath, too embarrassed to make eye contact with the other. Quickly he walked behind the little one, with Chansung right behind him.
-
The next morning Junsu pushed himself up off of the stiff floor and stretched his sore back. Looking over his shoulder his gaze fell upon a peaceful sleeping Chansung. Recalling how close they were last night, caused him to blush like crazy, he was actually quite thankful that the other was still asleep.
Finally, he decided to get up. Junsu washed himself and headed downstairs to start making breakfast. As he entered the kitchen, he flipped the switch to test the power, lucky for them, it was back on, but the rain hasn’t fully stop.
“Let’s hope there won’t be another power outage.” He spoke to himself as he rummaged through the refrigerator, pulling out all the ingredients for pajeon.
One by one, the little ones would wake up smelling the food, the delicious food that they missed being made from Junsu. Climbing out of bed, they filed into the kitchen, wanting to help the other like they normally would.
“Cut the onions thinner Amber.” Sulli scolded the other.
“I want food! I hunger!” Little Junho demanded.
“Just hold on a bit longer. I'm still mixing the batter.”
Chansung was last to wake up. If all the clattering and chattering didn’t wake him up, sure enough it was the delicious aroma of pajeon coming from the kitchen. Pushing himself off of the floor he dragged his sluggish body downstairs.
Like he had done before, he walked up to Junsu who had his back turned away from him, placed his head against the other’s shoulder. “Smells good…” he muttered startling the other.
“Ya, Chansung! Don’t do that!”
“Sorry…” he yawned making his way to sit next to Amber who was still cutting away at the green onions.
“Here, you cut them.” Amber handed the scissors and remaining green onions to Chansung before climbing off her chair to join the other little ones in the living room.
Chansung brought the green onions and scissors with him as he took a place by Junsu who was busily making the batter. “Why didn’t you wake me up? I could’ve given you a hand at preparing breakfast.”
“You looked tired, so I didn’t want to disturb you, you looked so cute sleeping.” Junsu teased.
Chansung couldn’t help but smile, and playfully nudged the other with his elbow. “Don’t call me cute, I’m more handsome.” He scolded playfully. Junsu just nudged him back.
-
“Breakfast is ready.” Junsu announced as he placed the plates and serving plate of Pajeon on the living room table. The little ones were about to go into the kitchen but stopped when they saw the other who was covered in flour and clothes stained with uncooked batter.
“What happened big brother?” Junho asked tilting his head to the side full of curiosity.
“Nothing, eat here, stay clean.”
The little ones nodded their little heads before they started eating their breakfast.
Junsu returned to the now dirtied kitchen. Chansung was busy trying to clean the ceiling, while Junsu started to wipe the cupboards and dining table. “Next time, we settle things outside.”
“Well, next time you better not tickle me while I’m cooking, otherwise I’ll show you no mercy.” Junsu playfully threatened the other as he poked his side, making him laugh.
“Then don’t tickle me!” Chansung again attacked the other with more tickling causing them to fall against the floor in a fit of laughter.
As the laughter subsided, both Chansung and Junsu stared into one another’s eyes; it was like they were given a second chance to continue where they had left off last night before Wooyoung came into the kitchen.
Chansung slowly began getting closer to the other, and Junsu began leaning upward. They were close to one another when the back door flew open.
Startled, the two pulled away from one another. Quickly Chansung stood up and helped Junsu up as well. “I should make sure everything outside is still uhm… you know, there.”
“R-right, I’ll make sure the kids are ok.”
They both turned about and proceeded to their destination.
