The next morning as always Junsu was up early, but for once not too early. Today, Junsu was off. Stretching his arms over his head, he then twisted his body from side to side to relieve any discomfort he may have had. As he turned to stretch the opposite side, his eyes fell on a soundly sleeping Chansung. He couldn’t help but smile at himself as he watched the other sleep.

But that trance was soon broken when a small voice spoke up.

“Big brother what are you staring at?” Junho asked, causing Junsu to nearly fall off his bed.

”Junho! What are you doing up this early?” Junsu tried to dodge the question. But Junho continued, “Is there something on Channie’s face?” he asked as if the previous question was never mentioned. Junsu’s cheeks turned a slight pink tint, to which Junho just stared at the other confused, but thought nothing of it when Junsu mention something about breakfast.

“Since you’re up, you can help me make breakfast.” Junsu told Junho as he picked him up and made his way out of the room, closing the door softly behind him.

Junsu put Junho down once they entered the kitchen. “Now, what should we make for breakfast?” he asked the little one.

“Uhm… chocolate muffins.” Junho suggested but Junsu just smiled and shook his head. “How bout something you know I can make?” Junho went back to thinking.

“Blueberry muffins!”

“I can’t make muffins! What is it with you and muffins?”

“Pizza!”

“Junho be reasonable!”

Just before Junho could suggest something else another voice spoke up.

“Ice cream and waffles!” Sulli called out climbing up on the chair.

“W-what?” Junsu was taken aback by her suggestion.

Just then another voiced piped in. “Doughnuts! Like the ones daddy bought from the city that one time!” Wooyoung added.

Junsu just gave him a ‘you’ve got to be kidding me’ look, before shaking his head no with a smile.

“Oatmeal cookies and milk!” Luna called out as she pranced into the kitchen to join the others. “I like cookies and milk.”

“We’re talking about breakfast, not snack time.”

“Nachos!” Amber threw in her suggestion while running down the stairs before entering the kitchen.

“I swear, you kids are the worst when it comes to deciding what to eat.” Junsu teased. “How about you look in the fridge and see what have?”

“Ok fine…” they agreed with playful disappointment some making their way to the fridge and the others looking in the cabinets. Junsu who was standing off to the side was taking by surprise when random veggies and various ingredients came flying his way.

“Ok now use your magic cooking powers and make something yummy!” Junho happily exclaimed as he skipped out of the kitchen soon followed by the others. Looking at the random ingredients on hand, Junsu came to the decision that he’ll attempt to make kimchi raymun from scratch. Pulling out one of Victoria’s cook books, he flipped to the soup section.

“I think I’ll go buy some groceries later.” Junsu muttered to himself as he filled the pot with water. “Then maybe I’ll give Vic a call and see how they’re doing.”

“Brother, is it time to eat yet?” Sulli asked tugging on his shirt with a pout. Junsu smiled and smoothed down her semi-messy hair. “Not yet. Why don’t you guys start on the chores? I’ll let you know when it’s ready.” Sulli nodded and skipped happily into the living room where the other children were.

Aroma filled the kitchen, Junsu smiled to himself as he watched the food cook on the stove. Letting out a content sigh he opened the window, allowing the fresh morning air fill the kitchen.

The mixed smells of the food filled the rest of the house, the aroma reached Junsu’s room causing Chansung to automatically shoot up from the bed. Letting out a stifled yawn, he rubbed his eyes and made his way downstairs. He passed by the kids who were busy ‘cleaning’ the house to notice Chansung.

Chansung let out another yawn that went unnoticed by Junsu who was concentrating on his cooking. Taking a big whiff of the scent in the kitchen, Chansung snuck up behind Junsu and placed his head on the other’s shoulder to see what he was making.

Junsu just sighed before speaking up, “Junho, it’s not ready yet. I told you to stop climbing on the chairs.” He scolded; expecting to hear a protested remark and the weight to disappear from his shoulder, but there was none. He looked over his shoulder, and was greeted with a half sleeping Chansung who was about less than an inch away from his face.

”Yah! C-Chansung!” he exclaimed loudly, stirring the other from his slumber.

The sleepy Chansung let out another yawn and rubbed his eyes, unaffected by Junsu’s yell. “G’morning. I’m surprised to see you here” Chansung greeted as he stretched his body in several directions. “What are you making? It smells good.”

“I have the day off today, and I’m trying to make kimchi raymun from scratch. Want to taste?” he asked the other. Chansung gave him a small smile and took the ladle from the other. Dipping the ladle in the broth Chansung took a small sip and smacked his lips together. “Taste good, is it time to eat?”

“Not yet! I still need to make the noodles.” He scolded.

“Would you like some help?” Chansung offered with a smile, making Junsu’s cheeks flush a bit. “N-no, it’s ok. Just set the table. I’ll be done in a few minutes.”

Few minutes later breakfast was ready. “Alright, let’s dig in!”

“I’m going to do some grocery shopping today.” Junsu stated, “Is there anything we need? Not want, but really need.” He emphasized before the little ones started to list off random things.

“Food!” Wooyoung stated aloud making the others giggle. “What kind? And no junk food, just ones we really, really need.” From around the table the kids started shouting different selections of food, and Chansung wrote them down.

“Alright, let’s see what we have here.” Junsu read the list and crossed put all the unnecessary options. “Big brother, can we come too?” Luna asked with her biggest puppy eyes she managed to make, hoping it would convince Junsu.

“I can’t take all of you. You know how mum would freak out if she found out that I took all of you out.” Junsu is fully capable of taking care of the five of them, but wasn’t confident enough to take them all with him. “I’ll only take two…” The kids started to arg
